Two of the best movie speeches ever made. Peter Finch as Howard Beale was perfectly cast, as was Ned Beatty as tyrannical Arthur Jensen. They don’t make movies like they used to anymore, or perhaps we don’t have as much talent in the acting industry?

Maybe the movies ain’t as good because the propagandists who want their crap written into the scripts are so dumb and ham-handed nowadays. The AGW meme, for instance, being pushed into scripts is so stupid to start with that all the films it’s laid onto become worse by orders of magnitude.

Hmmm

Beyond the obvious implications of the scenes themselves is something even more disturbing. These scenes are now on average approaching half a century old! Nearly half a century has passed and the situation has now reached the point where the handful of people that control the media and the internet search engines and Congress are now openly dictating the outcome of national elections. And still the American people remain oblivious. The frogs are now all in the pot, the water is boiling and none are trying to get out…………………….

When I studied journalism, I knew a couple of folks interested primarily in screenwriting. During the 1990s, there was a move in Hollywood to force writers into the union for screenwriters. You could sell a script for a television show ONE TIME without joining the screenwriters’ guild. Your second sale required union membership.

I believe that ALL scripts must now come from guild members. Which means the mediocre crap we see on television and movie screens has the union label.
