    “Every president faces trouble.
    “Few have faced so many,” Four years later, our enemies have been brought to justice. Our heroes are coming home. Assembly lines are humming again. There are still challenges to meet. Children to educate. A middle-class to rebuild. But the last thing we should is turn back now.”

    Dear Leader

    A few more days without basic services, and the sanitation and sewer issues will be more than an annoyance.

    Mr.Lahey: You feel that Randy?
    Randy: What, Mr.Lahey?
    Mr.Lahey: The way the shit clings to the air.
    Randy: What Mr.Lahey?
    Mr.Lahey: Randy m’boy, it’s already started.
    Randy: What’s started, Mr.Lahey?

    Just wait, a few more days without heat, gasoline, electricity, food deliveries, abundant fresh water and that whole area will devolve into some degree of anarchy.

    Waste sanitation is serious issue. I have considered ordering two toilets like this online for my small home if water pressure shuts down. Install them on my back patio and have at it. Everything you need to know about crap/simple portable crappers is at this link:

    Want to know the other serious issue that our politically correct reporters would NEVER report on?

    Feminine hygiene supplies and Midol. It has always shocked me how few women hoard/stock up on items they HAVE to have for 1/4 of the month. Just WTF ladies?

    I bet you could make a killing off a semi-truck full of tampons and maxi-pads.

    Maddie’s Mom, amen.

    Which is another reason I keep a nice stock of plastic shopping bags, they’re not just for dog poo anymore.

  12. TeresaE says:

    @MM, are you kidding woman?

    You have a GOLDMINE. Imagine what you would give away to get your hands on a box if you needed them.

    I’ve already got patterns and material to make hundreds (if not more) of reusable cloth pads.

    Plus my own stash, which I keep stocked and panic if it starts to get low.

    Feminine hygiene stuff will be worth its weight in food, or gold. Keep it dry (I’d throw it in an attic in contractors bags) and even give it away out of the goodness of your heart, use them as bandages or urinary incontinence pads, or sell/trade them to survive – or hopefully make a buck.

    So don’t feel you wasted your money, you’ve just invested in your prepping supplies!…lol

    @TeresaE,

    Oh yeah! That stuff isn’t going anywhere.

    We have a daughter so I will probably continue to add to what I already have (I’m sure she’s not doing it.) As you point out, there are several good reasons to do so.

    I watch a little bit of Doomsday Preppers now and then and I’ve never heard the subject brought up. I guess it’s taboo. ;-/
