I didn’t see Lipoh’s name on this list. The 23 wealthiest Americans are worth $500 billion combined, less than 6 months U.S. deficit/debt. Anyway, a nice graphic.
Visualizing The World’s Rich

We hear a lot about billionaires, millionaires, and 250,000-aires but just where are all these tax-dodging blood-suckers skulking and just how many trips to Space on Virgin Galactic can the Top 25 Wealthiest people take per day?… Everything you wanted to know about the uber-wealthy is one simple mega-infographic.

@hollow man,
Domestic service, as it was known, was the largest occupation in the UK prior to WW1 and hiring maids, manservants, cooks and butlers may once again become necessary to mop up the large numbers of structurally unemployed in the US and Europe. While nannies have grown in popularity amongst the affluent, there seems to be a reluctance on the part of the wealthy to employ household
servants in the numbers that were once common. Part of that is no doubt due to labor laws but it may also be seen as snobbish or unfashionable so maid, landscaping and catering contractors are used instead.
This arrangement may not be more convenient ( for the rich) but less so for the working poor who fill those jobs. Not only do they not get room and board in an upscale neighborhood they also do not benefit from personal contact with the better educated social classes. Let’s face it a lot of today’s underclass are so ill mannered and devoid of social skills they are virtually unemployable but if a mother was employed as kitchen help in a wealthy family’s home they would learn social skills that would not only benefit them but their own family. Waiters at upscale
restaurants can make a good living, certainly more than what is paid at fast food or even a Red Lobster type restaurant but you have to know how to serve people and be conversant with sophisticated menus. You’ll never learn those skills in the ghetto or trailer park. Being a manservant to a wealthy man may at first glance seem degrading but in practice it was a chance for a lower class man to travel in circles and acquire the social polish even middle class men would never know.

These billionaire charts are total bullshit. They are made for us, and sometimes they change around a little and a newbie here and there to cover up the fact that the wealthiest people on this planet are a couple families and they would make the list boring as it hasn´t changed in a couple hundred years.

I’d love to know how much gold they own. I bet the top 100 globally have a controlling position in gold exclusive to Central Banks. This is a big issue with gold as a backing for our fiat currency…too easy to cornor. Goldman would run the market overnight.
