Not according to Karl Denninger and the U.S. Constitution. Will that stop Romney from picking him as VP? Probably not. Romney thinks the Constitution is just a piece of paper, just like Obama. Will the same people who scream about the fact that Obama wasn’t born in the U.S. going to scream just as loud about Marco Rubio? Don’t count on it.
Really.
Here are the facts:
- Rubio was born to two parents who were not citizens at the time of his birth. They were here in the country and he was born here, but his parents were not citizens at the time of his birth.
- At a later date his parents became citizens of the United States.
Marco Rubio is ineligible to be President of the United States under the natural born citizen requirement. He is a citizen but will never be a natural born citizen as he was not at birth due to the Cuban citizenship of his parents and you cannot retroactively acquire natural born citizenship status.
He therefore must not be nominated as VP, since the primary qualification for that office is the ability to stand as President if something happens to the President while he is in office.
The Constitution’s 12th Amendment specifically says:
But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.
I know there are people who think the Constitution shouldn’t read this way on natural born citizenship as a requirement for this office, but it does read this way AND IS WHAT IT IS.
If you want to change this the proper thing to do is to amend The Constitution before you run someone who is currently ineligible. Circumventing it as was done with Obama is wrong, no matter which party does it.
We’ve had enough lawlessness in this country at the top and we are way past the point where we should be tolerating it in any fashion, irrespective of whether you happen to like someone or not.
THE RULE OF LAW MUST STAND ABOVE THE “DIVINE RIGHT OF KINGS” OR THIS NATION IS NO LONGER A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC.

Like he is now. The “in our faces” flouting of the politicians and elites violating the very same laws that they destroy us with, is disgusting, and must be stopped.

It’s not a matter of ‘interpretation’. You are correct that there is no definition of natural born in the Constitution. To the framers that would have made as much sense as a lawmaker today feeling compelled to give a definition of automobile in a piece of legislation. But I digress……..
It’s not a matter of interpretation; it just requires a bit of diligent research to discover that the framers considered it a commonly understood term. The original draft of that particular section of the Constitution read ‘citizen’ and it was changed, for a specific reason, to natural born. If memory serves it was John Jay who pointed out the neccessity of the term ‘natural-born’ being used.

“No person except a natural born Citizen, ***or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution,*** shall be eligible…”
BTW, all the founding fathers, with only one exception, were born on American soil. These guys were very particular with their choice of words – if “Natural Born Citizen” simply meant born on American soil, they would not have needed the extra wording to include Citizens at the time of adoption.

This can only mean that establishment republicans have gotten to him with some form of bribe, in return for something that he wants. On the other hand, no one could flip this quickly unless they were hiding who they were in the first place. Either way, prince Rubio is finished in the eyes of true conservatives and tea party members when they hear what he is proposing. And I was fooled into thinking that he was the “real deal”. My bad!! I guess the moral of the story is that “WE CAN’T TRUST ANY OF DIRT BAG POLITICIANS!”

If George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson—who were born before the US was created—were eligible, then the term ‘natural born’ is probably taken to mean ‘born on American soil.’ In that sense, then, Rubio is eligible, but Obama still hasn’t proven he was born here. Are we do for a big surprise announcement in 2017 after Obama steps down—assuming he does step down and the Country is still in one piece.

The other issue try reading article 2 section 5 of the constitution it clearly states that that no person except a natural born citizen can be president! A statutory citizen (bestowed by man’s pen) can never be a “natural born” citizen (bestowed by God/nature).

Ronald Reagan had no choice about his citizenship. By blood and by place of birth, he was a “natural born” American citizen. No law bestowed his citizenship upon him. His father was an American. His mother was an American. He was born in America. He was a “natural born” American.
As a “dual citizen,” Barack Obama had choices about his citizenship. His father was a Kenyan. His mother was an American. He was born in America. He was a “native born,” 14th Amendment American citizen. He was also a citizen of Kenya and a British subject — he had choices about being a Brit, an American, a Kenyan or combination. According to the U. S. State department, dual nationals owe allegiance to both the United States and the foreign country.
For each presidential candidate, they can put the factual history of their birth in the equation and see if they fit the bill to be president of the U.S. under the Constitution of the United States of America, Article II, Section 1, Clause 5, and the 14th Amendment, Section 1, and the relevant federal law under Minor v. Happersett, (1874), U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649 (1898), and Perkins v. Elg, 307 U.S. 325 (1939).

He seems to have the very same story that Marco Rubio has; but as you know the Republican GOP Establishment continue to shove down the throats of American Voters the same old worn out and corrupt politicians, or ineligible people.
Folks Hillary Clinton is not ever going to get in there and most definitely not Joe Biden; so the Democrat Party is going to be so askewed that you are going to see them lose any standing they have in the upcoming election. If they continue to push for Clinton, they will be pushing for a cooey practice and prose of this president’s illegal issues.
For those of you who don’t know and Clinton was absolutely unequivocally no ifs ands or buts about it involved in the Benghazi murders that this president seems to be skirting thanks to a brainless media and press who don’t realize that at anytime he could write off their Freedom of Press by Executive Order. He has already done it by “shutting them out” of several big news headlines.
Because the president was losing in the Polls (yes really) and losing people showing up in his Campaign rallies; behind the scenes where there was no propaganda but the facts, things were dire. He had to have something, anything to create a Crisis (“you never let a crisis go to waste” Rahm Emmanuel & Obama Administration, Nov 21, 2008) so they created one. They made up a “staged fake kidnapping using an important date coming Sept 11, 2012, which they were saying in the news “look for an October surprise”. It was planned folks, and Hillary Clinton used her friend Ambassador Christopher Stevens who she knew she could get to do his “Patriotic” duty for the president. They assured “Big name” Ambassador Stevens that he would be safe. He was “Gunrunning for the Obama Administration out of Libya where they were shipped into under Ambassador Stevens and then out through Turkey into Syria.” Totally an impeachable offense against this president because Congress is supposed to be informed. They were not in this case with the mess that the Administration was involved in which finally led to the murders of four Americans. This was okay with Hillary Clinton and the others in his Administration because they believed he had it all under control. “What difference does it make” yelled Hillary in Congressional hearing. Four Americans DEAD at the hands and whims of a losing president in the 2012 election. (The election results is yet another story in the “fraud upon the People”.)
If they were as “Transparent” as they propagandize, you would find out that Christopher Stevens himself was Gay and promised by Obama that there would be some considerations for him if he could “just get this done”. This is information that is coming out of the ranks of some military members and staff that were involved in all of this mess. Christopher Stevens told them numbers of times that he did not feel safe or secure and that he needed more security; but the White House had a different idea. They believed that if “too many people knew about the charade and fake staged kidnapping” it could leak to the Media. If through “transparency” (just a phoney word to take your off the Obama Administration beaten path) you were to find out that several Muslim leaders came to the White House in July and August to get the “gunrunning program” and the security for the fake kidnapping wrapped up. Here’s the dig, however. Those weapons that were in Libya under the Ambassador were known to several sects of radical Muslims for Jihad. For those of you who don’t know what this is exactly; in a nutshell it is “a holy war against anyone who is not a believer of Islam”. They wanted those weapons. Simple as that. You think there is any love loss for Americans by radical terrorist muslims?
So okay, here we have an Ambassador calling for help and inside of eleven hours, the Administration permits four Americans to die at the hand of violent Jihadist criminals? Obama called for a “stand down” to two of the Senior level Military Officers, Admiral Ouellette and General Ham, yes and others who could rescue our Americans. No, instead in real time the Administration watched the horror on the screen of sacrificial lamb Ambassador Christopher Stevens and fellow Americans. Stevens just became a casualty in the “Staged fake gone bad kidnapping” that was supposed to make the president look like he rescued “the Benghazi Hostages”.
Under this heading of “Ineligible” for Vice President or President of the United States of America ~~ the afore read is what you get from the likes of this illegal president.
