A Period Of Major Civil Unrest Looms – How To Win An Inevitable Confrontation With The Status Quo

Submitted by Mike Krieger via Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,

At this point I’d like to remind everyone that crime in the U.S. has been dropping since the 1990’s. So why has domestic police force militarization been growing exponentially since then? Ostensibly, it is for the “war on terror” and to keep us safe. In reality, we know this is bullshit. Just like the NSA’s unconstitutional spying hasn’t stopped a single terrorist attack, turning local cops into a domestic army hasn’t done a single thing to make us safe. To the contrary, it is creating an environment where the general public harbors increased resentment and skepticism toward police, and the police view the citizenry as the “enemy.” This takes the societal tinderbox that already exists and makes it downright explosive. Ferguson is just the latest example of the tension bubbling to the surface, but there will likely be many more in the future.

– From the 2014 post: “A Good Time Was Had By All” – The Obamas Dance the Night Away as Ferguson, Missouri Burns

Last spring, I highlighted the egregious and barbaric shooting of Walter L. Scott as he fled from a South Charleston, South Carolina police officer. In light of recent events, it’s crucial to recall the sordid details of this case. As such, here’s a excerpt from the post, South Carolina Cop to Be Charged with Murder for Shooting Man 8 Times in the Back as He Ran Away:

The video at the end of this story is really hard to watch. Not just because we see a police officer gunning down a man as he ran away, but because he repeatedly yells at a dead body to “put his hands behind his back,” and then seemingly plants his taser by the corpse to cover up the crime.

Just like with banker theft, unless people are held accountable with serious jail time, the criminality will not only continue, it will get worse. The rule of law must be restored and applied equally to the rich and powerful, or we are truly doomed as a society.

Although I haven’t been as focused on police brutality and murder this year, that doesn’t mean the problem’s gone away. Just yesterday, a very disturbing incident occurred in Baton Rouge, Louisiana that once again looks a lot like straight up police murder. As is often the case, the victim was a marginalized black man merely trying to make a buck in an incredibly corrupt and rigged economy.

Here’s the tragic case of Alton Sterling, as reported by the New York Times:

Scores of protesters gathered in Baton Rouge, La., on Tuesday night after a black man was fatally shot in an encounter with police officers earlier in the day, an incident that was captured in a graphic cellphone video that began circulating on social media.

The victim, Alton Sterling, 37, was killed in a shooting at about 12:35 a.m. on Tuesday, the Baton Rouge police said in a statement. The police had received a call from someone who reported having been threatened by an armed man wearing a red shirt who was selling CDs outside a store in the eastern part of the city, the statement said.

A police spokeswoman reached early Wednesday said that she could not comment beyond the statement, which provided no details of what it called an “altercation” between Mr. Sterling and the two officers who responded.

William Clark, the coroner of East Baton Rouge Parish who is known as Beau, said that Mr. Sterling had died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and back.

A cellphone video shot by a bystander, which was released later in the day, showed Mr. Sterling being tackled by a police officer. He is then held to the ground by two officers, and one of the officers appears to hold a gun above Mr. Sterling’s chest.

In a Twitter post early Wednesday, the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson called the shooting a “legal lynching.”

Before you accuse Mr. Jackson of exaggeration, watch the video below and make up your own mind.

I think it’s quite fitting that the shameless police murder above occurred on the exact same day that Hillary Clinton was set free by the top cops in the nation thanks solely to her position of power and influence.

None of this will be lost upon a citizenry which is already seething with rage and very close to a tipping point. Increasingly, the general public is coming to the very unpleasant realization that they live in a corporate oligarchy in which they are subjects rather than citizens. The more they are pushed into a corner, the sooner they will lash out in all sorts of ways.

The generational level revolts I anticipate have been a long time coming and will emanate from both rural, largely white America, as well from inner city communities populated mostly by minorities. The key thing we must all bear in mind going into the turbulent times ahead is that we are all in this together.

The status quo doesn’t care whether you are black, white, Jewish, Muslim, Christian, male, female, straight, gay or transgender. To the status quo we are all expendable peasants — cannon fodder. The establishment loves to play up the differences between us in order to divide us, but they don’t care about any of us. They will allocate all their energy and efforts into dividing and conquering the public in the period of civil unrest to come. If we fall for this trap we will have only ourselves to blame for the failure to turn grassroots protests into genuine, systemic change.

The other key variable as to whether the forthcoming rebellions result in any positive change will revolve around what form they take. When I say civil unrest, I am well aware that this likely means some degree of violence and looting; however, such expressions of frustration will do far more harm than good. We must recognize that as it stands the status quo has no actual legitimacy, and therefore can only succeed if it’s able to portray the abused public as the bad guys, and sell us on the idea that the U.S. government is the only thing standing between us and violent mobs.

If you want to win this battle, you need to be smart. Winning the hearts and minds of the general public is absolutely critical, and shouldn’t be difficult in an environment in which the establishment discredits itself on a daily basis.

To summarize, I think the activist community across American needs to do two things:

1. Stick together. Black, white, rural, urban, we are all in this together. Don’t allow yourselves to become divided — we have the same opponent. Never forget that.

2. Keep things non-violent. If violence happens, always make sure the government fires the first shots. If the general public perceives you to be out there looking for a fight as opposed to reacting to state aggression, you will lose. Think outside the box, be creative and employ non-violent civil disobedience whenever possible.

A perfect example of what not to do was seen earlier this year in Oregon. See: A Stupid Standoff but a Just Cause – My Thoughts on the Hammond Situation.

John Lennon had it absolutely right. If we’re going to achieve real paradigm-level positive change we must always remember his words:

“The key thing we must all bear in mind going into the turbulent times ahead is that we are all in this together. ”

You cannot base any kind of movement, no matter how well-intentioned or necessary, on a falsehood.

There is no “we” with the population inside the borders of the former USA anymore than there is a “we” in a given time span of history.

It is very easy to see connections to others when you are desperate- think of a drowning man grasping for the closest swimmer. But those kinds of connections are equally fraught with the risk that everyone goes down together.

As much as it pains me to admit it, I can’t seem to muster up the required sympathy for a convicted felon with a gun in his pocket threatening a store clerk while selling chotchkes on another man’s front step and resisting the entreaties of armed LE officers. What kind of neighbor is that? How much more is the public expected to put up with from that kind of person before there are consequences?

No one could possibly be happy or proud or feel vindicated by what happened to that man, but at what point do reasonable people point out that he couldn’t have asked for that outcome anymore if he tried? Policemen are human beings too, they didn’t go out looking to kill someone for entertainment purposes that night and you can bet your bottom dollar that unless they are sociopaths- and I suppose in this day and age I should account for that possibility- they will be scarred by this for the rest of their lives. But clearly, what choice did they have? Leave? Allow the world to descend into complete disorder because times are tough? And as a felon, was Alton Sterling unaware that he shouldn’t have been packing heat? When asked to relocate, could he not have nodded and headed to some other location? Where is his sense of responsibility to his family? If they need him does he not recognize the importance of behaving in such a manner as to not bring additional hardship and heartache to an already suffering family?

He is spot on when he says that the status quo has no legitimacy and every day more and more people recognize that fact and that alone is enough to topple any power structure in time. Trying to find some commonality with petty criminals because you are both oppressed is delusional.

HSF….you have a major flaw in your spiel; you are assuming that the store clerk/owner/whoever actually called the police stating that Alton pulled a gun, AND/OR you are assuming that even if the call was made that the store clerk/owner/whoever didn’t lie just to get a rid of a guy selling CD’s in front of his store.

I doubt it pains you at all. “The entreaties of armed LE offciers” my ass. Polish their shoes while you’re down there groveling.

Beware the U.S. Education Department SWAT team
By Brian W. Walsh

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Brian W. Walsh
Senior Legal Research Fellow
Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies
Add the U.S. Department of Education to the list of federal agencies that can invade your home at gunpoint and hold you and your family in custody for hours.
Kenneth Wright learned this the hard way last week, when federal “education” agents busted down the front door of his Stockton, Calif., home at 6 in the morning.

“They surrounded the house; it was like a task force or SWAT team,” a neighbor told a national news affiliate. “They all had guns. They dragged him out in his boxer shorts, threw him to the ground and handcuffed him.”

Wright’s terrified children — ages 3, 9 and 11 — were forced to sit in a patrol car for two hours. Wright himself was in custody for six hours. “I felt really bad for those kids,” a neighbor said.

Federal agents for the Education Department’s inspector general executed a very broad search warrant and seized paperwork and a personal computer. Wright says the law enforcement agents — who reportedly included 13 with the Education Department and one or two Stockton police officers — told him they were investigating his estranged wife’s use of federal aid for students. But she doesn’t even live in his house.

A federal spokesman tried to distance the Education Department from the raid by emphasizing that the IG runs a “semi-independent office.” But that begs the question of why a federal agency overseeing education policy should have an IG who can send agents armed with guns into Americans’ homes. Or why the department has SWAT-style teams of agents to begin with.

Kelly Thomas (2011)……he was exposed to the most barbaric physical police brutality ever committed and of course he died; and of course the CopFucks got away with murder.

Know that Kelly was homeless and store owners had been calling police to get rid of the homeless around their shops – it just doesn’t look good to have those filthy, smelly, badly clothed homeless hanging around our establishments – it is bad for business.

Alton Sterling….know that he was selling CD’s outside storefronts and a store owner called the police and said Alton pulled a gun.
IMO, there is substantial reason to believe the store owner lied. He saw and knew Alton was outside selling CD’s.
It is not a stretch at all to consider that the storefront owner that called the police on Alton lied that he pulled a gun cuz he didn’t want anyone selling outside his store that didn’t pay property taxes, sales taxes, employee wages, etc.

I’ve seen this in person: We had a power outage in our community for a full week. All the stores/businesses were closed. A mobile specialty food vendor parked legally in a parking lot that housed multiple shops. The owner of a closed restaurant in that complex made a big scene with the mobile unit. It was ridiculous as there was no competition due to power outage.

yeah, i just heard about this one from my friend. a man with his family stopped for a busted tail light. he is a licensed CC holder, tells the officer this and reaches for his license after the officer instructs him to provide them and blasts him in his seat. this one stinks to high hell.

the guy in baton rouge, that one has sketchy parts but i won’t give the benefit of the doubt to the urban “peoples” but this one was in minnesota looks like its much more likely a guy who seemed like he may have actually been a good person. he was licensed (therefore not a criminal) and took NRA classes for training.

this is also where the BLM movement has fucked themselves over in terms of credibility. they come to the defense of numerous pieces of shit over and over again but many people will just see it as them crying “wolf” again even if its legit this time.

Once you have a criminal record in this country your life is virtually over. It is sooooo easy to be charged and found guilty of a crime. Tons of criminals on the way up from Adolescence.

Did you know that urinating in public can get you put on the sexual offense list?

Everybody dies and I’ve seen it happen right in front of my eyes more than once. That isn’t a reason to grant amnesty to the dead, nor to refrain from justifiable criticism of exactly what placed the deceased in that position. You want to get drunk and race down the highway and die in the wreck you blame the driver, not the auto industry or alcohol.

I don’t know the whole story, neither does anyone else, but it is clear that 1) he was a felon in possession of firearm resisting the police and 2) he left his family grieving because he failed to exercise at least some degree of probity. Actions have consequences.

You want to throw in with everyone simply because they aren’t part of the State that’s your business, but it is disingenuous to the extreme for the author to claim some kind of us versus them mentality when the us part is anyone without a badge regardless of their character or behavior. I have no more interest in being part of a mob than I do being part of the police state. There are all kinds of places between those two extremes where a man can make a far more meaningful contribution to the world.

“I don’t know the whole story, neither does anyone else, but it is clear that 1) he was a felon in possession of firearm resisting the police ”

It’s about as clear as mud. You’re jumping to the conclusion that the msm reports are true. I know from experience the msm outlets always slip in a lie or two so that the average bootlicker on the receiving end of their propaganda can justify the actions of the cops.

I always presume that msm reports are lies. Always. You haven’t caught them in any lies, I suppose.

The militarization of our police is the result of a change in attitude on the part of government from being the peoples representatives -with serious restrictions on what it can do- and the police being peace officers whose purpose was keeping the peace to being the people rulers and the police their enforcers whose purpose is to force unquestioning compliance with its orders.

Essentially the same situation the British Colonists in America faced with King George along with the British Parliament and the British Military that were stationed in the Colonies.

Different times, same situation.

Krieger looks like he is wrong in both cases. Liberals love predators. I don’t know why. I’m not saying i think Walter Scott or Alton Sterling deserved to die, but their deaths were the result of multiple bad choices, and the cops are going to walk in both cases. The Castile one looks really bad on preliminary information.

“I’m not saying i think Walter Scott or Alton Sterling deserved to die,”

Changed your tune about Sterling? On another thread you claimed he was a 300 lb Bloods member and a pedophile. Just admit that you lied, even if you were just repeating a lie without checking it out.

Not what i’m saying, Ed. Looks like he was a scumbag. I don’t think he deserved to die. But he put himself in that position. Oh well. Doesn’t break my heart. But i’m not happy about it. I’m capable of two tracks of thought at the same time. Reread hardscrabbles post up top. Same thing.

Admit I lied. Funny. About what? 300 pounds? All press reports him at 310. Pedophile? Convicted in 2000 for impregnating a 14 year old. Blood gang member? These academic questions are about to be answered up close and personal.

What will you do? Are you preparing for collapse? Civil unrest on steroids? When your neighbor asks if you can spare a little food, what will you say? Can you watch a child die and do nothing? You may have to, or risk your family dying. You best pay attention to Venezuela, that’s our new normal and it ain’t far away.

I’ve watched the Walter Scott video a hundred times . Slowed it down frame by frame. It was an execution . The cop has one of the best attorney’s around..Andy Savage. They’ll use every trick to get him off..like he was scared for his life etc .

The Kelly Rose killing was a brutal beating done by a brute . The cop got off-if Kelly were my brother or son I’d get even .Convicting a cop of anything is one of the toughest prosecution cases there is .

This whole meme began when our rulers started writing millions of pages of law designed to enslaves us. “3 Felonies A Day” teaches me that this is true.Couple that with the criminal leaders being exempt from the laws they pass and you have a simmering cauldron that will boil over at some point .

In the area where my farm is located I know everyone, who I can trust and who I can’t . My fast and hard rule for when TSHTF is….I don’t know you…you need to move on !

I suppose we’ve seen the events in Dallas this morning?

This isn’t the kind of outcome any of us wants, believe me.

Remember Loretta Lynch down in Arizona last week meeting with Bill Clinton? The untold story in all that was why she was there- to sieze control of yet another local PD by the FEDS.

You think a few more incidents like this and the FEDS won’t take over all policing at every level and replace the “bad cops” with “civilian enforcement”, i.e. a CHEKA/STASI style loyalist party type force with zero ties to community and 100% control from DC?
