A rare total eclipse lasting over two minutes has wowed spectators and astronomers alike in Far North Queensland, while the surrounding wildlife also seemed dazzled by the phenomenon, going completely quiet throughout the spectacle.

    I’ll wager it’s not a natural eclispe, but their evil darkness blotting out the sun.

    Where I am, it was 96% totality. Nice.

    I was a bit further south – In Toowoomba (google it).

    only got about 85% of totality, enough to make the sky darker, but not black.

    Well Novista and Mikey, I hope to join you guys over there in a few years. If the US completely goes to shit and they close the borders, it might take a little extra time. Or, if I get splattered by federal troops or zombies, then I guess I won’t make it. Other than that, there’s a few things to wrap up here and I’ll be on the boat.
