On my morning’s walk with my elderly neighbor, we lamented the complete breakdown of anything resembling courage or integrity from the majority of those in whom we are told are working to protect our interests. We both grasp the complete change which has come upon our society, both physically with the masking and distancing and morally, with the fearfulness and paranoia such enforced isolation seems to encourage. Of course, the exchange went more like this:
