Why do I need government permission to get married? Why do I need government permission to build a shed in my backyard? Why do I need government permission to leave the country? Why do I need government permission to buy a gun? Why do I need government permission to drive?

1. Money
2. Control

The End.

Liberal progressives would say to keep us safe, and to keep the greedy business person from taking advantage of the ignorant consumer.

Free thinkers will just look at you funny, because if we have to explain it, you’ll probably never understand.

This is the question that I asked myself right before deciding to not open up a business and provide jobs and services to my community.

I came to the same conclusion as KenStuckys’ response and just said ‘Fuck it, retirement is better.’

Non-regulated business DOES NOT need permission to open from .gov.

I never asked for permission to open a business, I have explained this before. I pay for a business license each year, never paid until I filed a tax return and the municipality figured out they could do a shake-down on me.

Restaurants etc. have to have the okie-dokie from the health department/government which is understandable.

Excepting businesses such as GOOGLE, FACEBOOK, et,al what sane person would start any sort of business today ? The permitting, insurance, regulations, rules, bi-laws, taxes, on and on make it a burden that stacks the odds against you. In EVERY corner there is a regulating authority or insurance company there to grab any money it can from you. You end up running faster and faster just to remain in the same place. Not to mention the added joy of dealing with employees – wow ! Work’n man don’t stand a chance

The very idea that the government is of the people, by the people and for the people seems so quaint. Just try that line on the average bureaucrat or politician, and watch their sputtering reaction.

Bea sez……..” I never asked for permission to open a business, I have explained this before. I pay for a business license each year,……”

So correct me if I am wrong; To pay for a permission slip from dot guv is to NOT ask for permission to run a business??? Clear as mud, Bea.

TG- Technically a business license is a permission slip, yes.

My business license is only $75 dollars per year. Big fukkin deal, would that really keep any of you from operating a business?

No, not really. The onerous regulations and Odildocare keep me from doing that.

Bea Lever says:

Then: “Restaurants etc. have to have the okie-dokie from the health department/government which is understandable.”

I like to know that restaurants are inspected for cleanliness, I think that is in our best interest. Do you own a business? Doubt it.

TG- Just as I thought, those who don’t run businesses have a lot of opinions about running one.

IF you can find a type of business in todays world that DOES NOT require a lot of employees or over regulation by the state, I would say give it a chance. I come from a family of varied business owners and my children are business owners and make a very NICE income. According to you we should work for the man and settle for AVERAGE incomes. WHY?

Until you are experienced in business ownership, don’t believe everything you read, mkaaaay.

Wow, I DO NOT work/slave for any man. How you put words into my mouth is amazing, to say the least. I have owned businesses and got out because of dot guv intrusion and thus, have no plans to return to the biz world.

ASSumptions. Making them out of thin. Superduper.

Why do I need permission? Because I was dumb enough to let them think I need to ask for it.

TG- If business was that oppressive for you then maybe you were in the wrong type of business.

So, I see you are collecting your SS which means someone else is slaving for the man just as you once did. 🙂

Wow, another ASSumption based on zero facts.

I collect zero checks from dot gov, but thanks for trying to paint me with the freeshitter brush.

TG- Independently wealthy, even better. You can actually afford to go into business. 🙂

OBTW, collecting on your SS that you paid into for a lifetime is not considered freeshitter income even though the gooberment now classifies it as an “entitlement” program. Ain’t that some shit?

Yet another hilarious post.

@Sturky:
Why do I need government permission to get married? So you don’t marry your sister (too late for you?)

Why do I need government permission to build a shed in my backyard? So you don’t piss off your neighbor (we have things called laws…..)

Why do I need government permission to leave the country? You don’t. Leave anytime. You just need a passport, but for you they would make an exception.

Why do I need government permission to buy a gun? You don’t. Go to a gun show. No questions asked. Duh.

Why do I need government permission to drive? So people don’t get killed. Duh again.

@Bea,
“I like to know that restaurants are inspected for cleanliness, I think that is in our best interest.”
Our “best interest”, worship of the collective state, what’s this “we” shit?
So, I pose a question to you. Have you ever enjoyed fresh caught fish from say: the ocean, or any other source? Have you had venison or perhaps wild bore? Have you ever had fresh vegetables from a home garden? Were they inspected? Were any of those foods USDA approved? How about your momma’s teat milk? I surely hope they were inspected for cleanliness. Please, oh please Mr. dot gov., I hope this Vermont maple syrup is safe.
Thanks for the F-U. Karma’s a bitch.

Don’t you children get it ? Obviously not.Why do we need laws and regulations ? Because people like you are evil ,wicked and depraved therefore you need to be controlled. Just look at the black community for proof. Most of you are only 3 meals away from eating each other.

“Permission” is a ruse. Of course they will give you permission, they just want to make sure you’re registered in all the right ways so they can extract maximum graft………I mean patriotic taxes & fees from you because as good ‘Muricans “we all have to do our part”.

Bea, do you have a dopple today?

You are ok with paying for a business license (aka: permission from the goobermint) because it’s only $75 and no big deal? My business license is only $50 but with it comes shit tons of paperwork, confiscatory taxes on everything but my underwear, and all manner of control/tax/fee nonsense. I operated without for several years; the SOLE reason I finally got one was to have the ability to buy supplies and materials wholesale. My motto is: stupid rules/laws are meant to be broken.

And, when I think of goobermint keeping us safe, I can’t help but think of the FDA and the Vioxx fiasco, or the USDA food inspections being so terrific, we never have incidents of listeria, e-coli, and so on. Or how about this: Flint, Michigan’s lead-based water supply.

I’m also absolutely certain that no restaurant owner ever greased the palms of an inspector to get that A+ rating, nor would any inspector stoop so low as to accept such a bribe.
