He Rushed It

“You ever noticed how people who believe in Creationism look really unevolved?  You ever noticed that?  Eyes real close together, eyebrow ridges, big furry hands and feet.  ‘I believe God created me in one day.’  Yeah, looks like He rushed it.”

You ever notice how people that believe in evolution seem to think that their own limited senses not only perceive all that exists but are also able to perceive all that exists?

They seem to think all of reality is fully defined by their limited ability to sense it and go on to deny that anything other than that can exist or affect the tiny reality they perceive without them either knowing about it or understanding it.

You’re gong to hell with Stucky. I hope you burn and then burn some more. You still have time to turn your heart to Jesus. Do it, Meathead. before it’s too late.

Religion is nothing more than a panacea for the masses.

You ever notice how people who believe abortions (killing a helpless fetus) or males sucking dick (deviants), or GloBull Warming (shrunken grey matter) take great pride in attempting to humiliate others so that they feel superior.

BTW, I am an Atheist that respects the freedom of choice.

As usual the whole Creation vs Evolution thing is ENTIRELY a logical fallacy known as a False Dilemma. The step-by-step logistics of how we got here is just a silly, emotionally-driven, unknowable debate and it MISSES THE POINT.

The real argument is Accident vs Purpose. This is the only argument that is applicable at all levels of perception. It can be made in micro (as Jules Winfield put “did God find my car keys or change Coke to Pepsi?”) and in the macro (“What cause the Big bang?” “Was it Effect without a Cause somehow?” “What causes the Fundamental Forces to exist?”).

Einstein put it this way: “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

Purpose or Accident (or a combination of both on an imperceptible level)? This is the only real question.

This is another of those “Wedge issues” implanted in the American psyche by people such as Karl Rove. Their purpose is to get people talking about “Creationism vs Evolution” instead of the issues of the day, such as how much the .01% are fucking the rest of us.

So long as dim-witted people fall for this, (and the absolute King of all wedge issues, abortion), we’ll still be stuck in the same shitty shot we find ourselves in today.

I took one philosophy course in college and have done some follow up reading and listening and thinking in the intervening years, searching for the ANSWER. So far, no luck. No one on this planet, living or dead, knows or knew, and anyone who thinks they do does not. As someone once described science as a bunch of theories resting on a platform setting on pilings sunk into the unknown mud below, same goes for why we are here, who are we, where are we, etc.
Life is the supreme mystery and we can either enjoy the ride or not, and… it really is our choice.

hmm I agree DRUD , have you ever read of shrodinger’s cat? The experiment? It is interesting .

Anon , I think you hit the nail on the head! I can ponder many and diverse things but cannot even come close to what actual reality is . The God entity is beyond our comprehension . Free will is involved and I think it is wrote in your heart/soul what you are supposed to do in this life? Violating those premises ,I believe, is what causes the vast majority of issues in this world .
Of course I am just rambling my thoughts , which are of no consequence in the scheme of things lol

Altho looking at the high end of the science of physics it appears to be more of a philosophical nature than a 2+2 = 4 mathematical equation . Whatever ))

Here’s an educated opinion but a blasphemy to many of my fellow Christians. Science explains so much about life and evolution that science makes the 2500 year old Jewish Gen 1 & 2 myths (which evolved from the even more ignorant 3500 year old Sumerian myths) unbelievable (the ancient Jewish myths conflict with science). I believe that most of our youth then carry their disbelief of the OT over to the Gospels and that is one reason so many reject modern Christianity. However, God did create the Universe and Jesus is the Messiah and His Gospel stories are true (minus some Nativity myths). Therefore, both sides are partly right and partly wrong with a fierce uncompromising ideological battle line drawn that clearly separates each side from The Truth. Evolutionist have the science edge but can’t see that the Christian God is real; Creationist know God but refuse to accept that Gen 1 & 2 are false (that would torpedo the whole Bible is the inerrant Word of God doctrine and their whole Christian Faith). Fundamental Christians can tell you all about the unseen Spiritual World but they don’t understand the real world at the tip of their nose and this issue even intrudes on their ability to understand basic science. Science hasn’t proved that the first life evolved nor any religion proved that God doesn’t utilize evolution. I’d like to see my fellow Christians lighten up on evolution as a cuss word and Darwin as the Devil; and then focus on what’s really important: where we wind up after that big trip we all take right after death.

gm- sure, I have heard of Schrodinger’s Cat, but there was no experiment. It is a metaphor, a way to visualize the irrational concept of something existing in two states simultaneously. One cannot know the state until it is observed, but the very act of observing will change the state.

Thanks for bringing up Schrodinger’s Cat…it is a perfect and necessary fit for a piece on epistemology I am thinking about sometime maybe beginning to contemplate working on. 🙂
