Delegates to the Dimocratic Convention – watch and weep!

This one is a heart breaker. It will either make you weep or laugh hysterically. I laughed for 10 seconds then stopped and went into “this cannot be true” mode and swore up and down that if the people interviewed by Peter Schiff on this short video were for real, we are indeed – beyond doubt – doomed no matter what we do.

These short interviews illustrate the most ignorant and awful idiocy that I have ever seen and heard and highlights the non-informed and mis-informed  stupidity that exists today among many people – not just Dimocrats.

Remember all these people are delegates to the Democratic National Convention and as such, of course, selected Obummer for their idol and candidate.

I would love to know what Pres. Obummer would honestly say if he were to view these interviews and listen to his constituents’ views on how goods and services are created and corporate profits are treated.

This was posted on Peter’s site last month but did not get nearly the exposure it deserved there. I’d like Admin to keep this on the Post List for a little while and give all our browsers an opportunity to see it before it scrolls off into Post Hell.

I can’t even say “Enjoy!” for it will make you gag in the first few minutes and you won’t believe your ears..

THE BITTER END

Thanks for posting this video. Nice catch.

It seems to me that perhaps these people are like the ignorant masses in the Middle East. The masses turn to Islam as a reaction to living under brutal dictators who keep them downtrodden, uneducated, and unable to understand how the world works. Out of their ignorance and despair they turn to extremist religious views.

I wonder if these people aren’t similar. They live in a crony capitalist state with terrible public education, listening to “information” on the mainstream news that is just gobbledygook designed to turn your brain to mush. So they are easy to manipulate.

I bet that if you could go to a rural farming community 150-200 years ago and essentially ask the same question – whether people or companies can keep the profits from their labor – you would get very different responses, because people were not so divorced from manual labor that they owned and from which they directly “profited”.

    It’s quite sad, actually.

You NAILED it. That is not an exaggeration. It may even be too mild. In a very real sense, that may very well be one of the most depressing videos ever posted here, for it shows the real mentality of at least half the population…… the half I have often said I despise and have zero in common with. Thanks for re-validating my sentiments. If — and it’s a huge if — America ever hopes to recover from this current economic mess, it won’t be because of these assholes, except if they are all wacked. lol

Millions of assholes watch Honey Boo Boo. That abomination of a “sport”, professional wrestling, is one the most watched and profitable in America. Millions of people watch “Christian” TV, and donate literally billions of dollars to hucksters like TBN’s Paul Crouch, whose message really is like that of the Democratic Party if you think about it …. you’ll get tons and tons of free shit from Jeebus if you just give us a little bit of your moohlah. America, not only an economic Wasteland, but a cultural one as well.

To be fair, though, Peter Shiff should have also done such an interview at the Republican convention. Are they any better? They probably wouldn’t agree to ban “profits”, … they would just agree to bomb the shit out of any country for any reason so that profits to America would increase. Just a different kind of cocksucker, that’s all.

Seriously and honestly … I’m guessing the absolute maximum number of people in this country who are “normal” is no greater than 10%. And the “exceptional” ones are no more than 2%, so, we TPBers have a shit load of work ahead of us if we want to save this country.

This is absurd. Obviously these people are idiots, but if you truly don’t believe that corporations are the root cause of most of the problems in this country, you are living under a rock. Corporations are psychopathic entities that charter gives them the right to put profit above all else. They have the same rights as people, yet when they commit a crime they rarely are punished. When is the last time you saw a corporation put to death for crimes against humanity? Why is this?

Because they own the criminal politicians and help keep in place the farce that we call elections. What is the solution? God only knows, I’m sure he will arrive shortly to straighten things out given the current situation. To me, its obvious that corporations hold FAR to much power and many should be broken up, or have there charters stripped from them.

Our leaders are psychopaths and corporations are psychopaths and we wonder why there are so many problems in our country. What should a person expect given who is in charge.

    Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 6 Thumb down 2

It’s all about status. Just as in Venezula and Bolivia it’s about who rules not what rules.

I wanted everyone to see the absolute limitless depths of human ignorance when I posted this, not really thinking about the “non-person” corporations or the philosophy that drives them. That philosophy is, of course, money and profits and high pay for the executive suite.

But any and all corporations (with one huge and ugly exception) can only make money if they provide something – goods or services – that someone is willing to purchase.

The ULGY EXCEPTION are those corporation sucking off the public (Government) teat that have to have political pull rather than a productive output. These ugly exceptions have been – since 1970 – and are today growing in size and numbers. Those corporations that are not on the dole (i.e. government contracts – defense – welfare – subs for TSA and FEMA, etc.) are feeling ever increasing pressure because the consumer model in this (and most other countries) is D-E-A-D and without someone to buy a product, there can be no producer.

This is our future as the Boomer Bubble passes through the gut of American demographics and is eventually expelled, leaving behind huge debts and canyons full of destruction behind them for their children and grandchildren to wade around in.

Sad. I’m glad old Muck will be gone (hopefully) before the worst is upon us.

@Hollow man: Those people being interviewed are neither Socialist or Communist. They are uneducated in the TRUTHS of economics. They are obviously college educated, having had at least one Econ 101 under their belt. Sadly the Econ 101 was taught by teachers that have no clue what capitalism really means, do not understand one iota about productivity, are among the ignorant as far as “profit” is concerned and what it means and what it enables.

They are simply tiny little bits of the masses and ignorant. To our despair and their eventual disconnect and downfall..

It’s not only profit, these bozos have NO idea what money really is.

I sense when the word corporation is said, they image a big black monolith multinational — when the reality is, 90% of businesses in the U.S. are (or were) small, average 20 employes, and probably a significant number are corporations.
