Yep, Obama is planning on taking another 3 week Hawaiian vacation this holiday season. Never mind the fiscal cliff, the massive increase in taxes, Obamacare wiping out jobs and destroying the healthcare system (and causing the biggest tax increase in U.S. history), he and moochel get to lounge on the beaches and bodysurf in Hawaii. Hey, he’s earned it. And it’s only another $4-6 million, he spends that much in a few seconds in Washington. It’s not easy buying elections with graft, hand-outs, pork, welfare, disability, food stamps, and almost unlimited unemployment checks. He hands out the checks and food stamps, so he deserves a vacation. Once again, Nero comes to mind.
Report: Obama to be in Hawaii as Nation Goes Over the Cliff
by Keith Koffler on November 29, 2012, 9:38 am
President Obama is reportedly scheduled to be vacationing in Hawaii on January 2, the date billions in spending cuts – and untold consequences for the economy – will kick in if a deal is not reached on the “fiscal cliff.”
According to the Hawaii Reporter, residents who live in the area of Oahu where Obama and his family vacation have been told that the usual restrictions on their movements during an Obama stay will be in place for 21 days, from December 17 through January 6.
The White House has not officially announced the vacation, and it is unclear if the travel plans are finalized or if the Obamas will be in Hawaii for the entire three-week window covered by the restrictions.
An upcoming vacation could provide subtle pressure for Obama to reach a deal, since not getting one might force him to cancel his coveted time in Hawaii. Even though the election is behind him, Obama’s advisers would probably think it too much of a public relations nightmare to have the president luxuriating in paradise while the country embarks on a season of massive pain.
In the past, Obama has made sure he got his vacation time in – even extending his scheduled Hawaii sojourn after being forced to delay its start because of negotiations with Congress.
What’s more, the Obamas skipped their traditional August trip to ritzy Martha’s Vineyard, an excursion that would have contrasted too severely with a candidate supposedly fighting for the middle class. They presumably are more than eager at this point to get away.
The Hawaii Reporter estimates that the total cost of the vacation to Hawaii and federal taxpayers, including funding for travel, staff and protection, is at least $4 million. Obama’s vacations are more expensive than those of previous presidents because of the huge costs to fly Air Foce One and an accompanying cargo plane for nine hours or so to Hawaii.

When was the last time you got to take a 20 day vacation?
And most of our “leaders” have no idea what it is like to struggle from month to month on a paycheck.
Overall, more than half of the members of Congress are millionaires. We are led by wealthy men who are serving the interests of other wealthy men.
But the problem with our system is not limited to the president and the members of Congress. The truth is that the political system in America has become a colossal beast that just continues to grow no matter who is in power. The political establishment of both parties is totally dependent on this beast, and they will continue to feed it and serve it because it has been very good to them. The following is from an outstanding article by Steve McCann…
The Republican and Democratic political establishments are made up of the following:
1) many current and nearly all retired national office holders whose livelihood and narcissistic demands depends upon fealty to Party and access to government largesse;
2) the majority of the media elite, including pundits, editors, writers and television news personalities based in Washington and New York whose proximity to power and access is vital to their continued standard of living;
3) academia, numerous think-tanks, so-called non-government organizations, and lobbyists who fasten onto those in the administration and Congress for employment, grants, favorable legislation and ego-gratification;
4) the reliable deep pocket political contributors and political consultants whose future is irrevocably tied to the political machinery of the Party; and
5) the crony capitalists, i.e. leaders of the corporate and financial community as well as unions whose entities are dependent on or subject to government oversight and/or benevolence .
Do you think that there is any chance that this insidious system will be uprooted any time soon?
Of course not.
We will continue on the same path that we are on right now and America will continue to decline.
Many will rejoice as America falls

The sheer audacity and lack of empathy of this “First Family ” is just astounding. It is truly at a psycopathic level. You would think that appearances would mean something to these people but i guess not.
Look I know it would be an empty gesture to have a simple tree and a small party with hand made gifts but for heavens sake what the fuck are you thinking! Hawaii ! I hafta go to TOLEDO for fucks sake i don’t need to here about Hawaii……….

“Incredibly, more than 56,000 manufacturing facilities in the United States have been shut down since 2001. During 2010, manufacturing facilities were shutting down at the rate of 23 per day.”
Let’s see. Obama will be on vacation for 3 weeks (21 days). At the rate of 23 manufacturing facilities being closed or going bankrupt PER DAY in the U.S., 438 manufacturing facilities will have closed while Obama works on his tan, eats sushi, and enjoys the good life at taxpayer expense. I wonder how many jobs will be lost during his vacation? And how many billions more the deficit will go up while he enjoys himself in the tropical breezes of Hawaii? Anybody know?

We are being screwed soooo bad. Check out the US Treasury Monthly Report for the first month of the new fiscal year (October), individual income taxes were $102.039 billion while corporate taxes were only $1.619 billion. And while that’s not much, the budget this year is for $1.292 trillion of individual taxes versus a lousy $0.294 trillion of corporate tax revenue. Table 3 on top of page 5. I know Admin will have fun with this.

Two comments. First, one would think a president who lives in museum cum office building known as the White House, would want to go home for a vacation. I mean you travel the world as part of your job meeting with foreign leaders in exclusive resorts or capital cities and stay in the finest hotels or even palaces. Everywhere you go you are surrounded by staff, secret service, aides and other politicians. Going home,to your own house where you can walk around in your underwear, fix your own breakfast and just be alone for a bit would be the ‘vacation’. In fact, until Clinton and now Obama, it is what all the presidents in my life did. Kennedy went home to Hyannis Port, Johnson to his ranch, Nixon to his San Clemente estate, Carter to his peanut farm, Reagan to his Santa Barbara ranch, Bush to his Kennebunkport house and Dubya to his Crawford, Texas spread.
With that in mind and given the background of Clinton and Obama doesn’t anyone see how peculiar these men really are. They don’t have homes. Never did. They are totally abnormal people.. Not exceptional, abnormal. Their lives were nothing but the creation of resume’s without any substance. No accomplishments beyond admission to presitigious academic institutions but they weren’t distinguished scholars nor did they hold any important positions in public or private life other than elective office. Strange.

I tell you one thing Boehner and the GOP might insist on is Air Force One be reserved for Presidential travel only where he is representing the United States in his official capacity as head of state. If he has to go a G-20 summit or is travelling abroad on a state visit then Air Force One is the appropriate aircraft. It is not a personal jet to haul campaign contributors and his family around in.
We need to remember those two 747′s were built as flying command posts for the Cold War. 747′s were used because of their ability to stay airborne for many hours and carry an array of communications equipment for the president to fight a nuclear war in flight. Should we go back to a heightened military posture similiair to that which existed in the early 1980′s then the president go use the 747′s on a routine basis. Short of that let him and his family fly in smaller cheaper to operate executive jets.
Eisenhower had a Lockheed Constellation and Kennedy through Reagan all managed with a 707. I think even a 707 sized air liner is excessive for routine presidential travel. The PM of Great
Britain travels on commercial jets. I don’t think we have to be that cheap as security is important but a Gulfstream or big Cessna Citation has the range to take the president and his staff anywhere in the US in comfort and at a fraction of the cost of Air Force One.

I would be more concerned if the President actually had any say in the events to come regarding the so-called ‘fiscal cliff’, but as he doesn’t he might as well be in Hawaii. This show is choreographed and directed by more powerful people, the ones you don’t see or hear about. The ‘wizards’ behind the curtains that you do NOT elect and cannot fire.
BTW: $4 million is equal to about 2 minutes of the Military/Security budget.

Eye-opening. I hate sounding racist, and there ARE exceptions to the rule, but their culture demands they waste fiat on clothes, hair, nails, shoes, cars and vacations. Many do this while living in the hood and continuously fighting off the non-working animals to keep their stuff. And sucking welfare. They claim they “can’t afford” to leave. Choices. Bad choices.
And the Obamas DO have a “home,” it is in Chicago and it was – more or less – gifted from Ayers. Brought up, and ignored, during his first run for office.
20 days in paradise. Maybe we’ll get lucky and a shark will be attracted while they frolic.
