FUNNIEST BLS REPORT EVER

Only a captured government drone could put out a report showing only 38,000 new jobs created, with the working age population rising by 205,000, and have the balls to report the unemployment rate plunged from 5.0% to 4.7%, the lowest since August 2007. If you ever needed proof these worthless bureaucrats are nothing more than propaganda peddlers for the establishment, this report is it. The two previous months were revised significantly downward in the fine print of the press release.

It is absolutely mind boggling that these government pond scum hacks can get away with reporting that 484,000 people who WERE unemployed last month are no longer unemployed this month. Life is so fucking good in this country, they all just decided to kick back and leave the labor force. Maybe they all won the Powerball lottery. How many people do you know who can afford to just leave the workforce and live off their vast savings?

In addition, 180,000 more Americans left the workforce, bringing the total to a record 94.7 million Americans not in the labor force. The corporate MSM will roll out the usual “experts” to blather about the retirement of Baby Boomers as the false narrative to deflect blame from Obama and his minions. The absolute absurdity of the data heaped upon the ignorant masses is clearly evident in the data over the last three months. Here is government idiocracy at its finest:

Number of working age Americans added since March – 406,000

Number of employed Americans since March – NEGATIVE 290,000

Number of Americans who have supposedly voluntarily left the workforce – 1,226,000

Unemployment rate – FELL from 5.0% to 4.7%

Talk about perpetrating the BIG LIE. Goebbels and Bernays are smiling up from the fires of hell as their acolytes of propaganda have kicked it into hyper-drive. We only need the other 7.4 million “officially” unemployed Americans to leave the work force and we’ll have 0% unemployment. At the current pace we should be there by election time. I wonder if Cramer, Liesman, or any of the other CNBC mouthpieces for the establishment will point out that not one single full-time job has been added in 2016. There were 6,000 less full-time jobs in May than in January, while there are 572,000 more low paying, no benefits, part-time Obama service jobs. Sounds like a recovery to me.

It gets even better. The birth death excel spreadsheet “adjustment” added 224,000 phantom jobs into the May calculation. The lies – they burn. We know for a fact more businesses are closing than opening since the 2008 financial crisis. This model assumes more openings than closings. IT’S ADJUSTMENT IS DEAD WRONG. In reality, jobs should be subtracted from the total. It added 231,000 phantom jobs in April too. The jobs numbers are much worse than the bad numbers being reported.

When you see lies, misinformation and deceitfulness at this level, you have to ask yourself whether this entire debt supported house of cards is about to fall. The smell of desperation is in the air. The MSM stories about a booming economy are rolled out on a daily basis. Meanwhile, the average family is being crushed by Obamacare, rising rents, rising food costs, and no interest on any savings they might have left.

It also seems awfully suspicious that within seconds of the awful report, the faux journalists immediate reaction was NO FED RATE HIKE in June or July. These pundits of propaganda want the ignorant masses to think a .25% increase in interest rates actually matters to the economy or the average person. We’ve had ZIRP for almost seven years and the economy blows. Rates have been at emergency levels as the establishment has flogged the economic recovery story to death. There has been no recovery for the average person. The recovery has been for Wall Street and the sycophants who suck off their teat.

Obama has been on his self congratulatory tour exclaiming how fucking awesome the economy has been under his reign of error. The Bush presidency was most certainly a fiscal disaster, but Obama’s tenure was even worse. The numbers don’t lie, but Obama does.

Look at that stupendous record of success. Obama should be as proud as punch. Since the unemployment rate is now back to 2007 levels, before the Federal Reserve/Wall Street/Washington DC created financial implosion, let’s take a look at the Obama success story:

  • The workforce has grown by 21 million people, while the number of employed has grown by a whopping 5 million.
  • The labor participation rates has plunged from 66.0% to 62.6%, the lowest since the 1970s.
  • The number of Americans who have left the work force because their lives are so fulfilled is 16 million. I’m sure there is no correlation to food stamps or SSDI enrollment.
  • The Boomer retirement narrative is proven false by the fact that a record percentage of Americans over the age of 65 are working in order to avoid starvation and homelessness.
  • Of the 5 million jobs added since 2007, only 2 million of them were full-time.
  • Obama’s success in destroying the mining industry is borne out in the 207,000 jobs destroyed in the last two years.
  • The percentage of men aged 25 to 54 (prime working years) not working is at an all-time high.
  • Real median household income (using the fake understated CPI) is still 1.3% LOWER today than it was in 2007.
  • Wages continue to stagnate in the 2.3% range, while real inflation for real people in the real world exceeds 5%.

It doesn’t matter how much propaganda the establishment peddles, average families who aren’t beholden to the establishment for their living, know how bad the things have gotten. They have been getting increasingly pissed off. The rising tide of support for Trump and Sanders is a reaction to the lies, misinformation, mismanagement, corruption, and lawlessness of the establishment. The people know they have been screwed. The complex web which makes up the establishment control makes it difficult for the average person to discern who exactly has screwed them, but they know a screw when they feel it.

As this summer progresses and the economy continues to sink, the anger will continue to build. The violence has already begun, as paid thugs are bused in to create havoc at every Trump rally. The establishment fears the unknown. They need to control the agenda. Trump scares them. The economy is clearly in recession for the average family. The stock, bond, and real estate markets are the most overvalued in history. A crash in any or all of these markets would unleash mayhem. The next five months could alter the future course of this country. Stay tuned.

I know of at least 3 firms who have laid off 1,000 – 10,000 workers in the past couple of weeks. Unemployment is growing, not shrinking.

I think you have the word establishment confused. The establishment are the oligopic transnational corporations that buy off us and our democracy, not some pathetic slob at the BLS waiting for his pension to be stolen by the same financial parasites and whose president is part of the same private establishment.

Most everything that comes out of the HNIC mouth is a lie: You can keep your doctor, the average family will save $2,500 with the ACA, the unemployment rate keeps dropping, the economy is going great, massive illegal immigration is good, the list goes on and on.

The HNIC should go to prison for lying to the American people.

We all know a collapse is coming. The solution will be to bypass giving money to banks and hoping they’ll lend it out, to simply giving everyone a debit card with a couple of grand per month put into it. The money expires if you don’t spend it. Banks get paid for administering the program.

What we really need is term limits and a balanced budget amendment.

Greetings,

This really is a very strange thing. I live in SoCal and I can tell you that where I live there are help wanted signs in at least half of the windows of the retail shops. Here, we have jobs but no one to fill them and it presents a very distorted view of what is going on.

Housing has become so expensive that “micro” apartments – apartments without kitchens that are less than 200sqft are renting from $1500 – $2000 a month. That means that you need to pound at least $24000 a year into a “home” that is just big enough for a bed and maybe a chair. Someone that is earning $10-$12 per hour at their under 30 hours a week retail job can not afford to rent a tiny micro apartment.

Consequently, the mom & pop businesses are starving for workers in places like Santa Barbara & Santa Monica but the cost of living is such that these businesses can not afford to pay someone even the minimum amount needed to cover rent let alone a car, food or some entertainment.

Finally, I can not help but wonder how long all of this can continue. The homeless are everywhere here – on every corner and every intersection. I see them sleeping on the boardwalk and at night the sidewalks in our downtown area are full of the homeless sleeping in the doorways of shops that have help wanted signs in the window. It is as if everyone has gone mad.

You live in SB? Yeah I see them here in Goleta as well, lots of help wanted signs out on the Mom and Pop retail/services shops and restaurants, but no workers applying. Cost of living is so much that even if you are a high income middle class worker, it can easily eats off half of your income. My neighbour earns more than I do and he can’t even afford a car right now. Shit is off the hook, we don’t live in a normal world for sure right now.

Anyone wanna take any bets on when the fed starts some kind of QE program again? Or helicopter money? I personally think we are going the way of the Japanese. No massive collapse(although it’s certainly possible) just a long slow decline in the average persons standard of living. I think the Japanese will be the first to unleash true helicopter money, so called ‘QE for the people’ but it will come to the US eventually too.

I still think every single thing possible will be done to stave off a big market decline until after the election. Establishment hacks like Clinton wouldn’t stand a chance, and neither would a joe Biden substitution.

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/bank-of-america-gets-half-off-its-justice-dept.-settlement/article/2592705

Bank of America gets half off its Justice Dept. settlement

Bank of America has been able to reduce a multi-billion dollar mortgage fraud penalty imposed by the Justice Department by giving millions of dollars to liberal groups approved by the Obama administration.

The bank has wiped about $194 million off its record $16.6 billion 2014 mortgage settlement by donating to nonprofits and legal groups. Thanks to little-known provisions in the settlement, the bank only had to make $84 million in donations to do that.

The bank wasn’t exploiting any loophole. It’s a key part of the deal the Justice Department offered to get it to settle in the first place. For every dollar the bank has given the nonprofits — none of which were victims of fraud themselves — it has claimed at least two dollars off the settlement. The deal ensured the Obama administration that a certain part of the settlement funds would go to friendly liberal groups, bypassing the normal congressional appropriations.

Among the groups receiving the money were Hispanic civil rights group the National Council of La Raza ($1.5 million), the National Urban League ($1.1 million) and the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America ($750,000).

@Gator? “true helicopter money?” as in literally tossing money out on us flyover country hicks and destroying our crops?

Not a coincidence that these reports get released on Friday. I’m sure that policy wonks figure that by Monday everyone will forget. Then it’s back to the Jim Cramer Gong Show.

And if that doesn’t work then it’s on to plan B with a Trump rally protest or a heroic SJW standing up for oppressed bathroom people somewhere. We are fucked and most don’t even care! I sometimes think there isn’t any point worrying about it. I suppose as long as someone passes the remote, a beer and a bag of chips I should be good as long as I can still watch baseball on the TV. I find it hard to not give up and just joining the throngs buying shit on credit doing my part to QE our way out of this hole we are in. It seems like a losing strategy when credit is so easy to get. But at some point the dance will stop and tide will go out. We will find out then who has their pants on.

It’s funny I have been following this blog for a long time lurking for many years. Finally took on the Moniker in part to emulate Stucky who at the time was Stuck in NJ. Yeah that wasn’t yesterday. Anyways seems like forever since I started on my journey of educating myself about what is really going on. Here we are 2016. Still Stuck, sorta speak. The lying and deflection more and more obvious with each passing month. How long can this go on. Who knows. I am amazed at how the plates keep spinning.

I feel really bad, maybe even a bit guilty, for my children. They are just starting out in life in real world. Month after month these reports come out. Shit stacked on shit. At some point the bread will get buttered and the sandwich will be served.

Sad part is that the ones who don’t give a shit, the one’s that buy now and pay for it later are just going to throw up their hands and turn to the prudent ones. People like me. Seeing as they are the majority and we live in a democracy they will get their fucking way. Will it happen this year. Likely not. But math and power of exponents tells me, at least, that some day soon it will.

If you want socialism go to Venezuela. Oh and bring food and toilet paper – they seem to be running low on both these days. BTW did you know Chavez was a billionaire? One wonders what Maduro the bus driver’s net worth is these days. He certainly looks like he’s eating well – even if his countrymen are having a bit of trouble with the food thing. But every cloud has a silver lining – after all the food shortage is helping with the toilet paper shortage.

Or you can stay here and vote for BSanders. Like all socialists/Marxists he will certainly eliminate the wealth problem. BTW Socialism/Marxism has given the world Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, the Kim Family, the Castro bro, Chavez, Maduro, etc. etc. etc. and well over a hundred million dead. What do they call doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results? Oh – I remember – “progressive”!

The dangerous aftermath of those Trump rallies appear to be increasing. Last night’s one in San Jose is plastered all over Drudge today.

What I don’t understand is why Trump’s security folks aren’t watching out more for the safety of those attending in support of him. There was some police presence last night but they were inept and let a lot of bad shit happen, unlike earlier in the week at his rally at another CA location, where there was overwhelming police from multiple jurisdictions who handled the crowd efficiently whereby the opposing groups didn’t have much chance to intermingle.

And that asshat San Jose mayor (demoshit, of course) had the nerve to blame Trump for the violence.

I feel your pain ROB IN NOVA SCOTIA !

I look at my two adult daughters and my grand children and I know that they are totally fucked in today’s USA. The ‘jobs numbers’ are total BULLSHIT. The quoted unemployment rate of 5% (now miraculously 4.7%) is something that will be spread across the TV ‘s of america and make all of the decent previously hard working people wonder why, if the unemployment rate is so low – WHY CAN’T I FIND A FUCKING JOB ? The resultant despair, depression, suicides, etc will never make the news.

I know that I’m beating a dead horse here – BUT, I can’t tell you folks on TBP how many middle aged men (and a few women) that I met during my almost five years living in Dimock, PA. that had been SHIT CANNED from some section of corporate america and turned to the natural gas fracking industry of N.E. Pennsylvania to earn enough money to ‘float the boat’ – IE: keep the mortgage paid, keep the kid in college, boost up the blown out 401K, and on and on. Many of us were living far away from our families. And just when the hard work and insane working hours were starting to pay off – KA BOOM – Bust goes the fracking boom and thousands of us got the boot.

There are no industries in the good ole USA that I can see which are capable of employing millions of former high paid people. There is a gut wrenching despair going on in this country. The sooner collapse happens, the sooner the RESET begins.

I’m here on Cape Cod helping my brother install audio / video systems in millionaires summer houses – the second in command @ McKesson Pharmaceuticals, a man that sells replacement hip and knee parts, the CFO for Amazon.com. These people are living in a world totally seperate from the world that we inhabit. They are dropping INSANE amounts of money on their multi million dollar properties. For these presently rich people they are partying like it’s 1929 / 1999.

My only hope as I struggle to get along in this world with ever diminishing prospects as I age is that the US Dollar blows out like Wiemar Germany’s fiat or Zimbabwe, or present day Venezuela, and these obscenely ‘presently rich’ assholes find that on one certain morning they awaken only to find that there entire net worth will at best buy a few meals to feed their starving children.

I mu gut I know something wicked comes this way. For a glimpse of what our future might be, look to today’s Venezuela

SKINBAG, you don’t get it. The obscenely rich know what’s coming and already have their bug out plans in place. They have already purchased a compound somewhere relatively safe and have it staffed and provisioned. They have already converted a significant portion of their wealth to relatively safe “investments” that will more or less hold their value: Alternate currencies; international corporations; commodities; etc. and to some investments that will likely explode in value when the shit hits the fan (I’d like to know what these investments are, but I probably couldn’t afford the minimum to get in anyway). They’re just throwing around the leftover $s because they know that they will likely be worthless in the near future. Unfortunately they’re not the ones who will be caught up in the next Weimar, it will be the rest of us.

The situation is unbelievably bad. In 2007 I made $43000; I had NO income in 2012, I just today got a raise and I’m back up to $12.00/hour, no benefits, not full time most weeks. I went back to school and got a degree which seems to have accomplished nothing; although at least I paid for it myself instead of going into debt. I’ll be fifty this summer, I never thought my life would be this far off the rails at this age. The sooner it all goes off a cliff the better.

@ maggie, when I say ‘true helicopter money’ I mean money that is given directly to the people, rather than given to banks. No, I don’t advocate this, I just think its inevitable. QE in the form we have seen so far has been just another bank bailout. ‘QE for the people’ will be money given directly to people, most likely in the form of bank deposits, not literally dropped from a helicopter, and certainly not on your crops. Those who claim to know best, like PHD econ types, have said that this will ‘boost aggregate demand’. This money will be given directly to lower income people with the hopes that they will spend it on useless shit they don’t actually need; the consumerism that drives the US economy. However, ‘helicopter money’ will just end up being another bank bailout. Most people who get this helicopter money will have high intrest rate credit card debt to pay off, and will most likely use the money to do that, rather than buy more useless shit, and this will result in the free money going right back to the banks, yet again. Just another bank bailout.

and @ francis marion, I fear you are right. What you say would certainly employ a lot of people. It will also result in rationing and price controls a la WWII. But this time, those in the US will not be immune to the true consequences of war, not in todays age of ballistic missles that can hit anywhere. The last time this happened, the continental US was protected by the big oceans on both sides. Next time, not so much.

The family and I went to the mall in our neck of the woods the other day, so my wife could exchange an outfit she didn’t like, I think the store was H&M, but who really cares. I went with the kidos because I haven’t seen the inside of a mall in a very long time. And, I would say that at least 25%-30% of the retail space was empty, and there was hardly anyone in sight. I also thought it was interesting that on the sales clerks name tag it read “Apply today for and exiting CAREER at H&M”.

While the above posters are correct, the US has been no friend to Venezuela, it is still a terribly mismanaged country. They have the largest petroleum reserves in the world and they still can’t provide electricity or feed themselves. Something can be said for the US and Saudis deliberately driving the price down to hurt countries like Russia and Venezuela, it may well be true, but the Russians have born the brunt of US/EU economic sanctions, and are also largely dependent on energy exports, and they don’t haves problem feeding themselves or keeping the lights on because their country is run better. Socialism always fails.

Tons of “Help Wanted” signs around here. For part time jobs with no benefits/insurance, paying $8-12/hour

Its at the point where most US buinesses (supposedly) can’t survive unless they pay the help slow-descent-into-poverty wages.

Even jobs in fields where the suits are complaining about “no qualified applicants” aren”t seeing any pay raises. And whats the point of leaving your current job and relocating, if there is no pay raise involved?

Ive been getting cold calls from recruiters for the first time. Jobs requiring more travel, and dealing with bigger pains in the azz. With starting pay less than what I’m making now.

Its as if the suit-class has got together and decided that the serfs don’t deserve “X”, so the position doesn’t get filled. After all………..More Pay = Socialism / “taking from the producers, to hand over to the losers”
