Does the idea of AIPAC running this country for Israel’s benefit (and the US’ destruction) piss you off? Well, me too.

Does knowing that numerous members of the federal government are, in fact, dual US-Israeli citizens piss you off? Me too.

Would you like to, at least, make some attempt to draw attention to this travesty of our alleged “representative” republic?

Go to the link above and help get it past the first 150 signatures, then it’ll be visible to everyone and the idiots in the District of Criminals might just have to answer for being a bunch of fucking sellout whorebags.

That is one of the stupidest fucking things I have ever seen – that petition is actually proposing barring US CITIZENS from holding office/jobs due to their national origins/affliations, and is particularly and specifically targeting Jews.

That is seriously fucked up. There is no law preventing dual citizenship (there should be, but there is not). This petition is acting to subvert the rights of AMERICAN CITIZENS.

    Fucking antisemitic NAZI bullshit.

Ecliptix – that is seriously fucked up. Why not just give every body a goddamn test to check their religious beliefs while you are at it, especially any that might describe themselves as Zionist? Why not just bar all Jews? Or Muslims. Or Mormons. Or Mexicans.

That is about the most vile thing ever posted on this site.

Me personally, I dont care what your religion is. Just dont try to hold me down and make me swallow your belief.

Our constitution states that every person can have their belief.

As to this targeting those of the Jewish religion, No. It targets many religions besides Judaism. So, in good will, America, a nation of many cultures, and beliefs, shall not work to fund any natiion, or country, or boundary against another,

KB – it particularly targets Jews. It says “anyone holding dual-citizenship, particularly US-Israeli”. What part of that can you not understand? And what part of creating laws to particularly disadvantage US citizens from particular backgrounds (dual citizens) is acceptable?

And if these Israeili/US duals should renounce their Israeli citizenship – would that actually change their beliefs?

This is simply a fucking attempt to purge Jews from government office. It is despicable.

    Yes and no.

Frankly I detest ALL lobbyists. And so AIPAC is a lobbying group. Yet I am not anti-semitic

We are in a precarious position as no other written history has achieved. We have global communication. we have knowledge of the world and the planets, We can send, as a people, drones to planets far away.

It is time, IMO, to forego our ancient racial, cultural differences and to remember our past and to look to OUR future.

I have no trouble at all supporting a move to ban paid lobbyists. I totallly support that – lobbying should be reserved for individuals and non-paid groups.

But I find it astonishing that someone could possibly suppport a petition that makes certain American citizens inferior to others, and subject to penalty and restriction. It truly is reminiscent of Nazi Germany – people are being targetted because of their national background. US-Israelis, and millions of Mexican-Americans, etc etc etc would all be hit by this. It really is astonishing.

As I said, I do not have a problem with a law that would require single citizenship. But that law would in no way address the issues that are being pursued in this petition – which is the elimination of Jews/Zionists from government employ, due to a belief that these people unduly influence government policy. Single citizenship would not overcome those issues at all. And what would be the next step? Why, of course, barring Jews/Zionists would be next on the agenda, because the goal of this petition would not be achieved.

    It is horrific.

I have nothing against the Jewish religion. Never have. I do have a problem with entangling alliances that directly and demonstrably influence US foreign and domestic policies. When an Israeli PM specifically sets out to disrupt an election, that is a problem. When there are people serving in US government positions that have professed allegiances to foreign nations AND those people abuse their US office to serve the agenda of a foreign nation, that is also a problem. Corporate lobbyists are a serious problem but foreign operatives in federal offices are even more of a threat than any corporation.

There is nothing inherently wrong with dual citizenship. Stucky has it, having been born in Austria and becoming a US citizen later. The problem with dual citizenship when it comes to Jews is that Israel grants them that status whether or not they were born in Israel. That practice should be abolished. If they want Israeli citizenship, let them move to Israel.

After reading the petition and thread it seems much ado over nothing and the petition appears to be born out of hate filled people.. Being offered dual citizenship and accepting dual citizenship is two different things. Twisted logic entangles the two concepts making potential dual citizenship appear like a conflict of interest. Once one seperates the two there is zero conflict. Denying American citizens rights with lies and twisted truths reflects nazi propaganda.

Jewish support for Obama up since April; Romney’s popularity down

Support for U.S. President Barack Obama has risen since April among Jewish Americans, while the popularity of his Republican rival, Mitt Romney, has since slid.

According to a recent national poll by the American Jewish Committee, 65 percent of U.S. Jews support Obama, while 24 percent prefer Romney. This reflects an increase in support for the Democratic president since April’s AJC poll, when 61 percent of U.S. Jews supported him, and 28 percent preferred the Republican leader

Also, there is the small little issue that the Constitution guarantees US citizens the right to lobby. A Constitutional amendment would be required to eliminate lobbying. This fucked up petition is trying to deny dual citizens that right, seems to me.

This petition wants to penalize a person for their place of origin.

Re the issues of Japanese Americans, etc holding various offices – they could easily give up their Japanese citizenship, and it would not change a thing. They would be the same person.

This is really nothing more than a direct attack on Jews.

I am all for eliminating dual citizenship. No problem their – choose your allegiance. But I will never advocate targetting certain Americans for blatant discrimination.

Z’s last comment is total bullshit – he says ” The problem with dual citizenship when it comes to Jews is that Israel grants them that status whether or not they were born in Israel.”

That is an outright lie. There are 4 ways to become Israeli citizens: 1) be born to Israeli parents (same as the US), 2) you can immigrate to Israel and gain citizenship (Jews have the right to immigrate.), 3) you can live in Israel for some years and appeal for citizenship, and 4) if you lived in Israel before 1948 for an extended period of time you can appeal for citizenship.

Z’s comments are totally untrustworthy on anything related to Jews – he is blatantly antisemitic.

The fact is, pure and simple, that there are basically only two ways to become Israeli citizens – be born to Israeli parents, or immigrate to Israel and take up citizenship. That is for all intents and purposes the same way someone can achieve US citizenship. The US also deems anyone born on US soil to be US citizens – I do not think that is the case with Israelis.

The Jews are a huge support base for the Dems. No way he would ostracize them. They wield incredible influence. I would be overjoyed to see that come to an end. The US sends around $3 billion a year to Israel. What the fuck??!! Israel has arounf 8 million inhabitants, of which around 6 million are Jewish. The US has around 5 million Jews – let them send money to Israel if they want, but it is totally wrong for the US to be supporting the military of Israel.

Contrary to popular opinion, I could not give a shit if Israel exists or not. That is up to them and their ability to defend their country. The US has no place in the issue. I suspect that one of the drivers in it all is an underlying fear that the sraelis will eventually nuke someone if not kept under some semblance of control by the US. That is a real possibility, I suppose. but it is what it is.

This latest ceasefire is a joke – nothing is resolved. Nor will it be. I have come to the conclusion that they should probably just fight it out until one or the other is forced into unconditional surrender. This ceasefire crap is going nowhere.

If, as you say, the US has no place in the issue and that they must be kept under some semblance of US control, then why are you so opposed to the idea of codifying the US’ sovereign right to determine its own course, absent undue influence of elected or appointed office holders whose loyalty is split to another sovereign? My proposal also has nothing to do with lobbyists, American or otherwise. You accuse me of trying to deny a person’s right to lobby – I have proposed nothing of the sort. This is specifically related to ELECTED AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS, not lobbyists. The largely ineffectual and pointless Congressional Ethics Committee has pervue over undue influence peddling as related to lobbyists of any stripe.

DUMBASS. This is about the issue of having people in high government offices that maintain citizenship in two countries. Who gives a fuck what color somebody is, as long as their allegiance is to the US – not the US and some other country? This has nothing to do with someone’s religion or background or ethnicity. It has to do with foreign governments and political ideology having direct influence on what should be sovereign US policy decisions. The FACT that AIPAC and the Israeli government have managed to completely derail any sort of rational, balanced US policy in the Middle East by dint of their dual-citizen operatives within Congress and the Executive is simply the clearest example of why it is a BAD FUCKING IDEA to allow dual citizens to hold elected office.

    Puppet State America

November 19, 2012| Categories: Articles & Columns| Tags: american civil liberties union, puppet state, | Print This Article

The United States government and its subject peoples think of the US as “the world’s only superpower.” But how is a country a superpower when its entire government and a majority of the subjects, especially those members of evangelical churches, grovel at the feet of the Israeli Prime Minister? How is a country a superpower when it lacks the power to determine its own foreign policy in the Middle East? Such a country is not a superpower. It is a puppet state.

In the past few days we have witnessed, yet again, the “American superpower” groveling at Netanyahu’s feet. When Netanyahu decided to again murder the Palestinian women and children of Gaza, to further destroy what remains of the social infrastructure of the Gaza Ghetto, and to declare Israeli war crimes and Israeli crimes against humanity to be merely the exercise of “self-defense,” the US Senate, the US House of Representatives, the White House, and the US media all promptly declared their support for Netanyahu’s crimes.

On November 16 the Congress of the “superpower,” both House and Senate, passed overwhelmingly the resolutions written for them by AIPAC, the Israel Lobby known as the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the only foreign agent that is not required to register as a foreign agent. The Global News Service of the Jewish People reported their power over Washington with pride. (http://current.com/19su0kc). Both Democrats and Republicans shared the dishonor of serving Israel and evil instead of America and justice for the Palestinians.

The White House quickly obeyed the summons from the Israel Lobby. President Obama announced that he is “fully supportive” of Israel’s assault on Gaza. Ben Rhodes, White House deputy national security adviser, told the media on November 17 that the White House “wants the same thing as the Israelis want.” This is an overstatement as many Israelis oppose the crimes of the Israeli government, which is not the government of Israel but the government of the “settlers,” that is, the crazed land-hungry immigrants who are illegally, with Netanyahu’s support, stealing the lands of the Palestinians.

Netanyahu’s Israel is the equivalent of the Lincoln Republicans 150 years ago. Then there was no international law to protect Southern states, who left the voluntary union, a right under the Constitution, in order to avoid being exploited by Northern business interests. Subsequently, the Union army, after devastating the South, turned on the American Indians, and there was no international law to protect American Indians from being murdered and dispossessed by Washington’s armies.

Washington claimed that its invasion forces were threatened by the Indian’s bows and arrows. Today there is international law to protect the Palestinian residents of the West Bank and Gaza. However, every time that the world tries to hold the Israeli government accountable for its crimes, Israel’s Washington puppet vetoes the UN decision.

The notion that Israel is threatened by Palestinians is as absurd as the notion that the US is threatened by Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Syria, Somalia, Pakistan, and Iran. No government of any of these countries has ever made a threatening statement against the US. Even had such a statement been made, it would be meaningless. If a Superpower can be threatened by such impotent and distant counties, then it is not a superpower.

Demonizing a victim is a way of hiding state crimes. The American print and TV media is useless as a check on state crimes. The only crimes reported by the media are assigned to “terrorists,” that is, those who resist US hegemony, and to Americans, such as Bradley Manning and Sibel Edmonds, who liberate truth from official secrecy. Julian Assange of WikiLeaks remains in danger despite the asylum granted to him by the President of Ecuador, as Washington has little regard for international law.

In the US the exercise of the First Amendment is coming to be regarded as a crime against the state. The purpose of the media is no longer to find the truth, but to protect official lies. Speaking the truth has essentially disappeared as it is too costly to journalist who dare to do so. To keep one’s job, one serves Washington and the private interest groups that Washington serves.

In his November 19 defense of Israel’s latest war crimes, President Obama said: “no country on earth would tolerate missiles raining down from outside its borders.” But, of course, numerous countries do tolerate missiles raining down from the US. The war criminal Obama is raining down missiles in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Yemen, and has rained missiles on Libya, Somalia, Iraq and Syria as well. Iran might be next.

The German assault on the Warsaw Ghetto is one of the horror stories of Jewish history. Such an event is happening again, only this time Jews are perpetrators instead of victims. No hand has been raised to stay Israel from the goal of the operation declared by Israeli Interior Minister Eli Yishai to be “to send Gaza back to the Middle Ages.” (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/israel-pounds-gaza-from-air-as-troops-assemble-8326924.html)

I have a hard time understanding what critics of Israel are objecting to. That Israeli’s don’t like to be murdered and will defend themselves? That they want to preserve the country’s identity as a Jewish state? That they kept some of the territory they acquired as a result of winning a war?

These are near universal policies of nations around the world even if they are not stated. The problem in the middle east is not Israel. The problem is the Arab world, a violent, atavistic cauldron of religious hate, irredentism and brutality. Israel bends over backwards to adhere to the rules of war despite being the victim of terrorist atrocity after atrocity. No other nation on earth would put up with the depredations of the so called Palestinians.

That Israel enjoys bipartisan support in the Congress maybe because they all know the Arabs would like nothing better than to commit another holocaust on the Israeli people and were the US to stand up for Israel no other nation would out of fear they too, would become a target for Muslim terrorism.
