How stable is the United States?
Things do not look good. The country is disintegrating. The borders are open, against the will of much of the population. Our universities are in sharp decline, the students a rebellious unschooled rabble portending a peasant future. The economy gutters and standards of living fall. Jobs are few and becoming fewer. Racial animosity is high and rising, with blacks out of control and looting at will.
We have that least American of Presidents, a marginally competent Afro-Indonesian confection of Moslem background who doesn’t like whites, has little in common with most of the country and is now a virtual dictator reshaping the country as he chooses. The Talking-Headocracy supports this. The decline will not stop.
Can this last?
The foregoing disasters are forced upon the many who hate it by a corrupt government of self-interested hacks, Northeastern in flavor, intent on outlawing Christianity and controlling the population by ever-tightening surveillance and police powers.
The national anger increases palpably: Islamophobes versus Islamophiles, gun owners versus gun controllers, sexual curiosities versus the traditionally moral, lesbian feminists against men and normal women. Viscerality is high. The contending sides hate each other m more than they care about the issues that provide pretexts.
As one example among many: If white Southerners genitally mutilated their daughters, practiced honor killing, and didn’t allow their girls to go to school, the Islamophiles would erupt in fury. They overlook these practices in Moslems because they are using Moslems as a means of punishing people they loathe , such as white Southerners.
It is hard to see how this can continue without Something Happening. Yet no sign exists that the tide will abate—that standards and discipline will be reimiposed in academe, that grade schools will cease being indoctrination camps, that immigration will be stopped, that blacks will become calm and content, that some new form of economic order will halt the slide into semi-impoverishment.
How could it turn around? “Political correctness” prevents discussion. Saying “nigger” is virtually a capital offense, while beating whites unconscious is a foible. The philosophy mysteriously called Cultural Marxism—very real but hardly Marxist—flourishes, and stultifies.
How can it stop? How will it end? Will the country slide into grey twilight with a few rich living in gated communities while the rest grub for a bare living in decaying and dangerous cities? Or will the solutions usual in such times appeal—civil war, secession, or a Man on a Horse?
I do not see how the rot can go on but neither can I see how it can stop going on. Consider the choices: Secession? Of what? Those favoring white European culture, high academic standards, and respect for law sometimes dream of a breakaway country of the states of the Northwest short of California. Many, sick of domination by New York and Washington, would like to see it, but it is hard to imagine the will to do it. Unlikely.
Civil war? Conditions will have to be much worse, methinks, and fragmentation sharper, before anyone would pick up a rifle. War requires virility, and little of it seems to exist. Unlikely.
Informal secession? “Just Say no”? Various states have chosen simply to ignore federal drug laws, for example, making marijuana legal. There is not much the feds can do short of military invasion. Washington can arrest small numbers of people who smoke dope, but not a hundred thousand, and if the state police refuse to help, the feds lack the manpower to impose their laws. This is the Vietnam Principle: Don’t give the enemy clear targets of high value, disperse your forces, and outwait him.
This solution is possible, but not, I think, likely on a scale grand enough to change the direction of the country.
A Man on a Horse? A dictator who grabs power and rules the country by decree? As so often is the case, only the military has the wherewithal, but it does have it and the grabbing might well prove easy: The Marines are within easy reach of Washington and have the firepower.
Yet the American officer corps traditionally has shown little interest in inserting itself directly into politics, and it has its wars and budget to keep it happy. Especially now, the generals seem much too effete, afraid of feminists and so on. Physically possible, but unlikely.
That leaves gray-sludge-and-twilight. The cultural level will continue to fall as waves of intellectually illiterate graduates pour from the universities. Schools of engineering and science will mostly resist enstupidation–the definite integral will prove an absolute barrier to affirmative action–but liberal studies, the heart of civilization, will remain dead. Hostility and perhaps mini-wars will erupt between Americans and the Somalis, Moslems, and Guatemalans brought in by the DC-NYC axis, but these will probably be inconclusive. Christianity will be reduced to a low level, though Judaism and Islam will flourish as their adherents have the will to prevent suppression.
The economy will continue its slide while the rich, no longer attached to any particular country, will become stupefyingly rich. (Someone recently paid $172 million for a Modigliani). If things go bad in Manhattan, they can easily move to the south of France.
I do not see how civil unrest (it won’t be civil) can fail to arise. Comfortable people, which white Americans still barely are, do not readily clash with others. But comfort dwindles. The young now often have to live with their parents. People with advanced degrees work as baristas at Starbucks. Universities use “adjunct professors,” academic migrant workers, to lower pay and avoid providing benefits. Many companies hire people as “individual contractors,” likewise to avoid paying benefits. Large numbers who want to work are on food stamps and unemployment.
Not parenthetically, I remember being in Italy at breakfast with a tour group. The restaurant had not ordered enough food for the buffet. These sophisticated and civil people began grabbing, reaching over each other, to get the yogurt and doughnuts. Civilization is a veneer, and not a thick one. Nationally, we are running out of doughnuts.
One thing is clear: America is no longer “one nation under God” (who is, I suppose, an undocumented alien).It is an unhappy land of warring tribes, of peoples who have nothing in common and do not like each other. Blacks, whites, browns, Syrians, Somalis, Southerners, Yankees, Christians, mostly detesting each other. The battle lines are drawn. The question is what kind of battle it will be.

Excellent synopsis. I believe the idea of Informal secession would actually work. You would need one or two states with very strong leaders to implement the strategy. Once the idea of disregarding federal decree caught on, I think it would start a wave of converts. I don’t see the Feds invading those states, but certainly the issue would be the Feds withdrawing funds that many states are dependent on.
Where I grew up, people from places like NY, California, Hawaii, and the like were at best thought of as amusing and at the worst as someone who would make a good target for a few rounds. Being ruled by DC elites and California movie-prostitute meddlers is making for a LOT of anger.

I have pondered the decline of Western Civilization for some time and have concluded that it probably cannot be stopped or reversed. Like all civilizations that have gone before, it must die before there can be a rebirth, a bit like a raging forest fire to burn off all the dead wood so that something organic and natural can grow again. And during the coming dark ages, the times will be cruel and hard for most people, particularly those living in concrete jungles or urban ghettos. Self-sustaining communities in more rural areas with most of the necessities of life will fair much better and in fact could thrive locally but will have to be well defended. The era of centralization that supported corrupt, degenerate and parasitic governments sucking the life blood out of the people is over and will be followed by an era of decentralization into racially homogeneous towns, villages and communities who will trade freely among themselves. Globalization is dying or dead and so are all the institutions of globalization including the UN, NATO, WB, IMF, GATA, NAFTA, etc. Also dead and dying are modern liberalism, socialism, feminism, perverse sexualism, and all the debased doctrines that have contributed to the fall of Western Civilization.
The entire system is based on the principle of the people as a whole cooperating and complying with it, and with the States aiding in encouraging that voluntary compliance with their own forms of local soft coercion.
That is something that may change in the near future.

The Russians mouthpieces are stating that we will be in full revolution mode after the election. At this point I have no reason to doubt them. The only thing I would add is that it looks to me like more of a SUPER shitstorm of civil war and revolution wrapped up in one.

There are over 100,000 Somali’s in Minnesota. 50,000 in Minneapolis alone (we have 400,000 people) so – Minneapolis is 1/8 – 12.5% Somali.
These people (and their extended families – like grandparents – who will never do a lick of work) live off of many, many entitlements.
They stink, they’re rude, they don’t assimilate, many have shit for brains.
But if you read the Minneapolis Star newspaper – these folks are the greatest people on earth. All other opinions are suppressed, completely suppressed. Same for the local TV stations.
When kids grow up in this environment of propaganda and lies – you get sheep.

The future is, I believe, a resumption of the battle between open hierarchy (aristocracy) and occult hierarchy (equality, represented by democracy/blank-slate/magic-dirt.) This was the animating battle of the English Civil War, which was won by the predecessors of our Progressivist Theocratic Cult.
The Cult has pushed us beyond the brink of sanity with trannies-in-girls-locker-rooms and normalizing patently psychotic behaviors.
They’ve seen their peak. Time for the other team to take the field.
For clarity, hierarchy always exists; when two or more people are considered, there is always a perfect hierarchy in objective and subjective measures. We are NOT equal.
Some are taller, some are shorter
Some have broader shoulders than others.
Physical strength differs.
Athleticism differs.
Intelligence (as measured by IQ tests) differs.
Other non-measurable aptitudes (e.g., common sense, drive, artistic creativity) differ.
Sociopathy and propensity to harm others (for personal gain or entertainment) differ.
In political systems we either recognize these differences and promote rules that yield better rulers (aristocracy) or we pretend these differences don’t exist or don’t matter (democracy.)
Under democracy these differences still exist. The rules, however, favor the best liars, the most effective sociopaths and the most facile demagogues. The rules favor “get rich quick,” step-up/kick-down, behave-like-a-renter,not-an-owner behavior.
Under democracy, hierarchy is hidden and political scheming highly amplified.
I prefer it to be open, above-board and exist where citizens jealously guard their own prerogatives against the rulers instead of where it is hidden and citizens scheme to obtain power so they can rob, rape and pillage their political faction competitors under color of law.
News story on the squawk box this AM about a poor little flower waiting tables who got a nasty tip. No cash but a note on the bill that says you get no tip because you don’t look normal. The story is accompanied by a picture of the flower with hot pink hair, makeup and more gadgets hanging out of her face than I could count.
The reporters were quite sympathetic and were attempting to shame the person who had done the note writing. I predict that people are so sick of this sanctimonious attitude that all such stories will do is spark more people to join in and take sides. I told my wife I might do the same the next time I am served by such a person. Not because I give a rats ass about what stupid people do to their bodies but because I am sick and tired of being TOLD I have to embrace/accept it as normal.
Deviance has become a religion and like any other I despise having it rammed down my throat.

So, I have decided to retreat. To downgrade my lifestyle and
be grateful for a quiet life. Perhaps I may be of service to my
family and my neighbors when harder times arrive. I don’t
believe my luck in achieving this goal, thus far, unscathed.
Modern technologies (complexities) allow for a type of collapse that is entirely unprecedented…a systemic failure in a keystone industry. Transportation, Banking, Electric Grid, Satellite Communications, Just-In-Time Logistics, Medicine, Government, Economies of Scale, Infrastructure etc. The way complex systems collapse is through positive feedback loops (downward spirals) in one or more of these keystone industries. None of these things happen overnight, but they tend to accelerate. The fastest paths are either through EMP or other gird down scenario (CME, cyber attack, etc) or pandemic. In the case of pandemic, it need not be infectious or deadly as fear quickly becomes the true infectious disease.
I watched this video depicting a pandemic scenario. It misses on a few points, to be sure, but it also raises some points that I had never considered. Interesting and more than a little terrifying. Production quality was pretty good (it was for History channel) and the experts know their stuff, including Joseph Tainter, who wrote “The Collapse of Complex Societies”—a very good read.

Few people ever ask themselves “Where am I bugging out to and how will I survive once I get there?”
In our region these guys abound. Especially in the larger urban centres. None of them would last three of the winter months in the mountains. Lots of water but no food. Only deer which are difficult to hunt in this part of the world (it requires a lot of calories expended to acquire here – and since fuel will be scarce you won’t be road hunting endlessly) and won’t sustain you nutritionally. You could supplement with small game I suppose but unlikely you would feed a family on it. Nutritionally most would simply die anyways because the focus by most preppers I know is on _equipment_ and not on actuall bush craft. Moreover, it’s pretty difficult to forage in 6 feet of snow. Lower elevations would be crowded by other survivalists and would be dangerous to say the least.
Additionally, people in small communities would not welcome these types. Ours is a smallish city and isolated somewhat from the rest of the population. A team of a few cops (if there is no law and order some of these guys you might suddenly find to be allies), some local rednecks and a couple of soldiers could blockade the entire region simply by putting up a few road blocks as there are few options in terms of routes for bugging out to begin with.
You are better to have a plan and a community to work with to shelter in place. Shoot anyone who loots or gets aggressive. Keep it simple. In time the cities will burn and eat themselves alive outside of those who were prepared there. If you can survive the original die out of such a scenario – say the first 6 months – then you will be able to rebuild and restore order. Running to the country – imho – is a death sentence for most.

A good post. It’s true about the different groups that despise each other. Southern white are about the best armed group in the world. Think about just how many people that is, the largest potential army in the world. Most of us just want to be left alone and aren’t going to go out looking for trouble, but those living on cities will have some interesting times, to say the least.
Think about the ‘feel good story’ from yesterday. The cousin of that dead guy basically trying to justify his actions because he needs to “get his money for cloths for school”. Now picture those same people who already can’t take care of themselves without stealing other people’s property in normal times. They will justify in their own minds any manner of savagery to get your food or anything else they want. “How am I supposed to feed my family” will be said instead. You want to see what they look like, go to a Walmart on the first of the month.

Sure is a hell of a time to be raising a child. Speaking of which, if any of you have kids that are still growing, make sure that you have a few years worth of serviceable clothing laid by for them, including winter boots, raingear, winter coats,other shoes, etc. We grownups tend to neglect this aspect because our own gear lasts years for us. We forget how fast kidlets grow, and how hard it may be to get what they’ll need if TSHTF (or even in periods of rampant inflation). Besides, it is practical, you can buy stuff in advance on sale or at thrift stores and avoid paying full price when they inevitably need to wear the items, crisis or not. Win win.
Hang onto outgrown kids gear too, it might end up being worth its weight in gold for trade.

I don’t know what it will take to get white people willing to secede from this union. I don’t think northern people would have the stomach for another civil war. Different kind of people dont ALL hate each other. The main fault line is between conservative and liberal, with a lot of other cultures getting their conservative values destroyed by western influence. A lot of people immigrate for better opportunity and wish they hadnt when their daughters start screwing around and sons start drinking etc, and they wish they stayed in the old country. On top of that we send our progressive values to them too. Yeah we will give u poor countries some scholarships but only for the girls and theres no foreign aid to rebuild the place unless we see more women politicians etc.
If there was a place free of all the PC disaster you would have a lot of working inmigranta not the layabouts leading the way. We dont all hate each other just we have prejudices. Thats pre judging. Fine you have some expectations of how people might be based on what u experienced or heard about their kind. After that you judge him or her based on your experience with them, that particular person. There are cultures and sub cultures too that affect all that. Youve got a post by a guy called Nassim Taleb, a muslim name at the top of the page for about a week already with 150 odd comments, thats taking people as they come and putting the prejudice aside long enough for someone to prove themself. Thats all anyone needs to be treated equal, not telling you to check your privilege and checking it for you.

I wonder how WWII would have gone had the US been divided up into the hostile factions you seem to long for.
Diversity is only a strength when we are talking about a team. A team of engineers designing a facility must be diverse such as structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, along with project managers, and administrators etc etc.
Diversity of race, and religion in a society is a toxic brew and always has been. One needs only look across the globe and witness homogeneous societies that have existed for thousands of years. Strangers may have come in and been accepted but at some point they are rejected and killed off.
Diversity is merely at tool used by the elite to keep power and stifle the citizens. By indoctrinating the children and labeling anyone resisting as racist or bigoted they systemically pillage the society. So when you hear a politician or media hack stating it, they are telling the truth, diversity is their strength and power over us.
This society is on the brink of rejecting and killing the strangers as they are relentlessly pushing their beliefs on the majority. I think it obvious who the victors are but not so obvious of the overall damage.
