    There is an obvious but valuble lesson to be learned here. When you commit armed robbery you just might get killed. That is a chance you take and you must weigh the risks vs the rewards.

    And one more thing. Isn’t is surprising that it was 2 African-American youths instead of damed honkys and crackers?

    Those 2 africans looked as if they could have been The Leader, Barack Obama’s sons, if he had sons.

    I’m damned surprised they didn’t have real guns. For urban black males their age a handgun is de riguer. Glad they didn’t though. Am also shocked by the mother of the dead thug reaction. I feel truly sorry for her. She seems a decent soul who, I suspect, knew her boy was lost to the streets. No Sabrina Fulton style caterwauling about injustice but a quiet acceptance that her boy stepped on his dick and paid the price.

    Dollar Stores sell cheap Chinese plastic shit. Why didn’t Mr. Good Guy shoot the owner? That would have been a justifiable shooting, imho.

    I watched the video and I like Thomas’s approach to the use of guns, in that he took the time to become proficient with them. In my rural area the vast majority of firearm injuries are a result of mishandling. A lot of people just don’t comprehend how much damage guns can do.

    I spent 15 years on a volunteer ambulance service and I’ve also been a lifelong big game hunter, so I’ve seen plenty of what firearms can do. When my kids were growing up my firearms were always locked up unless I was present.

    Lately there seems to be a trend ( at least in Florida) where thugs not only rob the store, they rob the customers too. This maybe an unintended side effect of EBT cards and the reduction in the use of cash. If a convenience store/gas stations etc have less cash in the till the thug in order to make the crime worthwhile needs to rob customers too. Have others noticed this in news reports of crime in your areas?

    This would seem to make this man’s actions less altruistic and more defensive since these punks may also have intended to rob him and the other customers. I hope more citizens realize that if they are in a store being robbed and they have a gun they better use it if the opportunity presents itself. You don’t want to wait till they turn and rob you at gun point.

    BTW , in Florida the Stand Your Ground law is custom made for these kinds of situations. You can shoot them in the back with no warning because, obviously a man committing an armed robbery is an clear and present danger to your life even if he has not yet demanded your money.
