Missouri has relatively liberal gun laws. I haven’t seen a shooting story in the St.L Post Dispatch for days. All those conceal carry people must be holding down the murder rate. Possibly because there were so many drug gang murders last year here are fewer gangstas to commit murder. Most likely, the Post Dispatch is just choosing not to report the news like Facebook and other good liberal liars.

Want to end political crimes, Cultural Communism and Crony Capitalism: vote against the Democrat and Republican “mafia”. Want to end the NYC Financial Crime Syndicate: cut off their head and source of Counterfeit Money the Federal Reserve; want to return Justice to America: elect honest Conservative Christians to office who will appoint good Judges. From what I have noticed about school vouchers, the kneegrows are getting them to attend the pricey private schools and once they have a sizable presence the whites bail to another school. At least that is what is going on in Georgia.
Chicago is coming along nicely with the whole gun-free thingy. They would kill each other with ice picks like the old days if you really limited guns.

Bea Lever, most Private Schools oppose vouchers for that reason. If the private school has high academic standards, the negatives of Black Culture might be manageable. Jeb Bush et all support vouchers for minorities but that is just more reverse discrimination to me. The DoD did a study way back when I was there (about 1980) and found that requests for transfers skyrocket when Blacks got to 30% of a unit.

overthecliff, the murder rate in St Louis is TWICE per 100,000 the number in Chicago, and always has been.
Chicago may lead in sheer numbers, but it’s murder RATE per 100,000 is much lower than that of St Louis, Milwaukee, Birmingham, Atlanta, Memphis, Newark, and Anchorage. It is slightly lower than Miami.
St Louis used to have strict gun laws and now has none, and it doesn’t seem to make any diff whatsoever- the place was a violence plagued cesspool from 1960 forward, while here in Chicago, you are safe is you stay out of the far south or west sides.
Demographics explain everything.

Of course, there are numerous restrictions on it, and any place of business can display a “No Firearms” sign that has force of law.

St. Louis leads in violent crime per capita. And murder per capita is higher. But this is where the statistics begin to get hazy. ( I wonder why) You see, gun related murders is a different story. As is the number of mass shootings. Chicago and LA apparently are the place to be if you are looking to be murdered with a gun. There are today, specific parts of Chicago that are relatively speaking, free fire zones. I will qualify this by saying it all depends on who’s statistics you are using: As such, your results may vary.
Yet another key statistic that you won’t hear from anti-gunners: about 3/5’s of all gun related deaths in America each year are suicides. Law enforcement kills somewhere between 700 and 2000. The government claims it doesn’t know exactly because there is not Federal requirement mandating individual states keep those statistics.Then there are the accidental deaths by firearm. You get the idea here. Essentially 2/3’s of the “gun” related deaths in American each year are not homicides. To put that into perspective: about the same number of people are murdered in the US by guns in a year as are killed in a week by cigarettes……….

Tragically, the rise in suicide rates is primarily due to returning veterans from the Middle East who are committing suicide with guns in alarming numbers. (nearly 100,000 since 2002). A war which at least on one level, is being waged to “protect our freedoms” Because these very same people are the most ardent opponents of our freedoms expressed in the Bill of Rights.
However, what really riles the anti-gun crowd is that deep down in their hearts they know that their objections, biases and often outright hatred of guns doesn’t matter a damn in the final analysis. And if you take the time to read some of the anti-gun, anti-2nd amendment rhetoric that is constantly spewing forth from “our” media, the one thing you will never, ever see in print, or hear uttered by these twisted souls is the reason why; That pesky 2nd Amendment…………..

Because of the unique St. Louis political divisions demographics have been really bad in StL for 50 years. You would be pretty safe here if you stayed out of the city and North County . Wildwood or Chesterfield no problem.
