TWO REASONS TO LIKE ICELAND

The first reason is that they are the only country in the world to tell the banks to go fuck themselves.

The second reason is Of Monsters and Men.

    Iceland didn’t just tell the bankers to fuck themselves; they used Interpol to put out arrest warrants and lock the bastards in jail.

    Yes, they jailed the criminal banksters, which is what will happen here. The only problem is, they are going to destroy everything first. So, when the populace that has had their money confiscated, their guns and property confiscated, and handed a SNAP card in recompense starts to go after those who did this (banksters, criminal politicians, Wall Street) they may not make it to trial, but be swinging ever so gracefully from a light post hanging by piano wire.

    Iceland is almost totally made up of people with the same Nordic background and religion all living on a tiny frozen island. Since the vast majority have the same history, the same church, and the same social-academic education hammered into their heads over many generations they are are all on the same page. They have a tolerant society so even most of the minorities, eccentrics and morons are on that same page too. With Iceland being such a small tight knit country they are more like a community than a nation.
