    My children and grandchildren are paying for Barack Obama and his family to go on a $20 million vacation over these holidays to Hawaii.

    Well, you know it’s easy to run up a tab at Ruth’s Chris. The sides are all ala carte.

    We worked overseas subcontracted to the gubmint. You would not believe how they piss rivers of your money into the sewer in distant places where you can’t watch them.

    Just for example, gov’t employees (I shall not name the departments) have their dependent children educated in the best international schools to the tune of–$30,000 per child–at the expense of the taxpayer. We knew one family with SEVEN kids in tow. Do the math on that and then multiply that figure by tens of thousands of foreign based government employees.

    I could give hundreds more egregious examples of government blowing your money on frivolous and absurd expenses showered on their various out-of-sight overseas agencies, departments, installations, and employees.

    The FSA ain’t got nothing on direct hire gubmint employees and their families living the good life overseas at your expense.

    I have to source this but I believe that Britain spends far less on the Royal family than what we get jacked to pay for the President.

    This list doesn’t even scratch the surface. I gotta admit, it was interesting to read that cows are producing way more green house gases than most of that evil “industry” output. But they piss away money they don’t care about; case in point why we need smaller government. Private industry pisses away money sometimes, but they’re accountable to shareholders and are shareholders themselves. These government drones? They’re playing with House money.

    First they want us to drive fuel efficient cars. Then they decide that they lose tax money on gasoline. So now they want to tax us for merely driving. WTF ?

    SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Oregon state officials are proposing an alternative tax for drivers who have bought efficient or electric vehicles that seldom or never stop at the gasoline pump — where government has traditionally collected money to build and fix roads.

    @Leobeer –

    I read headlines like that and can’t help but recall that excellent Thatcher quote “The trouble with Socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.”

    They aren’t getting enough from their current taxes, so they want to invent new ones to hit us even harder.

    I just got a work email about my rising SS tax, so I’m feeling a little angry this morning.
