    The comment that you allowed to caption this article lays bare your bias. Perhaps you didn’t take time to listen to the whole articulate, factual and thought provoking speech. This not antisemite this is prohumanity, it is brave in your face presentation of a rebuttal of MSM brainwashed couch potatoe, give me the facts quickly so I don’t have to think into storage wars, or swamp people.
    Your depection of a honest, heart felt presentation lumps you in with the msm talking heads that you seem to hipocritically berate. I sincerely hope that my writing gets to Jim so he can see how his normally insightful site has or has potential to devolve. The constant bowing down of our leaders in the U.S. to the Israel interest and lobbying group is upheld by the msm and leads to a thinking in our country that Israel can do no wrong. Your behaviour puts in question the validity of the arguement that the internet and blogs such as this can transform information bias. The speech is great but you should be ashamed of your introductions.

    @llpoh, I’m with ya. I wish that entertainers would just stick to entertaining. With Waters, I’ve always got the impression that if another father had died and his had lived, that would have been ok with him. He seems sincere enough but he just rubs me the wrong way.

    I think there is an even bigger issue here besides Roger Waters personal interpretation and opinion of the facts and history which I disagree with and would typically just say BLOW ME in true TBP style.. In his whatever you want to call his rant, Waters appears not only to grant the UN final judgement but recognizes the UN as the supreme “rule of law” of the world! VERY chilling if anyone thinks about that. As it stands now the US has only a percentage of sway in the UN which I find disproportionate when comparing to other UN members of the general assembly. If you were to look at factors like land mass that some of these countries have theres good reason why larger countries command more influence. Besides the fact that we are the baddest biggest alpha male in the pack and put these little assholes in there place as needed if one were to buy in the twisted logic of the UN pretty soon Yemen or Somalia will be telling us what to do! The thought of that is just sooooooo silly that I find the Roger Waters rant beneath the bar of BLOW ME as Roger Waters of his own free will decided to lick the assholes of Arabs and swallow. If anyone finds my opinion disrespectful let me clearly state it is meant to be disrespectful as Roger Waters has disrespected himself, much to my dismay as I have enjoyed his lifes work over the years and yes he did disappoint me. He should have stuck to music and kept his big mouth shut!

    ZA, I’m going to attempt some civility for the sake of the TBP. I have watched the Palestinians wage war on Israel for 30+ years after losing a misguided war that they endorsed. They have indoctrinated their children from birth into racist hatred. Committed their generously donated funds from “other people” to war. It just goes on and on….at this point I have little sympathy for a people who are totally committed to hate and war.
    Maybe if you could point out or list positive contributions made by the Palestinian people to society and the world at large my opinion might start to be swayed but for you to rant on about how its all Israels fault will not cut it anymore. It is not the fault of Israel or their lobbyists. It is directly the fault and responsibility of the Palestinians for their own actions and lack of. You and the Palestinians will need positive action and quit shoving the blame unto Israel and no buts about it.

    zara, what chaps my ass is the way entertainers use the professional fame and position to further their own personal/political agenda. There are millions of people with equally valid opinions who are largely ignored because they are not famous. I’ll admit that Waters has a *slightly* better grasp on reality than most entertainers but he is just as bad as the FSA when it comes to his desire for govt or some higher power to force everyone to fix things HE has a problem with. Fuck him! Waters is a brilliant musician and songwriter. Pink Floyd is in fact my favorite band but his views and opinions are no more valid than your or mine.

    The same sort of shit puts people like Oprah, Donald Trump and Bill Mahr in positions to unfairly influence the outcome of elections. The problem is compounded by mouth breathing, drooling Honey Boo Boo watching idiots who have no fucking idea what their “heroes” are actually talking about yet they agree with and vote based on what Michael Moore or Chris Rock told them.

    Fuck the Palestinians too! Those fuckers do absolutely nothing to help themselves and they give as good as they get. When Palestinians stop teaching their children the terroristic, jihadist ways of radical islam as valid solutions to their problems, I might have some sympathy for them. Roger Waters speaks of them being allowed to live in dignity and peace. What a bunch of horseshit! When they are not busy killing Jews and other infidels, they turn on each other and dutifully kill each other because they are Sunni or Shiite or some other *lower* form of life. I remember years ago when Israel was either forced or conceded to give up so small piece of land to the Palestinians. This land had plenty of buildings, infrastructure and other desirable features and it was just handed over to them. The first thing the Palestinians did was DESTROY everything in site including modern, massive greenhouses used to grow food. They destroyed it all because it was tainted by Jews. So fuck the Palestinians. When they begin to act in their own self interest, I’ll begin to care a little more. Until then, I consider them lower than animals.

    CNN said tonight that the main negative on Chuck Hagel’s nomination for Sec. of Defence is his record on Israel. That took my breath away. The arrogance of that comment speaks volumes on why alternative media is booming. But I also can’t help wondering if Obama is sending a message on his administrations relationship with the ‘Lobby’. Wouldn’t that be a shocker. .
