A gas tanker that exploded killing three firemen in central China on Saturday was still burning a day later, Chinese state television reported on Sunday. The tanker overturned on Saturday morning on the Changde-Jishou Expressway in Huaihua City, in the Yunling county area of Hunan Province. The firemen were killed when the tanker exploded after they had arrived to deal with the overturned vehicle. Surveillance footage shows the tanker lying at the side of the road next to a tunnel entrance, with several fire engines parked nearby. There is a sudden explosion, sending a huge cloud of white smoke surging down the highway.
