NEVER REALIZED HOW MANY GOVERNMENT DRONES ARE DRIVING ON THE ROAD EVERY DAY

I zipped into work this morning. Every organization that actually produces something is open today. It seems the only people not working are government drones. They get to produce nothing while at home today, as opposed to their normal producing nothing while occupying government offices across the land. The traffic appeared to be 30% lighter than normal. I never realized there were so many government drones on the road every day. It was almost as luxurious as having wide lanes.

No doubt. The largest employer where I live is state government. I can always tell when it’s Friday because there’s no traffic on the roads. One hand washes the other, but I don’t know which goobermint intelligence monkey that is.

it really is amazing how horrible it is.
A few years back I lived in south central PA and commuted to camp hill for a year. The interchange points where 83 adn 581 meet is atrocious like most roads/interchanges in PA. I fought the crowds of drones driving into harrisburg every morning and every nite, it was 30 miles of almost 100% highway driving that took 50 mins, pathetic. Veterans day was the first “holiday” for me that year. I accidently overslept and left the house 20 mins late. I was less than 5 mins late for work that morning. The roads were empty compared to a normal day. I started to look forward to govt holidays because I knew they would be the best commuting days of the year.
that was when i realized how ridiculous the govt employment situation is. THese stupid agencies were open the exact hours everyone productive was on the job. These places had no concept of flexible work hours etc and these mindless drones were fine sitting in traffic I guess.
They were already stealing tax money but with the traffic they created they were also stealing 45mins to an hour of my life every day. There is no hope for them not being leeches but I would prefer them to just stay home every day.
Glad to say I don’t do that commute anymore.

We don’t have as many fed.gov leeches as most states, so our traffic is bad most of the time, cuz everybody in Houston is working their asses off.

HOWEVER, the Houston Metroplex has basically doubled the roadage in the last years, all with non-union workers and all under time/budget, heh.

And I don’t have to worry about a huge population of the FSA waiting to do a Reginald Denny on me.

    Admin, you need to MOVE.

Around Washington I noticed all these big construction projects in the Virginia suburbs. I asked my father about them and he said they were new Federal government office buildings. I asked what was wrong with the grand buildings they had used for years over in the District. He said they could not be made ‘secure’ so new buildings were being constructed out in the suburbs that had large setbacks and controlled access.

Of course, Washington real estate is pretty pricey these days too. Well beyond the means of a government drone unless you want to live in Anacostia and dodge gunfire from the underclass. It is also a tough commute as government kept on getting bigger but the bridges and highways into DC didn’t. So I suspect, once again, ‘national security’ is being used as a phony excuse to conceal the real reason for these outside the beltway federal office buildings. I mean are foreign terrorists likely to attack the Department of Agriculture or blow up the Department of Education? OTOH, moving the bulk of those agencies labor force out closer to their homes is more convenient for them AND relieves traffic congestion for the big wigs of those agencies who will still work downtown at the more impressive original buildings.

You want to see the disgusting worthlessness of our Federal Leviathan and their vastly over-paid drones at work; this one takes the cake:

They should give government drones a permanent vacation, ie, fire the worthless POS. They consume vast resources and produce nothing except more rules, laws, regulations, taxes, and increase their budgets ad infinitum so as to hand out more free shit to other people that consume vast resources and produce nothing. The FSA are bacteria, and government drones are viruses (which feed off of bacteria). What a cesspool. Oh, you neglected to mention all the government provided/free cars the government drones drive around while accomplishing nothing. Many don’t even have to pay for their own cars. Fuck ‘em.

Yet another reason why I just don’t believe the numbers coming out of our government.

There is no way that government’s contribution to GDP is as low as reported, nor do I believe our actual GDP is as high as reported.

Many in Michigan still believe that we have an “organic” recovery.

Truth is it is ALL based on Obamabucks, once those stop, watch out below!

Jim – as a parole/probation agent for MI, we did have the day off. As a veteran, thank you. Many of us work more than the allotted 40hrs/wk that we are paid for. (No overtime, no pensions, no comp time, no government vehicles) If anyone wants to knock on the doors of known felons, drug test them, make arrests and write reports to try to get them back to prison when they break the law, please be my guest and come along. As agents, we are on the front line and have no say what is done when it comes to rules and regulations.

I started to work for the state a few years ago after my manufacturer’s rep business closed due to the automotive industry leaving for Mexico and China and the purchasing went overseas. It was small, but I employed five people and did pretty well. When I couldn’t grab any new lines to represent, I had mouths to feed. The toughest day was closing shop after nearly twenty years. So if you want to lump me into the “drones”, that’s your prerogative. But know that there are many of us, who work in local and state government, that feel the same way you do. The government cannot be everything to everyone and if more people would take responsibility with their own lives, there would be less of us government workers.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 3 Thumb down 5

The automotive industry was destroyed by unions and the management that was too pussy to stand up to those unions. Put the blame where it belongs. Now government unions are destroying the finances of every state in this country. My scorn and ridicule of the government is well placed. I will continue to rail against the size of government and the people who work within the beast. So solly.

That is the pussiest shit, ever. WTF is FEMA for if it cannot properly function in inclement weather? Guaranteed Mr/Mrs/Ms National Guard didn’t and haven’t given up, but these pussy-ass lowlifes working for an agency dedicated to disaster response can’t even stand a little precipitation. Ax it all and shut it down or roll the function into the DoD via the State guard commands. It is beyond unacceptable to have an agency dedicated to emergencies that isn’t capable of or willing to respond to emergencies or one that will not continue on in the relief and management efforts. Once again, the men and women of the nation’s military will be the ones you can count on and of course in return they’ll get a nice shit sandwich from the gov and a good fuck you by the private sector for good measure. Damn my disposition is rosy today lol.

I was on the road today, but not to the office. Spent the day working on the doomstead, at -15F. You think getting Veteran’s Day off is bad, as an AK State employee. I get Seward’s Day and Alaska Day off too. I had never even heard of Alaska Day till I went to work for the State. But I only get one day for Thanksgiving and on for Christmas. I am so mistreated-boo hoo. Wish I could retire at 50 like the back east gov’t employees.

You’re talking your own book — if the shoe does not fit, you need not wear it.

Conversely, can you assert you are typical of the average or even above-average government drone?

The drones are back on the road today. They added 20 minutes to my commute. I propose more federal holidays for the drones. It would improve my commute and less damage would be done to the country if the drones are at home.
