,

I’m on Stratfor’s mailing list. They tout themselves as a security and risk firm. George Friedman runs the company. Their website was hacked by Anonymous weeks ago. Hysterically, this supposed brilliant risk analyst can’t fix the breach. I have received multiple emails this morning from George Friedman’s email address. Below is the email I keep receiving. I’m laughing my ass off. The video is priceless. The establishment thinks they have control. They do not.

For the video announcement, please see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0

I feel slighted.. I only got three emails from George, so far. Always good to have his home and cell numbers though in case I need to strategically forecast anything.

Of course I also got 32 emails from Africa, Russia, Pakistan and India and my junk filter was humming this morning. Also to make thing more fun, a week after being forced into trading in my perfectly good credit card with Schwab for another one sponsored by BOA (gag!), BOA “detected” fraudulent use thereof (for $1) and put a stop on the card without bothering to tell me about it first. I’m so happy they are so efficient (puke!) and I’m so glad I tried to use it for a small purchase I could cover with cash when the card was refused (Surprise! I’m from Bank of America and I’m here to help you!)..

    @ Spanish Star Wars Guy,

Before we dismiss the hackers, let’s remember this:

They exposed Global Warming for what it was – a total manipulated fraud.
They have exposed US Government activites that were SUPPOSED to be public.
We will need them to fight the coming federal attacks on internet sites like this one.

Disinformation junkies always get a fix from somewhere.

People need to get an education–to include “science and math”–I know it’s a new concept for many up and coming Americans.

Start critically thinking for yourselves–don’t be so complacent and dependent upon getting your “so called” truthes from internet hackers, slackers, mealy mouth government bureaucrates, or gutless anachists.

Read, think and assess the situation for yourselves. And then step away from the computer and get busy.

“We dance round the ring and suppose, but the secret sits in the middle and knows.” GET A CLUE.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 2 Thumb down 11

New REAL Email from George. I love it.

    Dear Stratfor Reader,

While addressing matters related to the breach of Stratfor’s data systems, the company has been made aware of false and misleading communications that have circulated within recent days. Specifically, there is a fraudulent email that appears to come from George.Friedman[at]Stratfor.com.

I want to assure everyone that this is not my email address and that any communication from this address is not from me. I also want to assure everyone that Stratfor would never ask customers and friends to provide personal information through the type of attachment that was part of the email at issue. This email, and all similar ones, are false and attempt to prey on the privacy concerns of customers and friends. We strongly discourage you from opening such attachments. We deeply regret the inconvenience this latest development has created.

While Stratfor works to reestablish its data systems and web presence, we ask everyone to please look for official communications, such as this one, and to monitor the Stratfor Facebook page and Twitter feed for company-approved communications.

    Thank you for your patience.

Please direct any questions and concerns to feedback@stratfor.com.

    Sincerely,

    George Friedman

Yes, you wouldn’t want to read the actual documentation and make your decision based on that. Rely on the manipulated #’s. WOW. MORON!!!

Sorry Yoda, just a lil old CPA, clueless on Maff & Signse.

Just a bit of advise, all knowing one, examine the info, REGARDLESS OF SOURCE, don’t discount because of source. GET A CLUE.

    Happy New Year!

Such a pleasure to see another nebbish turn up with words of wisdom more suitable to a good vegie garden.

I’ll give you a Clue: stop talking down to people older (me and some others) and wiser (just about anyone that posts here regularly, including Xers and Millennials) who earned skepticism and still have a sense of humor despite the vicissitudes of life.
