The Cradle of Civilization. Planning a relaxing vacation to the beautiful Greek Isles in the near future? Bring flame retardant clothing. Five years ago the Greek people were as happy as a pig in shit. Their interest rates were 3%. Their entitlement state was idyllic. Things can change quickly. Remember that.

    Admin,
Sorry to place this here since it is not related but I don’t know how else to get it to you or Mary Malone.

Washington state came to a happy conclusion/ruling on MERS fraud. The link is below

You are right, it can all fall apart very quickly, from the “cradle” to the “casket”. Maybe bringing in another puppet leader would do the trick.

Looks like the UC Davis students who got pepper-sprayed last year are going to see some compensation, $30,000.00 each, and the whole ridiculous episode is going to end up costing the university around $2 million when all is said and done.

Good thing they have so many overpaid, overpensioned public employees to clean up the mess.

People get pretty pissed when the entitlements run out. When the government can’t spend any more German Euros, or anybody else’s money, can’t borrow or deficit spend any more, this is what happens. We’re about 2 years behind Greece, by most estimates. I don’t think we have that long. I can’t wait to see 30 million public employees without their $100k a year salaries and million dollar pensions burning down the house, with the help of the FSA.

AWD – the North bankrolled the South (extended credit, got them heavily into debt) in order that the South buy the North’s products. The crybabies who made all the bad loans want 100 cents on the dollar, and they’re not going to settle for less. Would you loan money to a bad bet? I didn’t think so. Even if you did, you wouldn’t continue making loans to them when you saw they weren’t paying. But you might do it if you made out like a bandit all the way along, and THEN wanted your original loan back to boot.

100 cents on the dollar isn’t going to work. You lend to idiots, you be lucky to get a few cents back.

In fact, in an “I use you/you use me” scenario, probably 50 cents on the dollar is about right. Both sides had their fun. Now it’s time to eat shit. But don’t expect one side is going to roll over and lose all.

This is all about bailing out the banks on the backs of the people. It won’t work.

I don’t know why everybody is freaking out over a bacon shortage… I see plenty of piggies on fire. The tear gas is just a nice seasoning effect.

The Greeks have lived off other people’s money for decades. The other people finally stopped paying. Oops for Greece.

Cracks me up a picture of two people making love is deemed pornographic and obscene. Yet no one comments at a photo showing row after row of human corpses that have obviously been burned by napalm or something like it. This is a really F-ED up world we are living in, a portrayal of love is obscene and a portrayal of murder is not commented on.

And here in the US children are being turned away from homeless shelters: http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2012/sep/26/new-york-homeless-children-rise

Almost 20,000 children are spending the night in homeless shelters in New York City, according to new data, an increase of 24% since July 2011.

The Coalition for the Homeless, which published the figures, said the number of children in shelters would be even higher were it not for the fact that 65% of homeless families seeking admission to shelters are being turned away.
