ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH

There will be no posts tomorrow from me. We’ll be traveling all day to Colorado for a week long visit with Kevin. He started his life in Colorado just over a year ago, and this will be our first visit. He’s going to keep us on the move all week, hiking, sightseeing, and staying active. There will be little or no time for TBP. We’ll post whatever the regular contributors choose to submit either in the morning or at night.

I can’t wait to get felt up by some TSA troglodyte tomorrow. I’m looking forward to seeing the Rocky Mountains up close. I hear they’re very similar to West Philly. Maybe I’ll pickup some Rocky Mountain High “brownies” for SSS.

Jim…………..

As a long ago, 4-year resident, Colorado is a stunningly beautiful state. Have fun. I’ll pass on the brownies, but thanks for the thought.

You could probably make the TSA experience a little easier if you travel buck naked.

My cousin’s son just graduated from Colorado’s School of Mines Petroleum Eng and landing his first job starting this fall… is that where your son is going to college as well?

Anyway, Andrew (well, he was Andrew to all of us until he moved to Colorado and then he insisted on being Loren — gotta love it when a kid decides he’ll be who he wants to be) says that even though his job is in North Dakota for now, he will do whatever it takes to get himself back to that area because there is nothing like it in the world.

True that, but I don’t like the snow business that much.

You and Avalon have a great time. Kevin will be excited to show you his world and you are going to love Colorado. Why don’t you just ignore TBP for a few days?

Gayle, can he really trust the STMs around here without checking in?

Have fun admin and Avalon! Colorado rocks when it comes to scenery. If you happen to be in a dark location the first night or two keep an eye toward the northern horizon around local midnight. The Sun belched a few small flares that might turn the northern lights on for you.

Have a great trip!

Be sure to stuff a couple of gym socks in your shorts, the TSA guys love a good prank and you may even get patted down by a female agent of your choice.

Did you settle in the Grand Junction area? I remember your asking about it several years ago, and I gave it a big thumbs-up.
