Last week, when hundreds of thousands of people in Madrid, Barcelona and throughout Spain protested, rioted, rebelled and called for the forced resignation of every one of their parliamentary representatives and the formation of a new government, the silence from global mainstream media was deafening.
With jobless rates for those between the ages of 20 and 35 exceeding 50%, further social spending measures promised by the government, and tens of billions in handouts being transferred to large financial institutions in the broader Euro Zone, those impoverished by the economic collapse of the last four years would not be silenced.
They took the streets in droves. They rushed their parliament building, forcing representatives to barricade themselves inside. They confronted their government head on.
And for their transgressions, they were indiscriminately fired upon, beaten, and bloodied by riot police; men, women, young, old, it mattered not to the policing arm of the global elite.
Let this be a warning, America, because these riots will soon be making their way across the Atlantic ocean to our shores.

The people of Europe have not yet seen the full brunt of their government’s capabilities. Neither have Americans.
We need only look to the middle east for a taste of what is to come should things really go critical. As we noted during the Egyptian uprising last year, it is best to stay home once the rioting starts (graphic video), because bullets will be flying and government enforcement officials will stop at nothing to regain control.
Do not make the mistake of thinking that police or military personnel will take the side of the American people. Some may. But history and current events suggest otherwise – of course they will fire on American citizens. And if you’re caught out in the open, you’ll be on your own.
We know the US government considers those attending any anti-government gatherings, whether they be Occupy or Tea Party protests, to be activities related to domestic terrorism. For now, the police have been subdued compared to the actions of their counterparts in Europe, but so too have America’s protesters.
But when those 100 hundred million Americans dependent on government re-distributions have their benefits cut as has been done throughout Europe recently, or prices for essential goods like food and gas reach levels that make them impossible to acquire by the majority, we can fully expect a total breakdown of law and order, especially in America’s major metropolitan areas.
What’s different about America compared to Europe, however, is that our government is actively preparing for this contingency, having introduced laws through legislative action, as well as by executive order, that are specifically designed to stifle free speech in public areas, detain indefinitely and reeducate those who act against the national interests of the United States, and eliminate permanently those who cannot be pacified.
Government plans for mass casualty events are being enacted as we speak, and domestic policing forces are stocking up on riot gear and hundreds of millions of rounds of ammunition.
They know it’s coming.

Americans are heavily armed unlike Europeans. Americans will use their weapons on police forces that abuse their communities. Police live locally and have families in these communities. Police will not sacrifice their families for some jerk politician in D. C.
The U. S. military will not gun down innocent Americans on a large scale basis. The troops will not shoot their own citizens. Officers at the junior level will not obey orders to do so because they are trained to think for themselves and adapt. Senior officers are boot lickers for politicians but are few in number and easily disposed of. Senior officers will not sacrifice their families either.
Europeans have a centuries-long history of willful obedience to central authority. Americans do not.

I’m not so sure. I think that in a SHTF scenario that the cops are not my friends particularly.
The military I’m not sure about. But my personal retreat is only a few miles from the largest Cavalry (read Tank) base in the US. My small arms aren’t going to help much against their firepower if they are ordered to kill me and take my hard earned food.
My opinion is that we really lost the right to bear arms sometime back. The Second Amendment, as i recall it, has language about the right to form a well-armed militia. To do that today, we wouid need weapons that are denied us already. What we have left are antique blunderbusses, figuratively speaking. No match for the cops or the military.

I do worry about the cops in a SHTF scenario. Some of the ones around here are just an armed part of the 47%, to my way of thinking.
The military I’m not so sure about. My personal retreat is only about 15 or 20 miles from the largest Cavalry (read tank) base in the country. You know the one….where the Muslim shrink shot all those people? My small arms are not goingt to help me if they advance on my position. I’d be toast before I could bend over and kiss my ass goodbye.
My studied opinion is that we really lost the right to bear arms a long time ago. The Second Amendment has language, as i recall, that speaks to being able to form a well-armed militia. What i can buy amounts to antique blunderbusses, figuratively speaking. I will shoot if threatened, though. But I don’t have as much ammo as the DHS, since i have to pay for theirs and mine too.

Hugo Chavez´s electoral victory is (to me at least) a clear sign that the FSA will side with the power structure and the middle class will not be able to mount an effective resistance. Me, I’m moving my preps up to Defcon 3, as was done on 22 Oct 1962, fifty years ago, when the US went through what has come to be known as the Cuban Missile Crisis, an event I remember well, because my classmates and I wondered if we were on our way to crispy-critterhood. My own Defcon 3 means, basically, start stockpiling big-time and increase plantings in a hurry.

Those cops, if they were cops, were making an effort to not hit people in the head thogh a few did clearly take a blow or two to the head.
Based on my experience living in Spain, those cops were not Guardia Civil which was a good thing for the protestors. When the World Cup was held in 1982, I witnessed the Guardia Civil aiming and connecting with heads of the British soccer hooligans. Teeth were knocked out and skulls were cracked.
I witnessed the same thing while waiting to see Iron Maiden in concert. My friends and I were the very first people in line and a few borachos (drunks) showed up feeling no pain. Before long, they were throwing glass bottles at cars driving by. Guardia Civil shows up and starts crushing skulls as fast as they could. I crawled about a block and a half on my knees to avoid getting hit. People were dropping like flies.
I agree that when shit gets started here it will in fact be brutal. I’m curious what media coverage will be allowed or shown. As Screech says, we are an armed populace. That is a pretty unique thing in the world and it will be damned interesting to see how it plays out. My stomach turns just thinking about it.
I’d love to see Judge Napolitano and other judges start asking some hard questions of our politicians regarding things like NDAA, FEMA camps, the large purchases of hollowpoint/fragmenting type ammo, preps for mass casualties and all the other disturbing things that we are all aware of. I’d like to know from the LEO that visit this site, what, if anything that have been told or trained for regarding riots and rioters.
I still think our best and perhaps only chance is through peaceful protests and demands that the Constitution be upheld. If shit starts out violet it will likely remain that way.
I fucking hate this shit and I hate the fact that I/we even have to contemplate these things!
