Goddammit I fucking hate cops with every cell in my body. I wish I had a cop “friend” just so I could invite him over to the house when he’s off duty … and then prompty stomp on his sorry fucking ass.

The cocksucker we call Obama could stop all of this with a couple of unambiguous sentences of support for Occupy Wall Street. He could say …

“The public has an absolute Constitutional right to assemble in public parks for political demonstrations. Any mayor or governor who disagrees will be sued by the Justice Department, and I will send the military to protect demonstrators.”

In 1957, Dwight Eisenhower did just that. He sent the 101st Airborne to LIttle Rock to protect black children who were trying to enlarge their freedom by integrating a school and getting the same education as white children. Occupy Wall Street is a similar historic moment.

But Obama doesn’t give a flying fuck about freedom in the USA.

But, oh yeah, if some pissed off Arabs take to the streets with guns and violence trying to topple the government in power … oh, well, that’s different! Hypocritical cock sucking pience of maggot shit.

You do have a cop friend. Remember us? We’re monitoring your every word. You didn’t fool us by changing your code name from StuckinNJ to Stucky. We’re not as dumb as we appear.

If you keep it up with the cop hating rhetoric, we’ll make the beating our friends in the NYPD are applying to those lefty non calloused hands pinky ring wearing pussies in NYC look like a walk in the park.

    DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

    Don’t be an idiot.

We need cops. What, there’s no violent crime or accidents in your universe? And we need them to join the movement. They’re union labor, and that makes them natural allies. If (when) enough of the NYPD rank and file gets a clue (I’m sure a lot of them already have) it will be a major victory for OWS.

The Berlin wall came down when a majority of the people whose job it was to hold it up said “This is stupid and wrong and I’m not going to do it anymore.”

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 3 Thumb down 7

Stucky, you’re obviously not a troll or you wouldn’t be talking about Ike and ’57.

The cops are some of the last unions left with any power/influence in the US. And they’re dealing with the same crap as the rest of the 99. So think strategically for a minute. Which would be better: news at 11 of cops beating demonstrators, or viral video of the cops _refusing_an_order_to_do_so_? Really, just think about it for a while.

Then maybe you can get over your rage (justified, mind you, it makes me sick, I used to live there, I know about NY cops… Obama is a stooge, blah blah blah…) and get back to work. I mean, do you want to be “right” or do you want to change things?

You think about this for a while.

Police only and always serve the powers in charge. They serve their masters who make the laws. They will without hesitation beat the shit out of anyone and everyone they are ordered to. And those few good cops who don’t, will be replaced by those that do.

Look at ANY revolution or protest in ANY part of the world. Who are the cops protecting? Those in power? Who are they beating? Those who protest against those in power.

    It’s a shame you can’t see that.

  12. Malatesta says:

“Police only and always serve the powers in charge. They serve their masters who make the laws.”

Yes. But the essence of revolution is slaves refusing to serve their masters. At the moment the police stop being a mob of asskickers for the man and become individuals who can see themselves in the people they’re repressing, they cease being police and become revolutionaries. I mean this literally.

Did you ever watch film of the demonstrations & marches before the fall of the shah? There’s one that’s unforgettable. A wave of protesters advance on a line of soldiers. The soldiers open fire. The demonstrators walk over the bodies toward the soldiers, who open fire again. The demonstrators again, and the order to fire comes again. But this time the soldiers don’t fire. Soldiers start to break ranks, throw down their weapons and cross over into the line of demonstrators.

That was the moment the shah fell, and everyone in Iran knew it.

I’m not disagreeing with you. I’m saying there’s a real possibility of sudden, profound transformation that is the quickest and best route to the deep social changes we need to survive.

    I like your Iranian example.

On the other hand, I can point to many examples where the police did not take the side of the protestors.

But, I won’t do so. Because I understand your point and it is well taken. I think I also understand you … a tiny bit. You’re an optimist. And, hey, that’s great.

I’ve been around the block a few times. I’ve lost faith in virtually every American institution — from politicians, to business, to well, everything. We’ve become a stinking cesspool of corrupted liars. So, guess what I am? A die hard Pessimist.

That may account for our differences.

We need good police. We don’t actually need huge numbers of them, but we need some, and we need them to root out and expel any bad police.

Stucky, I’m sure your experience guides your views, but in many parts of the USA your assumptions are not correct. There are large parts of the more free US where good cops are a majority and actually do the things we need police to do, without acting (much) as enforcers for 0.1%. These would be almost exclusively local, county and state police, of course.
