Question of the Day, August 30

Now that it’s been a few days since the latest distraction, how do you feel about Colin Kaepernick sitting through the national anthem?

Much more to this story than you think. In the same interview, Kaepernick states how ridiculous it is that Hillary can commit high crimes and still run for president, while any of us would already be in jail. I guess that comment wasn’t “newsworthy”. How do I feel? I would be ok if he wiped his ass with the flag during the anthem. Hillary already has. At this point, what difference does it make?

I don’t follow sports, long ago realized buying a jersey made in Vietnam with another man’s surname that I will never meet emblazoned on the back was the definition of cuckery. However, the more this story festers in my mind the more I think this guy is smarter than most give him credit for. He is about to be cut, right? He is about to join the legions of former pro athletes who are now car dealership promoters and unsuccessful sports bar owners. At least that’s what I hear.

A cut pro athlete has no voice. In the social media age, a has been has very few followers. However, a ranting special snowflake pro athlete who gets his name on every media outlet and spoken around every water cooler in America is simply investing in his future. A sad, sad, testament of the times. Kopernick or whatever his name is seems to simply be jockeying for his financial future by becoming a household name. Lord knows it’s better investment than purchasing AMZN or AAPL.

Also, a big thank you to Kopernick or whatever his name is for joining our cause. He joins Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Alton Sterling, and a bunch of other functioning mental vegetables for waking up millions of mouthbreathers to the cruel reality of this world, that enough will never be enough, that it will not stop until you demand it stops, that you are always the problem and never the solution. He has done more for the cause than a thousand posts from my nitwit brain can do on this or any other site. For the first time since the few of us have turned from the bread and circuses of organized sport and Hollywood, Regular Joes are burning their lawfully-acquired jerseys and questioning their season ticket purchases, money that could have been better spent on 1/8th of a semester of college for their children. We have much to thank from this man.

I continue to bite my tongue at the local tavern as the artists, hipsters, and fearful cuck yuppies still surround me. But finally, the corruption of their professional football methadone is a notable step in the wakeup process of the masses. Maybe we are finally making progress. And the Turning rolls on.

You are giving him far more credit than he is due. Dude was told my a family member or friend that the US is bullshit and he believes it.

This is how he responded.

I doubt the Left will pick up on him too much, he’s too hard of a sell.

The guy will have made more than $150M by the time he is out of the league, and will be broke and penniless in 10 years.

And nobody will even care.

If he wanted to take a stand against general police brutality, he’d have a point, but like BLM, he starts with the flawed premise that cops shoot a disproportionate number of blacks. With approximately 30% of those killed by cops being black, and given blacks’ greater criminality, that’s just not true.

I don’t care what Colon Kapernick thinks. More important is what the NFL does. If they give the public a bunch of politically correct crap screw them. No buying tickets, no watching on TV. They have a right to say and act as they want but not with my money.

Doesn’t quite pass the smell test for me. What does pass is simply more of the deep resentment manifesting that blacks hold for whitey.

I feel like he should move to Africa where he won’t be oppressed by Whites and an an oppressive racist government like he is here.

Hopefully he’ll take some other Black malcontents with him, he can certainly afford to to that after all his lucrative but obviously oppressed success here.

Only one of his parents was black, and adopted by white parents.

I heard the BLM crap on the radio yesterday, before reading the rest of the interview. The media is spinning this to make him the bad guy.

How about all the people who say “support our troops”, but it’s just a part of their marketing strategy? You support our troops? Ask why they’re still in Iraq and Afghanistan. Ask why we need to support terrorists to get rid of Assad. Ask why we develop weapons systems that make lots of profit, but are likely duds in real combat. How about asking why an old man kills himself in a VA parking lot after being denied treatment.

The flag is a symbol of our nation. If you don’t think we are moving in the correct direction, not standing during the national anthem makes sense.

It may cost him, he has one of the shakier big time contracts in the league. But he’s a mid twenties guy, the tats tell you he is impulsive. He has mostly stayed out if trouble (some minor stuff on the beach down here a couple of years ago) That’s how boys become men, by making mistakes and learning. Most disappointing, most disappointing indeed. Well let’s just throw this baby out with the bathwater because a bunch of commies have come in and stunk up the place and occupied us and had the nerve to install Dear Leader Oreo. So we just abandon our country and the symbols and the Constitution and say the hell with it. So what do you whiz kids want to replace it with?

What do you want Bea? TPTB use the flag and anthem, among other things, to intimidate the masses into thinking and acting in ways that serve them. Those things do not represent freedom or greatness anymore except to the slobbering idiots who send their children off to fight bankers wars while believing they are being patriotic and fighting for THEIR country. The country no longer belongs to those who lay their lives down for it.

If we manage to turn things around and throw off our oppressors, a new flag and anthem would absolutely be needed. To the rest of the world our flag represents evil. That’s no way to start a new nation.

August 30, 2016 9:35 pm

Not at all but my wife has not come to represent all that is evil in the world. The “America” formed by our founders no longer exists and will never exist again. Some smaller nation may eventually emerge with ideals similar to those of the former USA but the one you and I long for is dead. I’m not happy about it but it is what it is.

Imagine the USA you apparently still believe in as a dead and now rotting corpse. You don’t revive that. You don’t bring that back. You bury it deep to contain the disease and odor within and begin anew.

“America” was a great concept but the corruption and rot set in almost immediately. Injuries were inflicted, illnesses tried to bring her down but she was healed and recovered for the first 136 years or so and then a terminal cancer set in and began to grow and metastasize to every part of it including it’s most valuable assets………it’s citizens. The majority of these citizens are still oblivious and in Rah, Rah mode with no idea their country has died.

If you expect to emerge from your doomstead at any point in the future with anything resembling the USA you love in place then you better drink in an enjoy what you see around you now because this is as close as you’re going to get for several lifetimes.

I/S-And yet again you do not offer up what you would replace it with. I never get an answer for that question and I have asked it here many times, ask Stucky. Everyone that says” out with the old and in with the new” never even hints at what the new would consist of. This place ain’t perfect but it sure as shit beats the NWO model of global commie slave farm which comes next so I say we save what we have before Merica does draw it’s last breath.

“what you would replace it with. I never get an answer for that question and I have asked it here many times”

That in itself should tell you something. What do you think comes next? Do you think you just get to snap your fingers and 1780 unfurls before you….like a do-over?

As llpoh and others have said, it will be a damned good idea to get it figured out ahead of time.

I don’t know what comes next. I know what I’d like to see come next but I’m 50 years old. I won’t be doing the heavy lifting therefore my desires won’t count for much. I’m told that the Generation Z (after the millenials) will be “The Builders”. We could argue the dates for Generation Z (for Zombies?) but the first of them are starting to graduate from their safe spac……..I mean college now. Maybe they’ll just be the builders while the millenials lead them (Bwahahahaha!)

I don’t have the answers but the millenials and generation Z did not grow up in the ‘Murica you and I long for. They barely even read about it in history books so what do you think they might want? (besides free shit) My fear is that the evil fucks who stole our country from us, the same evil fucks that come out on top of every fourth turning, will be calling the shots as usual. I’m not encouraged. I do know that Gen Z won’t be performing CPR on a diseased corpse. I just hope to get my licks in before I go.

Well, maybe you’d better just shut and quit saying the things you say here (and probably elsewhere).

Many countries -from European to China and Middle Eastern- will hunt you down and imprison you for that.

After all the US is the evil one, not those that would imprison you for expressing your views against them on the Internet, right?

Or maybe you should rethink your position on how terrible and oppressive it is to live here, you wouldn’t be allowed to run free being what you are in much or most of the world. I know you don’t want to protect it so you should be grateful for those that do in all the ways you do, they allow you to be you and still remain both free and alive.

Bea, I don’t leave comments very often. Some posts just strike me too much to stay silent. The flag is an important rallying point. No argument. But the oligarchs, deep state, and the MSM, always say you can’t protest in a way that dishonors the troops. So how should you protest? Stand three blocks away from the stadium, with a sign on a stick? They would like that.

Also, it makes me ill when I hear people talk about supporting the troops, when they would happily make a buck off of those same troops.

The flag, and the national anthem, are supposed to stand for something better than our ancestors left. At the moment, it’s being drug through the mud. Forget about the morality of what we’re doing. Very bad decisions are being made because of personal greed.

First I’ve heard that it was in protest against Hitlery, but I’m guessing that was simply in jest. I don’t get it, the trumpeteers hump the Donald’s leg daily for his “Make America Great Again” slogan then turn around and say they support this maroon for disrespecting the anthem and the country.
