Three inches of the white stuff at TBP central. It’s gonna be a long hard winter.

    I don’t think they were singing about that kind of snow….

    Also, we had a few flurries here. We rarely get snow of consequence, but are good for some mild icestorms every winter and a severe one every 4-5 years or so.

    Eat your hearts out.. It’ll be 77 wonderful sunny degrees here in Central Florida tomorrow with an overnight low of – maybe 55.. Just right for sleeping.. And shorts and t-shirt by 10AM for a good walk.

    We’ve been suffering below average temperatures for the past two weeks – all the way down to 46 at night and maybe only 60 daytime. Tough.. I had to dig out a sweatshirt…

    It used to be, when I was a kid, here in souf tejas, that we had the first frost around all hallows eve.

    Today it was some 65 degrees and the low tonite will likely be aboot 47 or so.

    I see a warm winter in these parts with a late snow around the end of april or mid march.

    Keep that generator filled with gas!

    We have friends in Jersey that bought a monster mansion and pay $15K in taxes a year. They’ve now lost power 11 times this year including 2 weeks post Hurricane Sandy.

    Now they have to buy a whole house generator. 11 times in a year was a bit much for them. Sucks.

    We haven’t gotten any fresh snow this month, but the 6 or 8 inches from last month is still here, of course. -22F this am, but warmed to a balmy -10 by 2:00. Then the sun starts going down and it cools off.

    MA – I know! There was actually a layer of frost on the parts of my truck not parked under the tree a couple of mornings ago. What’s up with that shit? Un-fucking-acceptable! I had to go on a hard target search for socks, then open up the Arctic Wilderness Closet to find a jacket and jeans… The horror.. the horror.. Our two weeks of winter aren’t supposed to hit til after New Year’s.
