There have been 81 murders in Philadelphia so far this year. We’re on a record setting pace. Since it isn’t politically correct, the Phila Police don’t reveal the racial breakdown of the murderers or the murdered. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that 90% of the murders were committed by black men and 90% of the victims were black. The City of Philadelphia has been in complete control of the Democratic Party since the 1950s. Every law, ordnance, school initiative, tax, and policy put into place in the City of Philadelphia over the last 60 years has been done by the Democratic Party. They have created a murderous, crime ridden, poverty stricken, run down, dying city. And the race who has suffered the most is the black race. They are the ones being murdered. They are the ones not being educated. They are the ones not being employed. Walter Williams wonders why black people would continue to vote for Democrats that have done this to them.
Political Rope-A-Dope

It’s not unreasonable to ask how valuable the variously labeled liberal, Democratic or progressive agenda has been to black Americans and whether blacks should proceed in political lock step with this agenda.
According to an American Community Survey, by the U.S. Census Bureau, the top 10 poorest cities with populations more than 250,000 are Detroit, with 33 percent of its residents below the poverty line; Buffalo, N.Y., 30 percent; Cincinnati, 28 percent; Cleveland, 27 percent; Miami, 27 percent; St. Louis, 27 percent; El Paso, Texas, 26 percent; Milwaukee, 26 percent; Philadelphia, 25 percent; and Newark, N.J., 24 percent.
The most common characteristic of these cities is that for decades, all of them have been run by Democratic and presumably liberal administrations. Some of them – such as Detroit, Buffalo, Newark and Philadelphia – haven’t elected a Republican mayor for more than a half-century. What’s more is that, in some cases for decades, the mayors of six of these high-poverty cities have been black Americans.
You say, “What’s the point, Williams?” Let’s be clear about it. I’m not stating a causal relationship between poverty and Democratic and/or black political control over a city. What I am saying is that if one is strategizing on how to help poor people, he wants to leave off his list of objectives Democratic and black political control of cities. According to Albert Einstein (attributed), the definition of insanity is “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
Crime is one of the results of the liberal agenda. Blacks are 13 percent of the population but are more than 50 percent of murder victims. About 95 percent of black homicide victims had a black person as their murderer. Blacks are not only the major victims of murder but also suffer high victimization rates of all categories of serious violent crime. Most often, another black is the perpetrator.
During the 1960s, academic liberals and hustling politicians told us that to deal with crime, we had to deal with its “root causes,” poverty and discrimination. My colleague Thomas Sowell has pointed out that in 1960, the total number of murders in the United States was lower than in 1950, 1940 and 1930, even though our population had grown and two new states had been added. The liberal agenda, coupled with courts granting criminals new rights, later caused the murder rate to double, and the rates of other violent crimes also began to skyrocket.
Crime imposes a hefty tax on law-abiding residents of black neighborhoods. Residents bear costs of having to shop outside of their neighborhoods; criminals have driven many businesses out. Children can’t play safely in front of their homes. Fearing robberies, taxi drivers, including black drivers, often refuse to accept telephone calls for home pickups and frequently pass black customers by on the street. Neighborhood property values are lower as a result of crime. Plus, there’s the insult associated with not being able to receive pizza or other deliveries on the same terms as people in other neighborhoods.
Often, politicians who call for law and order are viewed negatively, but poor people, particularly poor black people, are the most dependent on law and order. In the face of high crime, wealthier people can afford to purchase alarms, buy guard dogs, hire guards and, if things get too bad, move to a gated community. These options are not available to poor people. The only protection they have is an orderly society.
Democratic and black politicians are beholden to and serve the interests of the powerful vested interest groups, such as labor unions, teachers unions and assorted liberals, not the ordinary people who voted them into office. Otherwise, they wouldn’t begin to allow the rampant crime and nearly systematic destruction of learning opportunities for generations of black children by governmental schools.
None of this is to say that blacks should vote Republican. It is to say that political power doesn’t necessarily translate into economic power and well-being for the ordinary citizen.

A man has been shot in the head and killed during the filming of an amateur rap video in Philadelphia.
The shooting happened Thursday night in front of a crowd of about 100 people. Police say the man was in his late 20s or early 30s.
After he was shot, he was accidentally run over by a car trying to leave the scene. Police say the driver won’t be charged.
Authorities say three gun-wielding men were arrested shortly afterward and one has been identified by witnesses as the shooter.
The motive for the shooting is unclear. Police say they’re unsure if the man killed was the target or if he was a part of the video or a spectator.

The “root causes” of crime is not poverty and discrimination; it is the lack of moral upbringing. Our court system cannot deal with the crime because the aministrative system of positive law is designed around commerce and contracts. The correct system to deal with crime is commonlaw where the victims get compensation from the criminal. The only thing our administrative courts can do is send the criminal to prison to rot mentally.
If we are to fix our problems with crime we have to admit the judicial system is not working good enough and the remedies have to change. When the criminal is forced by the system to compensate the victim then it turns the tables on the criminal and at the same time sends a message to anyone else continplating crime to think twice before acting.
The young have to be taught morals. Without moral values the mind goes rabid and that is what is happening to the youth in the ghettos; their minds are going rabid. What do we do with an animal with a rabid mind? Don’t we kill it? What do we do today with a human mind gone rabid? We send it to jail and it poisons the other minds there. When are we going to wake up and smell the shit around us? We talk about crime, do nothing about it, and when it affects us we blame others and the system. Well blaming the system and others is not going to fix it. We have to speak out with a shout to our family, friends, then to those that make the laws that the laws for dealing with crime have to change. We have to introduce commonlaw back into the court system. Until that happens don’t expect anything to change.
Food for thought: Our secular system of law and goverence now in use is designed around contracts between two or more parties. Breach of contracts are settled by financial compensation. Traffic laws broken are settled by fines. When it comes to criminal acts against someone else where a contract is not involved the system fails the victim. The only remedy is to send the perpetrator to jail where the person only gets worse. The way I see it when a perpetrator injures a victim in some way an involuntary contract is forced upon the victim. This involuntary contract requires compensation by the perpetrator to the victim. In court the victim needs to have the opportunity to demand compensation and get it. If not it is an “eye for an eye.” See how fast the crime rate goes down if we had these remedies for the victims!

Last weekend in the city of Chicago alone, gangbangers slaughtered ten people and wounded another forty. The youngest fatality is only six years old. The youngest person wounded is only one-year-old. Many of the victim were pedestrians sprayed with bullets in drive by shootings. The national news has said nothing about this.
So why does one shooting in Florida warrant weeks of national news? Why has there been thousands of articles a day, for the last four days, about one single shooting?
Almost all of the news items about George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin contains a combination of false statements, opinions presented as facts, transparent distortions, and a complete absence of some of the most relevant details. Almost all news items are written soley from the point of view of the grieving family. The media also fills their articles with outdated baby-faced pictures of Trayvon. Very few include that he was a towering 6’2” football player. Is the media really reporting the news, or is this classic agitation/propaganda to advance a political agenda.
Literally thousands of articles contain at least one false statement in the first couple of lines. They usually read “George ZImmerman, a white man,” or “shoot by a white man.” Zimmerman is described by family as a multiracial Hispanic. His appearance is clearly that of a Latino/Mestizo individual. However, the media wants him to be white because that better fits the political narrative they are trying to artificially create. Many news articles have also claimed the neighborhood is “mostly white.” This is also a lie. The neighborhood is only 49% white. It is over half non-white.
All the way back on February 27th, the local Orlando Fox station interviewed the witness who dialed 911. Almost none of the thousands of articles since have mentioned any of the details described by the witness. Some, however, have attributed false statements to this witness. On March 16th, the Sanford police department released new details to the Orlando Sentinel. Once again, these details have been ignored or changed by the media.
The witness reports that George Zimmerman was on the ground and Trayvon is on top of him punching him.
The witness says that George Zimmerman was screaming and yelling for help.
Police arrive and find Zimmerman bleeding on his face and the back of his head. He also has had grass stains on his back. All this confirms the story told by Zimmerman and the witness.
Police play the 911 tape for Trayvon Martin’s father, who tells police that the voice screaming is not the voice of his son.
The neighborhood this took place in has seen a lot of crime. Would you be surprised to learn that there were eight burglaries, nine thefts, and a shooting just in the past year? In fact, the local homeowners’ association reports that George Zimmerman actually caught one thief and aided in the apprehension of other criminals. The Miami Herald wrote about this on March 17th. None of the thousands of articles and cable news segments that came after, thought this was important.
In fact the Miami Herald goes on to interview neighbor, Ibrahim Rashada, who is black. Rashada confirms that there has been a lot of crime in the neighborhood and indicates to the reporter that the perpetrators are usually black.
The media also characterizes Trayvon as a “model student.” In fact, he under a five day suspension when the shooting took place. That is why he was staying at a house so far from his school on a school night. A laywer for Trayvon’s family has blocked access to his school records. However, you have to do something pretty bad to get suspended for five days.
Now that you know the suppressed facts of the case, you can for form a better more balanced opinion. Maybe you still think Zimmerman was wrong to pull the trigger. However, I think you will come to the conclusion that the “mainstream” clearly is pushing an agenda. Even when they have to grossly alter and adjust a story to fit that agenda.

Recently, I wrote about the media’s handling of the Trayvon Martin shooting. I pointed out that on February 27th, the Fox station in Orlando interviewed the witness who called 911. The article I wrote has received tens of thousands of Facebook shares. It was also quoted at length in a recent AP article that is now syndicated all over the nation.
The witness tells the reporter that he saw Trayvon Martin on top of Zimmerman punching him. He says that Zimmerman is screaming and yelling for help. He tells the reporter that he gave the same information to police.

However, whites outnumber blacks in the population. In fact, non-Hispanic whites are about 69% of the population and blacks are about 13%. These statistics alone, shows that blacks are 13% of the population, but commit 51.2% of the murders, indicate that blacks commit a seriously disproportionate number of murders.”

This is the problem, and the candidates are not being held responsible. Many voters have been brainwashed and they vote their party only, and they do not consider the best candidate for the country. Really, look back over this campaign, the majority of the republicans did not want Mitt Romney as the Republican Presidential Candidate! But significant part of black community is desperate and hopeless in spite of president who won on the promise of hope. Please don t give me a survey claiming 65 % blacks hopeful now. I will believe it when I see real lifestyle change and for Mayor of DC Complains about Asians selling food in their neighborhood . A black social worker complains about Chinese do not hire Blacks in the China town. Should see be asking when someone who came to this country few years ago has thriving business patronized by whites and we do not have a Town with nice Jamaican music ambience of Islands with restaurants and clubs where people can take their family for shopping and an evening out. I am not blaming any one of intentionally keeping people poor and dependent on Government aid. The real problem is these politicians all got rewarded for making noise without doing real work that produces result. Can anyone starting with Obama make a claim that they made life style changes in a neighbor hood which can be a model? I do not think so. My heart goes out to the people who got shot a block from President’ Chicago house and three blocks from the house few week ago and did not get comment from President , Mayor or Jesse Jackson in Chicago The little story below illustrates the heart of the problem. Mitchell who worked with me had talents and skills to be successful in manufacturing company. He was bright and impressed any pone who would talk to him. On his 34 th birth day company had a cake and I told him Mitchell life begins at 34 Create good work record and seek employment in a larger company and make a life for yourself. His response was, maybe it is true where you come from. In my neighbor hood life ends at 35. My cousin got shot uncle got a disease and bunch of my friends are in jail at 34. I asked an Asian immigrant lady sales person about her life in USA. She came about 9 years ago. Bought a home in 5 th year. Two of her children are honor students. She said they are going to be surgeons and the youngest 5 year old is even brighter. I asked what is he going to be. She said he will be the Governor of this state. Immigrants come to USA with a dream and are willing to work for it even today just as early immigrants. They make a life for themselves. Martin Luther King had a dream and it died with him. If he is alive he will be asking what did they do my dream. Black activists, politicians, president and athletes have failed the black society. If you keep saying to a kid you are dumb and stupid. Quite many of the kids will end up being just that. If you keep saying to black you don’t have a chance in the white society they just believe it and do not even try.
