Picture me this: Mexico has a lot of American retailers there: Home Depot, Sam’s, and they have all the American fast food there. And they have a gazillion American manufacturers there assembling everything from house electrical, plumbing, automobiles, aircraft and aircraft parts.

I read up on this. The Carrier employees are making $25+ an hour plus bennies. They are unionised. No management wants to deal with a fucking Union.

I swear on my Bible this is true. I was the Shipping Clerk for the ITT Wiremill in Cairo Ga in 1984 when Chicago Hqs decided to move all the equipment to Brownsville, Mexico. I read up on this. The Carrier employees are making $25+ an hour plus bennies. They are unionised. No management wants to deal with a fucking Union.
So the company is paying probably $75k per year for unskilled workers, who likely are about as productive as a fucking one armed chimpanzee owing to their “union” rights, and amazingly the management decide “fuck this, we are moving to Mexico!”
Seriously, Trump cannot stop this. No one can afford to pay unskilled workers those amounts, PLUS carry the fucking bennies mandated by Obamacare, etc.
I was involved in losing down a large Union plant in Indiana years ago. The union caused their demise. I am sure it was responsible this time, too.

El Coyote, I was a trainman before I got drafted. I think Red Ball refers to trucks; trainmen use the term “high ball” for haul ass. Railway track blocks are one mile long and entry is governed by three lights: Red stop, green go, yellow caution. Any kind of “Red Balls” scare the hell out of trainmen. If a train “busts a block”, that is, an axle completes the electric circuit of an approaching block showing a red light, the whole crew is fired (if they survive the head on crash).
