As time goes on, I understand all the conflicts we are experiencing are rooted in the national vs. global mindset. Both the elite and the unwashed masses understand it: the elite view a global
economic/political system as their ticket to increased power and wealth, while the rest of us understand we are getting set up to get even more screwed than we already are (thus the Trump phenomenon). Teddy sounds very strange to our ears – a world leader claiming the supremacy of his nation and its culture over the ideologies of strangers who come in.
TR would have people running to their safe spaces today. He’d probably get a tombstone in Central Park.

Or you could just be likely to vote Democrat, then you get in and get free stuff. The eventual destruction of the country is nothing compared to present political power and corruption for the rulers.
