We have more people in prison than any other country in the world (1/4 of all prisoners in the world). American taxpayers support more than 2 million people in prison, yet corporations are tapping prisoners for slave labor.
Some “prison corporations” are making billions off prisoners, and are lobbying to make prison sentences longer. This captive labor force are slaves, plain and simple. And again, this story is from a Russian media source. You won’t hear about it on the MSM or nightly news. WTF kind of country do we live in?

I say bullshit. Look at the source – Russia Today. Anything to make the US look bad & stir up hate & discontent. If the stats are accurate though, other countries just make people disappear. I’m sure the population of the Nazi camps remained constant even though there were daily new arrivals. While we are rapidly becoming a police state, be careful when the population starts shrinking, work camps instead of prisons, different statistic.

Unfortunately, we need to lock up a lot more than 2 million Americans/immigrants to clean this country up. My county sheriff puts the probable cause affidavits his deputies fill out for each arrest on line. If you’ve got the time to wade through them they are an eye opener. Yeah there are the drug paraphrenalia and marijuana arrests but its more complicated than that. Many of those marijuana and drug paraphrenalia arrests are of habitual criminals and low lifes and the initial search then turns up a gun under the seat or warrants for their arrest on felony charges someplace else.
Then there are the driving with no license, never had a license and get a license because they are illegal immigrants. My girlfriend got hit in June of this year by one of these guys, blood alcohol level .16, no license no insurance, bonded out and failed to appear probably back in Mexico now or in some other state with a new name. Guy on a motorcycle run over by another drunken Mexican yesterday. The drunken Mexican had been cited twice before for driving with no license earlier this year. He took off with the guys motorcycle wedged under his dilapidated, uninsured car but was caught by cops. Blood alcohol level .24! Biker in hospital in critical condition.
These drunken beaners need to do slave labor to make restitution. I’d sell them at the auction to landscapers, contractors or anyone else who wants to buy a beaner for a few years and provide some compensation to the victims of their drunken driving escapades.
