New Evidence for SARS-CoV-2 Lab Origins

Guest Post by Eugyppius

An important new preprint finds the unmistakable fingerprints of tinkering in the Corona genome

Endonuclease fingerprint indicates a synthetic origin of SARS-CoV-2, a preprint by Valentin Bruttel, Alex Washburne and Antonius VanDongen, is probably the most important research to date on the artificial origins of SARS-2. There’s a Twitter summary by Washburne here, and a reader-friendly Substack writeup by Washburne here.

As Ralph Baric and his colleagues explained way back in 2017, coronaviruses have very long genomes, which “complicate efficient engineering.” If you want to tinker with their genes, you need to create a DNA copy, because DNA is more stable and easier to fiddle with. To do this, Baric recommended using specific restriction enzymes, which create DNA analogues of sections of the RNA genome, demarcated by specific genetic sequences called recognition sites. These shorter DNA building-block sequences can then be individually manipulated or switched out, and then ultimately joined to each other at their “sticky ends” to build the full DNA genome, which can then be transcribed back into the original RNA. Unless you specifically decide to remove them, though, the restriction sites remain in the RNA sequence, like seams in cloth. Naturally occurring coronaviruses also have restriction sites, but these tend to have a more sporadic occurrence. Scientists like Baric therefore preferred to remove some of these natural restriction sites and to add others of their own, so they’d only have to work with a few DNA fragments of roughly equal length. They might also prefer to insert seams around genetic sequences of particular interest. These would make it possible to swap in the genetic code at these crucial sites – to see, for example, how pathogenic a wild-type SARS-2 with Omicron spike might be.

Comparison against a wide variety of other virus genomes reveals that the distribution of these seams, or recognition sites, in SARS-2 is highly anomalous for a natural virus, and totally normal for a synthetic one. That is, SARS-2 has all of its restriction sites exactly where a scientist would find it most convenient to put them, and not where you’d expect them to occur naturally.

Note the evenly spaced Bsal (pink() and BsmBl (green) restriction sites in the SARS-2 genome, as opposed to the more random occurrence in natural coronaviruses.

There’s little point in me summarising the authors’ conclusions any further – Washburne in particular has done a great job of making his technical findings accessible to a wide audience, and I recommend that you read his Twitter and his Substack post.

Here, I just want to emphasise two points. The first is the fact that the crucial receptor binding domain and furin cleavage site of the SARS-2 genome are bracketed by two Bsal restriction sites. In the closest SARS-2 relatives, this portion of the genome is further divided by other Bsal and BsmBl restriction sites. It looks like someone has removed them here to create this clean and undivided sequence. This could be read as circumstantial evidence that SARS-2 is the product of a research programme focused at least partly on tinkering with this precise part of the genome.

The other point is the likely deliberate decision to leave the restriction sites in place, even though removing them from the final viral product would have been trivial. This suggests that the SARS-2 was the subject of ongoing gain-of-function experiments at the moment it escaped, with all its Frankenstein stitches still showing, to facilitate further cutting and pasting operations.

“at the moment it escaped” ha ha ha…too funny.

Given that such extremely reckless American actions seem to be bringing us steadily closer to a World War III fought against both Russia and China, I’d once again recommend my own long series of Covid/biowarfare articles.

Beginning in April 2020, I have made the case that there is a strong perhaps even overwhelming likelihood that the Covid epidemic resulted from an American biowarfare attack against China (and Iran).

It’s the flu.

You are trusting the exact same scientists who lied to you for three solid years to reinforce a narrative about some super flu that killed fewer people than the same old-same old flu did the year before.

While people spend their time considering this hogwash they aren’t getting ready for a future without the energy, supply chains, freedom and prosperity that they experienced their entire lives. These are simply moving the furniture away from the brick wall at the back of the room while people debate the gene structure of a virus.

As Susan Powter used to say, Stop the insanity.

Gene editing is fake and gay.

It is the flu (normal body detox behavior). TPTB only care that you believe that there is a deadly, contagious pathogen to stoke FEAR.

As long as you believe in the virus, they care not if you think it came from a bat or (fake) engineered in a lab.

Dr. Yan covered this and the gain of function research years ago.

As a scientist, I enjoy reading this article and pondering the gene structure and the implications.

As a human being, it makes no damn difference and, one could argue, it is a waste of time. Time that could be used in better and more meaningful ways. But so is hanging out on TBP.

Every day now, I try to improve my life. I make a plan in the morning on how to spend my day in the most meaningful way, to prepare, to enjoy the moment, to make small improvements, little by little, like cleaning out the fridge or buying a new tool, going for a run etc. Every once in a while I allow myself to indulge in something wasteful, like a piece of chocolate, which is the half an hour on TBP.

By hanging on TBP our lives have improved immeasurably. We have met hundreds of like-minded people, dozens of them are now close friends and associates who frequent the farm and help out, we in turn teach them skills and share our production. It has built community. I feel connected to people who see the world in a similar light and it stiffens my resolve daily. Like you and your children.

Arguing over what kind of virus (none of which have ever been observed) and the DNA makeup of these so-called pathogens is so esoteric and theoretical as to be completely useless to the average human being. And having discovered what we have over the course of the last three years, how could you possibly place any trust whatsoever in these alleged experts in the field? They’ve either all been wrong, or worse, deliberately dishonest in order to profit off of us. Can you say the same about the posters who frequent TBP?

Spending time is not the same as wasting time. One pays a dividend if used wisely, the other is a sinkhole.

I think I ended wasting as much time as spending it, but I think it is daylight now, so I better get to work. It’s a nice time of year to get manual labor done down here.

+1000 … I’m way past my prime working years, so by sharing useful and potentially life saving information with receptive people, I feel like I’m still contributing to society , in some useful way.
And , I learn a lot, too and time spent self-educating is never wasteful. So there’s that.

Looking for the balance in all things is never a static venture. Imo, TBP is an invaluable resource and like HSF stated a place where community and connections have been made which too can be invaluable.

Having said that, again imo, if all you do is sit in front of a computer screen all day posting and arguing while the day passes you by… Then you’ve lost focus on the real important things… life.

IMHO, You should take some time to read him. Nobody has it all figured out.

The NEXT time they spray The Entire globe, it WILL NOT just target those receiving a pension from some solvent, extant fund. AND ‘Social Security’…THE 1st Universal Basic Income, UBI.

govt. ineptitude IS on Our Side. Or MANY more would be dead already. The KILL/STERILITY SHOT?

Same. Ineptitude. Window of opportunity/latency Period? All but Lost. AND Losing credence by the second.

Soon, PBGC https://www.pbgc.gov/ Will be the ONLY game in town.

But fret not. bill gates bioengineered mosquito swarms will ‘Vaccinate’ You.

And By Springtime? It Will Be ‘ILLEGAL’ to buy/sell vegetable plants. Again.

AND of course, You (Whoever) have already forgotten about/Didn’t Know…
