It’s a good thing that I went out and reserved my AR-15 when I realized RMoney was a total douchebag.  Not saying that he would have been any better at incrementally stripping us of our rights than Obama, but it was really the election perception driving up prices that I was worried about.

Then here comes the national tragedies.  What should be treated with reverence is inflated to the nth degree in order to spin up the agendas which have been simmering on the backburner since the last time that banning SCARY LOOKING WEAPONS failed to make a dent in violent crimes in this country.  A depressed, steroid fueled modern gladiator offs his baby mama and himself and it’s the gun’s fault.  Some nut storms a mall in Portland and offs himself when he realizes he might be shot by a law abiding citizen and have to face the music.  Finally, and NOT worst of all because I’m sick of all of the moral relativism in this country, some evil little bastard kills his mother than proceeds to assassinate children and it’s the gun’s fault again.  In fact, since killing non-Muslim kids and not using Hellfire missiles is deemed so heinous by the populous, our never-waste-a-crisis asshat “leaders” jump all over the opportunity to strip more rights away from us in order to KEEP US SAFE, and the media addicted fucking brainwashed sheep in this country hand their rights over willingly and demand EVERYONE do the same.

So here is your buddy, good ole C30 sitting on my brand new AR with my soon-to-be-banned “high capacity mags”.  Never mind that I am a combat vet and a former Ranger who slept with my similarly built M4 at night in that shithole of a country in order to further the interests of Halliburton expanding a gas pipeline and JP Morgan’s lithium mining interests for shit pay.  Never mind that the somehow deemed safer 10 round mags would be just as easy to reload and spray hot, lethal death at large crowds just as easily.  Some elite cocksucker thinks that their uber rich ass will be safer if their pet police can outgun the general populace and he wants to sick his army of bureaucrats on the serfs to pull the prongs off of our fucking pitchforks.

Source of rant:

Being the capitalist that I am, I went back and reviewed the Brady bill.  It seems that the most over-reaching portion of that bill was the high-capacity magazine ban.  Anything over 10 was considered military-style.  I did a tour of pretty much every site that you can imagine for gun stuff and 30 round mags were SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE.  The next morning I stepped out to my local gun shop and cleaned them out.  Just to test the waters so-to-speak I posted one of them up on Ebay.  I paid $25 (retail is $14) and the item got bid above $40 in a matter of hours.  I went home and low and behold I was met with this email from Ebay:

MC999 eBay Listing Removed: Firearms, Weapons, and Knives (724660445)

You recently listed the following listing:

261145183104 – MAGPUL PMAG Black 30 Round AR/M4 5.56×45 Magazine

Unfortunately, we had to remove your listing because of the following:

You listed a 30 round magazine for an AR15 which is considered an assault weapon. These items are removed due to the complex and varied regulations governing their sale. Something that is legal in one jurisdiction may be illegal in another. To prevent members from inadvertently violating a firearms law, we have banned listings for all parts and accessories related to assault weapons. If these items are universally compatible, or if they are compatible with other non-assault weapons, you are welcome to relist. Please avoid the mention of any assault weapon models though.

Because of various laws and regulations on the sale of assault weapons and parts and accessories for assault weapons, we don’t allow selling these items on eBay.

But you can list accessories that would fit a variety of different weapons, such as scopes, sites, and shoulder straps. If you do sell these items, you can’t mention assault weapons in your listing.

Keep in mind that any listing for an item that’s described as a part or an accessory for an assault weapon will be removed. Even if an item doesn’t attach to an assault weapon, you still can’t list it on eBay.

Here’s more information on our policy:
http://pages.ebay.com/sell/policy/firearms/assault_weapons.html

All fees related to this listing have been credited to your account. We also notified members who placed bids on the item that the listing has been canceled.

Please note: violation of this or other eBay policies may result in forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings, limits on account privileges and account suspension.

You can review our list of prohibited and restricted items here:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/items-ov.html

Fair enough.  Although I don’t agree with the premise I sort of read between the lines on this as.  ”Don’t list it as a part for an ‘assault weapon’”, but on this note WHAT THE FUCK IS AN ASSAULT WEAPON?  Aren’t ALL weapons assault weapons?  If I attacked you with a baseball bat, a butter knife or I threw a bowling ball at your head I’m pretty sure that I would be charged with AGGRIVATED ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON.  So as an experiment I re-listed the magazine without saying anything about AR-15/M4 or even mentioning 30 rounds.  Here is my latest pull response:

You recently listed the following listing:

261145247425 – MAGPUL PMAG 30 .556/223 Standard Black Magazine

Unfortunately, we had to remove your listing because of the following:

You listed a magazine that accepts more than 10 rounds. Magazines that accept more than 10 rounds are not allowed on the site. I realize that you may not have been aware of this policy and we ask that you not relist this item.

Magazines with a capacity of 10 rounds or less may be listed. However, the capacity must be stated in the item description, or clearly visible within the images used in the listing. If there are contradicting terms (i.e. 10 rounds or less is stated, but the image shows 15) these listings may also be removed.

eBay prohibits the sale of magazines that accept more than 10 rounds, typically referred to as “high capacity” magazines. These items may not be sold, regardless of how they are described in the listing.

For more information on our policy, please review visit the Firearms section of the following link:http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/firearms-weapons-knives.html

All fees related to this listing have been credited to your account. We also notified members who placed bids on the item that the listing has been canceled.

So I have a couple of questions.  Why am I, a responsible taxpayer, veteran and generally nice guy, being punished or kept from doing business on this site?  Why does it seem that they are pre-empting Obama’s new scary looking gun ban?  I want to sell and obviously folks want to buy it.  What makes a 30 round magazine so much more dangerous than 3 10 rounders?

So to find my answers amidst the hysteria I perused the mainstream media to taste some of what Boobus Americanus is currently being spoonfed.  Enjoy as much as you can stomach:

Obama calls on Congress to ban assault weapons, high-capacity magazines

President Obama on Wednesday urged Congress to vote on measures banning the sale of assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines and requiring background checks before any firearm sale, part of an emerging White House response to a massacre last week at a Connecticut elementary school.

The potential gun-control measures, which will be the focus of a working group led by Vice President Biden, mark the most specific proposals to date from Obama to deal with what he called a gun violence epidemic plaguing the United States.

High-Capacity Magazines Targeted By Democrats In New Gun Control Push

WASHINGTON — House Democrats say they’ve seen a groundswell of support within their caucus for legislation that would prohibit the manufacturing of high-capacity magazines. At least two lawmakers are planning to push for a vote on such legislation before the year ends.

The bill backed by Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-N.Y.) and Diana DeGette (D-Colo.) mirrors legislation that has been introduced in the Senate by Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.). It would ban magazines for more than 10 rounds of ammunition and prohibit the transfer, possession or importation of those magazines that are manufactured after the date of the law being signed…..

Nancy Pelosi, House Democrats Demand Action On High-Capacity Magazine Clips

WASHINGTON — More than two dozen House Democrats, led by Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), called for immediate action Wednesday to address gun control in the wake of Friday’s massacre in Newtown, Conn. — beginning with a vote on legislation that would prohibit the manufacturing of high-capacity magazines as early as this week.

“Here in Congress, what we need now are not more words. What we need is action,” Pelosi told reporters on Capitol Hill. “We must be able to tell our children that we are doing everything in our power to prevent this from happening again.”

Pelosi called on House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to bring legislation banning the manufacturing of high capacity magazines to the House floor for a vote by Saturday. The bill, which is being pushed by Reps. Carolyn McCarthy (D-N.Y.) and Diana DeGette (D-Colo.), mirrors legislation introduced by Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) in the Senate. It would ban magazines holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition and prohibit the transfer, possession or importation of those weapons that are manufactured after the law is signed….

Wait, what?  Prohibit the transfer?  Does that include private transfer as well?  Is this why “marketplaces” like Ebay are trying to preempt the law by not allowing me to sell, literally changing their policy last night?  From what I understood by the terms and conditions of sale “Seller is responsible for the listing” meaning that they wash their hands of the liability and it would be up to me no to ship to a state like NY or CA who already have active bans in place.

It seems to me that we are about to create another big, fat, government induced black market.  Just for shits & giggles I checked to see if there were actually any opposing voices on this lunacy.  Then I stumbled across this gem:

NRA to talk about Sandy Hook as mourning continues

By CNN Staff

updated 10:45 AM EST, Fri December 21, 2012

The National Rifle Association, the powerful gun rights group that has kept largely quiet since last week’s deadly school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, will break its silence Friday.

NRA Executive Director Wayne LaPierre will speak at a news conference at 10:45 a.m.

After the shooting, a debate over gun control has surged from the public and in Washington. The NRA, an important voice that has been missing thus far, will join the conversation.

On Tuesday, the group released its only statement on the shooting, saying in part that “the NRA is prepared to offer meaningful contributions to help make sure this never happens again.”

http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/21/us/connecticut-school-shooting/index.html

The rest of this article is propaganda but The pasted part stuck with me.  I’m not a member of the NRA and WHO THE FUCK TO THEY THINK THEY ARE using MY RIGHTS as a bargaining chip to “make sure this never happens again”.  Motherfuckers, unless you can rid the world of all evil people via reverse rapture or some shit, there are absolutely no guarantees.  OK I’m done.

“Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws.”

Good piece, Cynical! Never underestimate the stupidity of human beings and you will never be disappointed! I really liked the last quote from Plato… Truth from so long ago that you’d have thought we’d have learned by now —– but obviously not.

Write the NRA a note – tell them what you think about them.. I already sent your article to them (and yes, I am a member – but a not very enthusiastic one at the moment).

Yeah, expensive to operate at full auto but that’s what I was curious about. That supposedly is an AR-15 not the military version. Is it available on the civilian market. If not, and high capacity magazines are outlawed, you know some manufacturer is going to come out with a belt fed rifle.

Ah, the spoils of war. Being able to invade and rape a country, then get paid to rebuild the infrastructure and further rape the natural resources, all at taxpayer expense and with the full assistance and cooperation of the Pentagon.

Magpul is making the best AR mags now. They are plastic but are very well made. There will not be an “Assault Weapons” ban or any other ban passed by congress. Obongo will probably sign a few executive orders and blow some more smoke up Feinstein’s ass along with Bloomberg, Schumer, Boxer and the usual Jewish suspects. I’d like to see ‘em try their shit wif the Israelis. The Ar is great fun to shoot but I find it incredibly boring after 10 or so rounds. Boring because it does so incredibly well what it was designed to do!

I had the same experience. I see plenty of pmags on ebay, but each time I try to list some for sale, ebay takes it down with the same message you are getting. This is nuts.

Same thing happened to me on eBay….. My listings yanked while other are still on and selling…. Look under completed listing. The latest test….. Magazine repair kit…. Picture of mag taken apart. All parts needed to repair a magazine. I guess we know where eBay stands on this issue…… But how can they discriminate between sellers. Remove all or none….. Who the hell are they to decide what is ok to sell and what is not…… Makes me realize the real value in the magazine is not the monetary value, but the fact that I still have it.
