OBAMA USING YOUR TAX DOLLARS TO PROMOTE GREATER FOOD STAMP USAGE

Obama is so proud of his most successful government program that he is using $3 million of your tax dollars to enroll even more people in SNAP. He isn’t satisfied spending $72 billion of your tax dollars so obese cretins in West Philly can gorge themselves on potato chips, soda, candy, and fudge brownies. I observe the people on food stamps every damn day as I drive through West Philly. There ain’t no starving people. The average weight of these SNAP recipients is about 250 pounds.

I thought we were in the 3rd year of economic recovery. I thought all these stimulus measures were designed to get us through the Crisis and then would be scaled back. That is what Obama and Krugman told me in 2009. When does their Crisis end? It never ends. This is the liberal agenda. It is a parasitic organism that grows and grows, like the tape worm in the stomachs of the obese SNAP participants.

This advertising program couldn’t be related to the upcoming election. Could it?

Obama Wants You on Food Stamps

Melissa Melton
June 30, 2012

If the Supreme Court upholding Obamacare left Americans with any doubts we are officially living in a debt-fueled social welfare state, the Obama Administration recently spent three million dollars to convince us we will all live healthier lives if we sign up for food stamps.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has been running a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) propaganda campaign for several months now. Primarily aimed at Hispanics, the elderly, and the working poor and unemployed, ads include radio segments claiming that food stamps help beneficiaries “eat right”:

Woman #1: “I wonder how she stays so fit, what’s her secret?”
Woman #2: “Well she told me that food stamp benefits help her eat right, and she stays active too.”

(The full commercials may be heard here.)

Food stamp guidelines only require that items purchased with stamps are designated as “food for home consumption”. It should be noted the USDA does not station enforcement officers at grocery stores to ensure food stamp recipients’ shopping carts are filled with vegetables instead of potato chips.

Reality apparently aside, food stamp use has skyrocketed 100 percent in President Obama’s America, no doubt due in part to his stimulus act which made it easier for adults without jobs or children to receive food stamp aid. Obama also increased the total allotted benefit amount by 15 percent. Meanwhile, American poverty figures are absolutely staggering. A full third of the country’s population are considered working poor. One out of every seven Americans is on food stamps now, the highest number since the program’s inception. In fact, the USDA doled out $75 billion dollars in food stamps throughout fiscal year 2011, more than double the $34.6 billion spent in 2008.

The county is ripe with economic strife. Our national deficit is nearly $16 trillion dollars. While $3 million must seem like a drop in the bucket, federally funded food stamp advertisements raise an obvious and troubling question. At a time when more people than ever before are relying on the government to buy their food, why in the world would the USDA spend millions in an attempt to boost enrollment in an already overburdened program?

According to Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, food stamps actually stimulate the economy and create jobs:

Nancy Pelosi shared Vilsack’s sentiment at a press conference back in 2010 when she claimed, “It is the biggest bang for the buck when you do food stamps and unemployment insurance.”

Following this logic, if more people are on food stamps than ever, then more people should be employed than ever, right? That must be why we have the highest long-term unemployment rates since the Great Depression.

The USDA’s radio ads are part of a newly released community outreach toolkit which its website explains is meant to “improve existing SNAP outreach to those who are eligible but not participating in the program.” This kit also includes a series of flyers that suggest “fresh ideas” to garner local offices more aid recipients, such as throwing food stamp “parties,” complete with entertainment and food stamp info-themed BINGO games.

Sounds super fun, right? Perhaps one of the game card squares should read “Road to American Serfdom.”

As an added bonus to all these parasites and their snap cards, it’s damn near impossible to go to the grocery store and find what you need from the first until about the fifth of the month. Fucking leeches.

Using tax dollars to get more people on SNAP, and spend more tax dollars

Using tax dollars for parasite government employee union dues, to spend more tax dollars.

Spending $72 billion to increase obesity, to spend $200 billion on healthcare costs for the obese.

Makes sense to me. It’s called socialism, without the nasty connotation.

Obama reading the book “After America.”

“The picture taken by an American journalist from the New York Times, zooming on Obama as he left the plane, sparked controversy about the U.S. president Obama reading the book titled “The world after the end of America.” This controversial book speaks about the end of the American empire, Freemasonry, and the rise of another country in the Middle East that will destroy America and her Israel. The book talks about the clear signs that America will end soon, replaced by an Islamic state on its ruins. It seems that Obama is very interested in knowing how the U.S. will end, as described by the author named Rafiq Zakaria. A Muslim from India and an editor at Newsweek, Fareed Zakaria describes in his book a vision of the Muslim world after the United States.”

Technically socialism is where the people own the means of production.

People make a choice of what to eat.To help people is a good.Mabe there needs to be more oversite into what can be purchased.Staples like Beans and rice, milk and butter. No precooked and packaged foods. My neighbors all eat food out of as box that goes in a microwave.
Ive said this here before, its hard to get upset when i see the amount spent on the military.
Right now we are staging ships for war,the amount of money being spent overseas, and given as foreign aid is obscene. How many drones have been ordered?and at what cost?
I dont like seeing people go hungry.Mabe soon the government well collapse and hungry people well be our problem. My dad has seen starving people,he says they are scary.Ready to kill people to feed their kids.

obviously none of you have been in a situation where there were no options, I am a mother, i have 2 children, both disabled, I have been looking for work for 9 months, we get 309.00 in food stamps, a month, not everyone on food stamps is obese! and an observation so generalized is insulting at best!… dead beat dads aren’t the best resource for these situations, that issue is never addressed when it comes to goverment assistance! would it be cheaper and produce more productive families to live in homeless shelters? the money for food assistance that we get, is equivalent to about 10 min. of work by 1 congressman.

and to TG….you sound like one of those charming “christians” that picket funerals against gay people, make fun of the disabled, and hate in general..what are you? like 14? live the life of unemployment, and then take the first job that pays minimum wage to support a small family, you need to walk in poverty to know what those shoes feel like!

karen, obviously you don’t know of which you speak.

I was once on the welfare. The year was 1983, there were NO jobs – not even McJobs – and once you found a dime from any source, they took away two of theirs. For a family of three, a gross income (and fed taxes were much higher than now, SS was lower) of $100 a week cut you off entirely. My rent was $350 a month plus utilities.

Know what? We did what we had to do to survive. And when we were cut off and still hungry, we went forth – in a shit economy – and found ways to make enough money to survive. Even if it meant no cable, no phone and keeping the heat at 65 degrees.

I know that things are tough now, and getting tougher. Trust me, I know better than many.

But here are a few reality checks for ya’

If you feed a man, most men lose all drive to do anything more. Proven by every multi-generational welfare family in this country. We have people going back five and six generations that have never produced an ounce of effort to feed and house themselves. Why do people insist on defending this? Don’t work, don’t eat, the way of the REAL world and returning soon to a Suburban Hell near you.

People that are two-hundred pounds overweight, did not get that way off only eating on foodstamps. Which means that they ARE able to feed themselves. We are just paying for extra calories and luxuries. We also are paying to move them from “able” to work to SSDI, where we will pay, and pay, and pay.

If you rely on another (especially a cold, faceless, ever-encroaching, jack-booted, bureaucratic, evil government) to feed you (and wrap you in ‘health’care), you give up your right to make your own decisions and you WILL be subjected to continuous harassment under threats of taking away your free stuff.

Now, having said all that, here is what I’m going to close with:

Karen, I’m sure you work hard, I’m sure times are freaking tough, I’m sure you have a shrinking paycheck with increasing expenses (as we all do), so, go ahead and keep your free shit, know that there are millions (and millions) of others drawing free shit.

Know that the millions and millions paying so that you and everyone else (from the big banks to the crack hos) can keep their free shit and government corruption profits is dwindling as human nature wins (once again) and the job-creators and innovators give up and go on the free shit dole while it lasts.

If you can’t beat them, join them.

Bonus deal, it will only help to hasten our demise. Which will be brutal, but is absolutely necessary.

And man how I feel sorry your kids futures – and mine – as they are going to be the ones left paying for our insanity. Thanks for dropping by.
