Should be “if” instead of “when”.

I’m expecting Hillary to win.

Yes, but after the tunnels are flooded.

“The wall” is the talking point. The real issue is that right now the US gov is actively promoting illegal immigration and we need to elect representatives that will stop that policy.

Stop offering free shit
Allow ICE to do their job
Prosecute foreign criminals
Deport foreigners without valid visas
Stop the drug war and treat us like adults

Suddenly a wall becomes unnecessary

Meso…stop the drug war. You know anymore good jokes.

Oh, I got one for you: stop the war on poverty (cuz it keeps increasing).

or a real one: stop the petro-dollar regime change wars.

Yes, absolutely. If not he’s a one term president (assuming he wants a second and assuming things don’t completely fall apart). I hope they pour the concrete footers as deep as the wall is high. And Mexico is going to “pay for” it by Trump reducing our trade deficit with them. This is one of the very few government projects I can get behind.

Kokoda,
Based on the gov’s track record, I hope they declare war on low taxes next.

Admin, there was an article on ZH today about Trump and Hitlery both having a tax haven in the same building in Delaware along with close to 300,000 other companies evading taxes while we all pay through the nose. Oh nice…………..

Hmm…if Trump is elected…I think so unless he decides to use the military to patrol the borders .

If the Hilldibeast is elected…yes…but the wall will be around Bill to keep him away from the interns .

He BETTER built it, whether he gets Mexico to pay for it or not…and it better be just as good or better than this one that Israel built, including the armed guards.

Bea,

Unless something illegal was/is being done, using the tax laws as written to minimize your taxes is not “evading” them it is avoiding them.

Tax evasion is cheating to make it look like you owe no taxes by under declaring or hiding income from the taxing authorities or taking illegal deductions to make your income look less than it is, not using tax laws to minimize what you have to pay.

Something I’m betting you do every time you file taxes and take any or all deductions that are available to you.

Delaware offers many tax advantages to corporations incorporating there, and yo too can be a Delaware corporation if you want to comply with the requirements of both being a corporation and being incorporated in Delaware.

If they made being an illegal alien punishable with 10 years hard labor, and arrested/prosecuted/convicted/sentenced all the illegal aliens, Mexico literally could be building the wall.

Talk is cheap. a fifty foot wall cost me and my neighbor $1400. It is only 6′ tall. My wild ass guess is $10 Billion for a cheap ass 6 foot wall. 3 times that height might be $30 Bil. If your counting on the folks who brought you Katrina, it may be 3 times that.

The Israeli wall is not impermeable, the Arabs invented the tunnels Mexican narcos use.

Who gives a shit if the Iska wall is cost-effective? We already expend million dollar missiles to kill two or three Arabs at a time.

My mom had a way of emphasizing the wrong-headedness of our choices. When we start to feel the pinch, she will say, Hungry?, eat some wall then.

Construction will start in June 2017 and come to a standstill by December. Lawsuits and cost overruns will combine to devour the project. It will be a festering sore for the rest of his one term.

An endangered cricket or some such tripe shall be found to have its reproductive habits impinged upon by said wall. After much greenie rancor, no wall shall be built. So sayeth the lord. So say I.

Don’t need a wall. Enforce the existing laws against hiring illegals.

Cut off benefits to all who are not citizens or “green-carders”, or not legally in-country.

If you want less of something, don’t subsidize it.

If Trump is elected and is not taken out Kennedy-style, he WILL build the wall. He’s staked his reputation on it.

In response to Mesomorphe, who said this: ““The wall” is the talking point. The real issue is that right now the US gov is actively promoting illegal immigration and we need to elect representatives that will stop that policy: Stop offering free shit, Allow ICE to do their job, Prosecute foreign criminals, Deport foreigners without valid visas, Stop the drug war and treat us like adults. All excellent points, and all this needs to happen. But the wall MUST still be built, and here’s why: Sooner or later, some American-hating idiot will be elected as president again. Without a wall, that idiotic president would be free to do exactly what Obama does, which is leave the border wide open and let every third-world free-shit seeker line up to suck on the ever-shrinking boob of American tax-payers.

The nice thing about Trump’s wall is that it would outlast his presidency.

I have doubts about the deporter in chief’s motives. A more nefarious purpose would be to flush out the illegals with a promise to suspend deportations temporarily and get them to out themselves for a future mass deportation program. A tiger doesn’t change his spots and spot in chief hasn’t really changed, he still wants to deport as many of us beaners as he can get a holt of.

This isn’t the middle ages where you need a wall to keep invading forces out. I’m hoping Trump was just using a physical wall as an analogy to stir people up. There are easier ways. They are coming here for two main reasons; jobs and free shit. Fine the living crap out of any business who hires one, then make it all but impossible for them to receive any type of government assistance. The problem will solve itself.

If elected, I expect he’ll be JFK’d before it’s built. Let’s hope not. We can’t afford another coup d’etat.
