I believe that competency will be punished. This relates to being an employee where the ‘reward’ for being competent at your job is to just get saddled with more work while the ones that are incompetent get rewarded with less work. This I learned in the Navy where the incompetents were rewarded with more time off and way less stress and responsibility.
It also seems to apply to being an employee in general.

If history holds true, the United States can expect a major war every 80 years on average. Revolutionary War 1775-1783, Civil War 1861-1865, WWI 1914-1918 and WWI 1941-45 (both related), and the next one is due 2020 or so…..
Of course, this has nothing to do with the push for gun control…..

I always thought 2016-2020 would finish setting the board, and then 2020-2028/30 would finish sliding pieces around until we see who is standing and who is not.
I think we’re going to hit the peak of this crises in 3 or 4 years and then reach the resolution around 2025, so we’re pretty much on the same page. I also believe that we’re going to witness the end of the mega-state and move into era of decentralization.
I sincerely hope you are correct. An age of self-reliance would be a welcome reprieve from the bullshit of the last 150 years.

I like what John Trudell said about believing; that belief is a con you run on yourself. Belief can be held onto by believers despite evidence that contradicts the belief. I say “I think” instead of “I believe”. If what I think turns out to be wrong, I don’t have to resist changing my thinking because I’m not invested in it, and have not conned myself.
John was a clear thinker, though plenty of people dismiss what he talked about as the ravings of an old, former AIM radical. John died in December of ’15. I’ll miss his talks.
