    Reportedly, this woman and her husband have 2 sons ages 6 & 4. She first met Patraeus in 2006, and subsequently spent a year embedded and in bed with him in a war zone in Afghanistan, and who knows how much time following him around and writing this book. You do the math – at a time when she should have been completely focused on her own precious infants, she was going into a war zone in a flak jacket and swinging off Patraeus’ jock. Meanwhile, who was bondig with, raising, caring for, and protecting her children during their most vulnerable, dependent, and impressionable state of life? Certainly she was not.

    She is being described in the media as a “high achiever”, but it seems to me that when it comes to the most important challenge in her life – being a mother – that she is a pathetic underachiever who has been unwilling to make personal sacrifices for the sake of her children. Somebody else could go to the war zone and put their life at risk. Somebody else could write a fawning account of a bigwig. Nobody else can ever replace your own mother. 20, 30, 40 years from now, when this scandal and her book are just minor footnotes to history, her sons will still be damaged by not having a competent, committed, loving mother present and accountable in their lives when they needed her the most. Those years of early development can never be replaced or compensated for. Her poor children wil also still be shamed by her slutting around, and carry that in their hearts long after the rest of the world no longer gives a shit. Way to go Paula, you fucking loser. Feminism is a lie, you can’t “have it all”, something has to suffer – and women like this one choose to let their children suffer in the name of “achievement” and “equality”. The choice to bring children into the world requires complete commitment and and willingness sacrifice yourself. Motherhood requires tenacity, endurance, and strength of character beyond any other “job” in this world. This bitch is just a selfish failure with delusions of grandeur which her children will shatter for her in due time.

    Anonymous…you’re spot on. There’s a massive amount of noise going on here and that’s classic distraction. This event is epic huge if we’re ever allowed to peak behind the curtain and we sure won’t be given that opportunity on CNN. I suspect we’re dealing with a disasterous failed Middle East foreign policy that’s falling apart in batches and Petraeus is one of those batches. He’s being cut off for fear his testimony will bring this house of cards down. And God does it ever deserve to be brought down. I’ll never believe that a General of his stature would have abandoned his people…just doesn’t hold together. Then he throws his wife under the bus…no way Jose.
