I’ve been pissed off by this story for a few days. I knew exactly what the military and the MSM would do with this story. The game plan is so predictable from the governing elite. The storyline is that this guy was always a bad egg. He was a bad soldier. He was a bad man.

I don’t believe a fucking word of this bullshit. He was married with two kids. People who knew him before he got sent to Iraq said he was a great guy. He was gung ho and loved his country.

The fact is that the U.S. Military, George Bush, Barack Obama and dickheads like John McCain are responsible for this mass murder. They have put men into impossible situations where they can’t tell the enemy from the allies. They don’t have a mission they understand. There is no way to win these wars. They keep recycling these men over and over onto the battlefield. They have destroyed our military force. The mental anguish among the fighting force must be at extreme levels. Our leaders have destroyed the families of thousands of soldiers with their continued deployment in the Middle East to fight wars we never needed to fight.

Why can’t the American people see through the lies and misinformation? Ron Paul is the only person running for office that will end this tragedy and farce. The Boomers brought the Vietnam War to a conclusion with their outrage. Where is their outrage today?

Well now, we might have to wait a while on this one. Sgt. Robert Bales should probably never have been deployed on that last trip. He’d been through hell already, with a brain injury, loss of part of a foot and other indignities.

He also seems to have been a bit of bad boy prior to said many deployments in that fraud and scandal are dogging him as well as the murder chargers.

The story is not complete yet on Sgt. Bales and I for one would like all the information on the table before throwing rocks or breaking bottles..

You would have thought that the Generals would have learned a few things by our adventure in Vietnam about fighting a people where the bad guys go to sleep with the good guys (and family members) every night and you can’t tell a good on from one that’ll slit your throat. The stress this causes and the opportunity for mistakes run sky high in situations like that.

But Vietnam taught the military nothing and our good guys are paying a terrible price because of it.

Why can’t Americans see through the lies? Because they like being lied to. They want to be able to associate themselves with the biggest, bad-ass military machine in world history. If it means brown-skinned people who aren’t a threat to us get mowed down in the tens of thousands, they’re okay with it.

But don’t take away their Social Security check, free pills, subsidized education, and food stamps!

How do I know this? Because they’ve decided that our choice for president is Obama or Romney. That’s all you need to know to determine that Americans are morons.

But Bales’s decision to join the Army also came at a pivotal point in his pre-military career — a career as a stock trader that appears to have ended months after he was accused of engaging in financial fraud while handling the retirement account of an elderly client in Ohio, according to financial records.

An arbitrator later ordered Bales and the owner of the firm that employed him to pay $1.4 million — about half for compensation and half in punitive damages — for taking part in “fraud” and “unauthorized trading,” according to a ruling from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the independent disciplinary board for brokers and brokerage houses.

The U.S. soldier accused of gunning down 16 Afghan civilians, including nine children, was more than $1million in debt and had defrauded a pensioner out of his life savings, it has been claimed.

Federal documents show how Staff Sgt Robert Bales scammed pensioner Gary Liebschner of Carroll, Ohio, of more than $800,000 in a stock scam just before he enlisted in the army.

Financial regulators found in 2003 how Bales ‘engaged in fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, churning, unauthorised trading and unsuitable investments’.

Trickery: Robert Bales (left) reportedly defrauded Gary Liebschner (right) out of $852,000

Liebschner claims the then stock broker, working for Ohio brokerage firm MPI, took his life savings of $852,000 in AT&T stock and reduced its value to nothing through a series of trades.

Alongside his associates, Bales was ordered to pay his victim $1,274,000 in compensatory and punitive damages. But he has not yet done so.

Liebschner told ABC News he recognised ‘smooth talker’ Bales after news reports about the massacre.

Yep. Sometimes I think these “smart phones” will be our undoing. Actually, I think we’re already undone.

My DH says at his workplace, in the break area outdoors where co-workers used to talk to each other, now they just all sit around texting or playing games (or maybe watching porn, hell I don’t know..) on their phones. No more talking amongst themselves.

Maybe this holiday season, I’ll declare our home a phone-free zone. EVERYONE has to leave their cell phone in their car for a few hours while we enjoy some quality time together on Thanksgiving and Christmas. I wonder who’ll stay and who’ll go? ;)

I can only assume you wrote the above before you had a chance to read the two links Flash provided.

It sounds like he is exactly the kink of cocksucker banker/broker/etc we so love to hate — and, rightfully so — around here. I mean, he screwed a retiree out of $800,000! Bad man, bad soldier. Fuck him. He murdered CHILDREN. I can not get aroound that. Let’s stop making excuses about PTSD, the horrors of war, his brain injury or, whatever. Children. Murdered. Cold blood.

The most unfortunate aspect of this despicable crime is that we will never ever know the whole truth. I guess this will be a military trial? Oh, yeah, baby, Let Truth Prevail!! Sarcasm, off. You can bet both you testicles (if you’re a guy) that all kinds of evidence will be suppressed … and even some shit made up.

I am specifically concerned whether or not this was just “one rogue soldier” or, possible — according to some accounts — this was the action of SEVERAL soldiers! My god, what a cluster fuck if the latter was true. But, if true, it will never be made known. This “trial” will be all about politics and damage control. Fuck truth. Bales will be the fall guy … not that he isn’t guilty, but he will be the only one found guilty. Damn shame. In in a few weeks this will be old news and no one will give a shit.

Lesson learned: Don’t give a bankster wannabe a gun

Afghan Shooter Was Penny-Stock Cold-Caller for Mob-Linked Firm

NEW YORK (TheStreet) — Robert Bales, accused killer of 16 Afghan civilians, at one time had ambitions to become a Wall Street Master of the Universe the old-fashioned way: by ripping off the public, working alongside Mob-linked stockbrokers.

It’s not clear to what extent Bales’ life was influenced by his days as a stockbroker for marginal-to-sleazy brokerages in Florida and Ohio. But it must have been significant, because he spent four years in the armpit of the securities industry.

In recent days, attention has focused on an NASD arbitration award from 2003, which he did not contest, stemming from his days as a stockbroker in the 1990s. It found Bales and other brokers liable for ripping off an elderly Ohio couple, and ordered him and others to pay $1.5 million. That turns out to have been just one episode from Bales’ four-year journey through the bottom-feeding netherworld of the microcap market — the world of boiler rooms, overvalued stocks and systematic investor rip-offs.

Bales worked for five brokerages from 1996 to 2000 — including one firm, the Hamilton-Shea Group, whose undisclosed principals later pleaded guilty to felonies and had Mob ties. Their firm was subsequently expelled from the securities industry. Interestingly, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that three of the firms where Bales worked were interconnected, and linked — through personal or corporate ties — to Hamilton-Shea. That would seem to indicate that Bales may have been part of a “crew” of brokers who moved from place to place during the 1990s. However, that could not be independently confirmed.

Thank you Marines, Soldiers and all for having the courage to stand up for this country and her citizens against this Marxist regime… they have long despised those of us who wear or have worn the uniform and sworn the oath.

There’s a far more nefarious reason why Fauxbama has no intention of bringing you home… he knows where you stand, and that you will not stand for this on our soil. He is allowing his adopted “people” open season on you every day, stay safe, come home soon… and kill as many of those backassward muzzies as you can in the meantime.

    # Steve Says:
AND the oath specifically states that we follow LAWFUL orders. In this way we do not become the “simple soldier only doing what he is told” no matter how henious the act. (See Germany circa 1933-1945).

    # Matty Says:
You are all correct. No Marine or member of the military is obligated to follow unlawful orders. Also the oath that we all swore to “support and defend the CONSTITUTION against all enemies, foreign AND domestic!” We will not follow unlawful orders, especially orders that are counter to the Constitution! Our allegiance is not to the President, nor the person in the office, but the Constitution! Nobama is in for a rude awakening if he tries to use his new Executive order from 12 March 2012 in order to impose ‘order’ in the country! (His potential attempt to impose martial law will be unlawful and he will end up in the Brig!)

Acting as a US Army sniper also required a top security clearance, which tells you how well the Army conducts background checks.
I was in, and can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that the military does not make killers of men. Killers are natural borne. I’ve known a few in my day.
There are studies commissioned by the US military that clearly state that only 5 percent of soldiers will pull the trigger on another human, even when faced with certain death.
The fact that Bales volunteered to snipe other humans from hiding tells you that he enjoyed killing, therefore was already endowed with the psychopath gene

    Yes, that’s true. BUT ………..

    You didn’t answer my question.

Why would the US military allow such a criminal within its ranks?

Evidently the US military didn’t have a problem with his past when he was following orders and serving 4 tours of duty, getting blown up and being stationed at an outpost in Afghanistan.

If they didn’t have a problem with his fraud, why should I have a problem with it. What does that have to do with the slaughter of 14 innocent people?

Wall Street dickheads defraud muppets every day. Corzine stole $1.2 billion. I guess our military would welcome him with open arms.

The back story being promulgated by the MSM is supposed to relieve the Military and its leadership from any responsibility in turning this guy into a mass murderer.

I’m a believer that the US military has destroyed thousands of men by putting them in circumstances that would drive any man crazy.

Every person has a breaking point.

This guy was a financial scumbag. I could spit on Wall Street and hit 10 guys that fit that description. Are they about to slaughter people?

    NO.

Well, Jim, you didn’t ask ME the question. You asked flash. He should answer it.

    We had two disagremments.

The 1st was whether or not the fraud charges were legit or dug up dirt. I put that to rest. (Don”t worry. I won’t ask you to cry “uncle”.)

The second was whether or not the military is directly responsible. I answered that. You ignored my response.

Now you introduce a new argument ….. that scam artist = destined to mass murder. How you came to that deduction is way beyond my understanding. They are not related directly, and I never said it was. The connection … if you want to call it that … is that both actions indicate an individual who is seriously fucked up in the head.

Let me ask you a new question. If the military created a mass murderer …. who would you like to blame for Bales being a scumbag broker fraudster?

“Why would the US military allow such a criminal within its ranks? ”

    I don’t know.

A military website says this; “A waiver is required for any applicant who has received a conviction or other adverse disposition for a serious criminal misconduct offense.”

    It then provides a list of what is considered “serious criminal misconduct offense”. It includes;

Aggravated assault, assault with dangerous weapon (brigade-level suitability).
    Arson (brigade-level suitability).
    Attempt to commit a felony.
    Breaking and entering.
    Bribery.
Burglary (possession of tools), to include auto.
    Carjacking.

And that’s only A through C !!! lmao … all of which can be waived!! Fucken A.

Makes sense if you think about. The military kills people and destroys shit ….. one might as well have experience beforehand !

A “normal” person doesn’t do this. He is seriously fucked up in the head.

Doesn’t change my opinion that he must be held accountable. If it were up to me I would issue a “lenient” sentence, meaning, no death penalty. Rather, prison, or psych ward, for life.

Read the quotes from people who knew him in high school, etc. You’re the research guru.

There are thousands of financial wizards who scam people out of money every day. There were even a few mortgage brokers who scammed people.

Half the people on Wall Street, including the top executives, cheat and steal billions. Are they fucked up in the head? If so, than what does that have to do with murder?

You have concluded that Bales was a scumbag so it isn’t a surprise that he went on a murderous rampage.

I conclude that his past as a sumbag broker fraudster has absolutely nothing to do with what happened in Afghanistan. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

The US Military pushed this guy past his breaking point and he snapped. Others have been pushed past their breaking point and end up on drugs, divorced, depressed, homeless, and unemployed.

If this guy had never entered the military he may have ended up in jail for financial fraud.

What odds do you give that he wouldn’t have murdered 14 innocent people if he had never gone into the military?

My guess is that there would have been a 99.999% chance he wouldn’t have become a mass murderer.

The military doesn’t create gang members either , but there the are.

Gangs Increasing in Military, FBI Says
    June 30, 2008
    McClatchy-Tribune Information Services

According to an FBI published report, “gang-related activity in the U.S. military is increasing and poses a threat to law-enforcement officials and national security.”

The report, released in February 2007, noted that members of nearly every major street gang — including MS-13, Bloods, Crips, 18th Street, Hells Angels and various white supremacist groups — have been identified on both domestic and international military bases.

“It really is not secret that gangs are in the Army,” said Hector Ordonez, 39, a former resident of Victorville who was in the Army from 1989 to 1994. “There were a few guys in my unit from Los Angeles and a couple from Chicago.”

You are correct. You never actually said the charges were false. My bad. So solly.

Yessir. I have concluded that Bales was a scumbag. I don’t care what his friends say, so no need to research. He defrauded an old man of his life savings. That we know. It is HIGHLY unlikely he defrauded hust one person. So, yeah, he’s a scumbag.

Therefore, yessir, I am not surprised that he went on a murderous rampage. The guy has serious character and moral issues. So, why should it be a surprise? But, Jim, I never said the fraud caused the rampage..

I didn’t get past the first comment where Mucky noted, “But Vietnam taught the military nothing.”

Oh, really? Who are the National Command Authorities in this country, Muck? Would they be the President and Secretary of Defense? Why, yes, I believe that’s correct.

And where does the military, particularly the Joint Chiefs of Staff, come in vis a vis making a command decision on using military force? An advisory body only. Period. The president makes the decision, and the Secretary of Defense sees that that order is carried out effectively.

Very little is leaked to the public when the President, SecDef, and JCS go behind closed doors on sensitive subjects such as the use of force. Very little. So we rarely ever get any insight on what the Chiefs of Staff may or may not have said to the President and SecDef. All we know is that when the president gives the armed forces the green light, they salute smartly and proceed to go out and do their job as best they can.

Every single senior general officer I ever met during my time in the Air Force, and I met a lot of them, was extremely intelligent and knowledgeable about warfare, past and present. And they were all Vietnam veterans who knew all too well the lessons of Vietnam. None of that matters when the occupant in the White House, backed by Congress, hands you a pig-in-a-poke called Iraq or Afghanistan.

That one is simple – The Draft. Every soldier, sailer, marine, and flier is a volunteer, conned or coerced, but still a volunteer. It’s easy to ignore the human cost of war when the only people fighting and dying waved their hands in the air and said, “Pick me!”
If the draft starts up again, I expect to see the Boomers, and their kids and grandkids, stand up and shout, especially since there IS a generational memory of the protest-power precedent for “ending” wars.

I hope we don’t have to leave that place like we left Viet Nam. Even worse; having to go through Pakistan with them pissed off at us. When politicians inexperienced in war run the show what else do you expect of the military when the situation gets hot? And it appears to be hot right now. The unusual postings included reports that military vehicles were sent to control Changan Street, along with plainclothes police officers and metal barriers.

Another posting quoted internal sources as saying senior Communist Party leaders are divided over the ouster of Mr. Bo. The divide was said to pit Prime Minister Wen Jiabao and against party security forces and Minister of Public Security Zhou Yongkang.

Bales’ wife published a blog where she openly complained her hubby was bitter about not being promoted and they were facing foreclosure.

What if Bales was pushed to commit these dispicble crimes?

Obama and his pupetmasters despise the military. They are nothing more than a.tool for destabili-ng countries rich in oil and other natual resources. Obama is also angling to unionize the military and blend US troops into UN structure.

Back to Bales – what if he was set up or pushed- which would give Obama cover to withdraw from the Good War? What if they want to smear the military as pure psychos? They know they’re losing the military support. Go check out the posts on military message boards – most enlisted despise Obama and openly talk about treason.

Iknow this sounds conspiracy theory nutjob – but something is not right with this story. Obama and his handlers are diobolicle. Think about the timing of Podesta’s visit, disarming Marines, cutback on military benefits, and this horrific crime are all clustered within the same window of opportunity.

I said, “Ummmm sergeant, I don’t know if you’ve glanced through my files or anything, but before I came in the army I was charged with a felony and a misdemeanor. I didn’t go to trial, but I think that they’ll show up on the background check.”

Yeah if you disclose everything, odds are you’ll still have a clearance. You only get disqualified if you try to hide anything from what I understand. Odds are if the question is “How did they dig this up on him so fast?” it’s because the military already has it all on file, and given the fact that I was in the same unit as Pat Tillman, let’s not kid ourselves by thinking that military brass all the way up to the Pentagon and beyond will circle the wagons and try to control the information flow.
