California is going batshit crazy with gun control. Governor is getting ready to sign the most restricted gun laws in nation.

It seems that some shitstain tried to rob my local branch of my credit union Thursday with a gun. A CCP holder pulled his gun and shot said shitstain but he got away anyway and is still at large. So far the popo is not pressing charges against the CCP holder but he lawyer-ed up anyway.

Gov Brown just signed a bill that requires owners to turn in any “high capacity” clips of over 10 rounds. Good luck with that!
History is usually a decent indicator in which case the majority of gun owners will not comply with that law. What that means is that Governor Jerry Brown signed a law that has now turned well over a million Otherwise law abiding California citizens into criminals. Actually what Jerry Brown just did is unconstitutional. Ex post facto Laws are unconstitutional.
Article 1 section 9 clause 3 “No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.”
Article 1 section 10 “Moreover, the states may not pass bills of attainder, enact ex post facto laws, impair the obligation of contracts, or grant titles of nobility.”
Millions of Californians legally purchased firearms that came with 10+ round magazines in the past that the state has now decided to make illegal and the ownership of those firearms is now a crime. To be more accurate it is the magazines that make it a crime. Yeah you can buy replacement magazines for some guns but I don’t think that is true for those guns that are no longer in production. The whole 10 round limitation is nothing but a feel good idea that only appeals to those that know nothing about firearms. Anyone that takes an objective look and applies common sense and logic quickly realizes the whole idea is pure nonsense. When the gun control law makers first came up with the 10 round limitation idea they tried to include the police in their 10 round limitation and the police just about rioted and told the gun control idiots that they were insane and that the police would never stand for such nonsense.
For me I’m not turning in anything but I cannot accept a situation where without having done anything wrong I am now a criminal. I’m not going to live that way. I’m not going to fight anyone, that’s not my approach to this type of situation. I’m just going to leave. I’ve lived in California all my life but it’s clear I can’t stay here any longer.

@ Westcoaster…..Ordering the Californians to turn in their ‘high capacity’ mags will work there about as well as it worked here in the Soviet Socialist State of CT. That and the ‘register your assault weapon’ law was such a embarrassing failure that the assholes in Hartford won’t talk about it.
But the damage is done. Now in CT if you get even a temporary restraining order against you, then you will have your guns taken away immediately.
When the restraining order is lifted, you have to petition the court and fight to get your guns back (good luck with that).
So if you break up with your girlfriend and she is mad about it, she can use the courts to make your life miserable. She needs no proof other than her word against yours that you are some kind of threat.
So when the Heroes come for your guns, and they find just one magazine over the 10 round limit, you’ll be busted and face jail time.
