PUT ME IN CHARGE

This was evidently written by a 21 year old female from Texas. I guess there are some Millenials that get it.

This was in the Waco Tribune Herald, Waco , TX , Nov 18, 2011

PUT ME IN CHARGE . . .

Put me in charge of food stamps. I’d get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho’s, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I’d do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we’ll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, or smoke, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your home” will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a “government” job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the “common good..”

Before you write that I’ve violated someone’s rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be “demeaning” and ruin their “self esteem,” consider that it wasn’t that long ago that taking someone else’s money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people’s mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

AND While you are on Gov’t subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes, that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Gov’t welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.

I agree with OF and I’ve proposed this in the past (but not at TBP).
If you are a net tax consumer, then you cannot vote. If you want to be a voter rather than a parasite, then get a real job. This proposal would apply to everyone who the taxpayer supports: welfare recipients, Social Security recipients, cops, soldiers, government school teachers, street department workers, etc.
At my job I can’t accept even a pen or a calendar from any of our customers or vendors so there won’t be even the appearance of any conflict of interest, but politicians can and do buy votes with money stolen from the productive class, which they lavish upon the parasite class.

Regarding the ability or “right” to vote, I would go one step further. I would let ONLY the people who actually own either property or a business vote; people who actually have skin in the game. That would go a long way in straightening things out, AFTER it all falls apart and gets reassembled that is. Only by replacing all 535 Congressmen and Senators and starting over with term limits on all of them will we begin to make things better. Kick all lobbyists out of DC and make lobbying Congress illegal and punishable and ENFORCE it! Furthermore, people need to be put behind bars for their past deeds too, like John Corzine for example. Corzine makes Madoff look like a beginner when it comes to raping people of their money. And since Madoff wasn’t “politically connected”, he got sent to the Big House for the rest of his foreseeable life. How’s that for justice?

I would add to her suggestions, if you are morbidly obese, you should not get SNAP benefits. Her suggestions, and similar suggestions by millions of other people will never happen. The FSA are the democratic power base, which Obama spent trillions building up the last four years into a majority voting block. Their only purpose in life is to reproduce and vote, everything else is supplied by the socialist criminals in Washington.

The deficit/debt and subsequent collapse will solve this problem. From nothing comes nothing. The FSA will rob, rape and murder so as not to work, and nothing will change until the whole mess collapses.

My program for welfare recipients would be much crueler.

No computers, iPods, cell phones, iPads, flat screens, and all the rest of that electronic crap allowed. It would be black and white TVs only. No remotes, cable, or antennas allowed. Rabbit ears only. The picture would be fuzzy and grainy no matter how you adjusted the rabbit ears and would “flip over” every 5 seconds.

Several reruns would be allowed in addition to Lawrence Welk, such as Mitch Miller and Spike Jones. Guests would include Steve Lawrence and Edie Gourmet and The Captain and Tennile. The only ad permitted, which would be broadcast every 5 minutes, would be Dinah Shore belting out the jingle, “See the USA in your Chevrolet.”

    That ought to do it.

Firstly, Outtahere, the lobbyists would lobby to keep their jobs. The Lobbyist Lobby would find the money to win. Congress loves the lobbyists, they are a primary source of campaign funding. So the laws against lobbying would be written by lobbyists. It is all very circular, and goes nowhere. I’m not disagreeing with the sentiment of your statements, but the simple practicality does not allow for it to happen.

Secondly, SSS, Bunny Ear receptors produce 720p. I would know, because I own five dollar bunny ears. So downgrading to bunny ears isn’t really so bad, it only limits the number of channels you get. I challenge you to FIND black and white CRT televisions. Probably 5 dollars at a pawn shop, FIVE DOLLARS. Black and white televisions don’t exist anymore, the scrap copper wiring is worth more on a commodity basis now.

But yeah, if I weren’t married, this chick would be a target, for sure. She sounds like she knows what’s up.

You may disagree with the way define it. A petiton is a request, while a lobby is an effort to influence. There is a difference there.

Here is one definition/descriptio I found re lobbying in the US: “Lobbying in the United States describes paid activity in which special interests hire well-connected professional advocates, often lawyers, to argue for specific legislation in decision-making bodies such as the United States Congress.”

Petitioning my fat ass, and no way in hell that I can see the Framers intended that to happen, and no way in hell that I can see that “the right of the people … to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” protects that activity.

Plus it clearly says grievances – lobbyists very frequently do not have grievances – they are attempting to influence decision-making that positively benefits their benefactors.

Can a corporation be your co-pilot?

We’ll soon find out thanks to Citizens United and Jonathan Frieman of San Rafael, California. Mr. Frieman was pulled over for driving alone in the carpool lane. He argued to the officer that he did actually have a passenger. In the form of articles of incorporation. Upset (and reasonably so) over the Citizens United ruling, Frieman says he had been trying for years to get pulled over, ticketed and get a chance to take his argument to court that corporations and people are not the same. His mission was accomplished in October when he was pulled over for driving alone in an HOV lane, ticketed and slapped with a $481 minimum fine.

    LLPOH, Kill Bill, et al.

All excellent points against lobbyists, none of which pass constitutional muster. In a court of law, you lose.

Look, “redress of grievances” has long been interpreted by the courts with a very wide broad meaning. Let me give you an example: tax breaks to oil companies.

Oil lobbyist: “Congressman, we spend hundreds of millions of dollars in just finding oil deposits. Everyone knows oil is critical to our economy. We should be able to write those costs off not only as a business expense, but also EVERYTHING RELATED TO THOSE COSTS. No other business has these type of exhorbitant investment expenses. Please help us with legislation to deal with all these expenses and provide tax incentives for us to continue to explore for oil.”

Congressman: “I agree and will introduce legislation to enable you to do that.” And Congress thus delivers on tax breaks for oil companies, which it can change at the drop of a hat.

Well, the oil companies got the special tax breaks they wanted. Who benefitted from this “lobbying”? Oil executives, employees of the oil companies, the general public (which stills enjoys some of the cheapest gas prices in the Western World), the federal and state treasuries which tax every gallon of gas? Who? Tell me who?

I submit it may be all of the above. All because a group of people hired by the oil companies presented a convincing case for tax breaks. And it matters not one whit whether the lobbyists “greased the skids” with a variety of incentives to the congressmen they approached, such as a vacation to the Carribean or a smoking piece of ass. There’s a simple answer to the congressman who falls for that. You get what you vote for.

SSS – great pic. I thought I had my middle finger up in that. Musta been a different case.

We all know that constitutional law is currently political as much as legal. When the left-leaning court overthrows the right to bear arms because that right only applies to a militia, we will again see that in action.

Laws have nothing to do with right, wrong, truth or justice. No way I can imagine the framers wanted to protect the scum-sucking lobbyists that exist today.

Again, I know what a limited legal interpretation of the right to petition has said. Does not make it right.

  53. IraK, who loves the State as you should too, says:

I disagree with work for welfare, those on assistance living in military barracks, and dependant Americans losing their right to vote.

This is a rich country. All Americans should have a birthright of adequate housing, an average standard of living, and the fruits of a good life. The United States should be just like a family where those who work and produce more subsidize, in part, those who aren’t so fortunate.

Most of you people who comment on TBP seem to feel entitled to earn and spend more while contributing less to your country and its citizens. A perfect example is the Administrator. He and his family live in the suburbs, he works for a major university and does well, he has a lot of freetime to bitch, he has a summer home at the beach, his son attends a major university, and he seems to have substantial investments, especially in gold.

A while back I suggested that the Administrator be more generous toward poor Black people who he ridicules frequently (30 Blocks of Squalor). I suggested that he adopt a Black family and help those Philadelphia poor – but no, I was just ridiculed, maybe not by the Administrator but certainly by others. Don’t you care for your fellow countrymen?

You TBP people and the Administrator need to get away from your outmoded idea that this nation is just a collection of individuals constantly at odds with each other as they try to scratch out a living.
You and we need to cooperate with and help our fellow citizens.

I think I’m a good example for you readers and the Administrator of a what a modern American should be. I’m an employer of several servants who might otherwise be out of work. I give generously to the right country, its causes, and the best political candidates. I support our government, my religion, and the establishment. Unlike the Administrator and some of you who seem so disaffected, I love America and it’s institutions. I suggest that if you TBP readers love the State like you love yourself, your life will be be much happier and you’ll be more successful.

I don’t know where to start with your posted comments, nor do I know whether or not someone has doppelganged you just to start a shitstorm here. So I’ll keep it short in reply to your comment, “The United States should be just like a family where those who work and produce more subsidize, in part, those who aren’t so fortunate.”

That will work, until it doesn’t, which is right about ………. now.

I really like what she says. That gal has some good ideas. All of them are delusional. If she wants to see her ideas to have even the slightest chance of being implemented the very first step that must be taken is to kill the bankers. And that would also assume that in the mean time the social, political, and monetary systems of the world don’t implode and unleash thirteen kinds of hell on a planet populated largely by morons, delusional fools, criminals and ignorant bystanders.

The grid of tyranny, institutionalized dependance and systemic social controls derives all its might and energy from the Banker owned and operated power plants. They are the power behind the assigned power. The rule behind the law. The real wealth behind the artificial wealth, the true evil behind subordinated evil.

Her answer is to get a job. What jobs? Who the fuck is going to employ the FSA even if there is a job. Who is going to employ some guy with lighting bolts tattooed on his face that can only speak in sentences that contain one or more of the words Yoh, dude, bitchez, hoes, dog and motherfucker?

Do you really want the FSA to do Government work or clean the streets? Not if you want clean streets.

There never will be enough jobs again and certainly not for most of the FSA. Go to your local court house and observe the low level workers known as government employees. See how fucked up they are? We all ready have jobs for idiots and they are filled. But they actually can fill out a form correctly better than 60% of the time, can sometimes answer a question and mostly show up for work. Most of them can read and write to some degree or another too. So you want to have the even more fucked up general FSA morons doing those jobs? Right. Lets put the “30 blocks people” in government service in exchange for substance level food and FEMA camp style shelter with no big screen TVs and no pre-owned BMW’s. Let’s see how that works out.

Let the FSA wander in to a church and let the religious deal with them. Let the sisters give them Pope Phones and Air Jesus Athletic shoes. Lets see what happens when the Mega Church preachers are faced with directly pouring out bails of their cash on the hungry and sick instead of funding a spectacular new addition to their prayer palace. Let’s see how long all that will last.

Not a snow balls chance in hell anything like that will happen. We will stay on the same track day in and day out and things will just get worse. So will the rest of the dumb ass world. How can it not when the world is run by imbeciles, criminals and evil bastards who are all clusterfuckiing like crazy.

Then one day by surprise and probably for a reason no one is even thinking about the SWHTF. The world will go ape shit wild. Most everyone will perish and and all these ideas, issues and solutions will be for nothing.

After all we are Doomed. But at least there will be no more FSA or cheap Chinese shit for them to buy with your money. That is If your still alive and there is still such a thing as money.

It’s Doom for all fast or Doom for all slow. Doom is the real deal. And everyone will get their fair share of it. Wonder what all those progressive thinking folks who want fair distribution and equality will say when they finally realize that the only way for us all to be equal is when we are all equally impoverished, miserable and stupid.

Get a job and be responsible is a great idea – Except there are not enough jobs out there in this shit bag economy to employ all who need employment. Also, any one of you commenters ever try to support yourself and a wife and a child on a ’7-11 convenience store’ or Walmart pay check ? You could not support yourself working three of these shit ass jobs ! I know several men who were making high 5 and 6 figure saleries and have been ‘shit canned’ do to down sizing, ect. Now they are in their mid to late 50′s working their balls off at shit ass jobs while they suck down their life’s savings and liquidate their 401K’s just to stay afloat.

IN SHORT – THE GET PEOPLE WORKING AND RESPONSIBLE IDEA IS A VERY COMPLICATED PROBLEM. IT TAKES MORE THAN ‘JUST A JOB’ FOR PEOPLE TO ‘BOOT STRAP’ THEIR WAY UP THE FOOD CHAIN AND THIS ECONOMY WILL NOT PROVIDE WHAT IS NEEDED. TO ALL OF YOU HERE ON TBP THAT ARE DOING WELL FINANCIALLY – CONSIDER YOURSELF VERY VERY LUCKY – YOU MAY BE THE NEXT ONE TO HIT THE SKIDS THROUGH NO FAULT OF YOUR OWN.

    Jimi d,
I don’t know for sure but seeing that she’s she’s from Texas and she’s 21 she might be highly fuckable. There is no real solution to help the institutionalized dependents and the systemically reduced at least not over the long haul. Even those who are doing well financially or have real jobs or business’s are for the most part a lot more dependent on the system than they would would ever think. The system will fail devolve into a draconian rule over the impoverished mass’s and then completely fall apart into anarchy and Mad Max chaos.

When you consider the resources of the world and there use (abuse) by men, the distribution of those resources and the competition of nations for them the future looks grim. Now look at the monetary, political and social state of our nation and most others. Think about the shear numbers of mouths to feed on this planet. And still we wastes vast amounts of energy, sweat, money and time on plastic bullshit and solutions to problems that don’t address the cause of the problem. Solutions that only add burden and complexity to massively intertwined and interdependent hopeless horseshit we already have. What outcome other than a total breakdown is even practical or possible? Civilization is in for a shake up. Humanity is in for a great cull. Once those big glorious titties that suckle the FSA and for that matter all of mankind dry up what else can possibly happen? And we worry about jobs for the FSA who don’t want jobs that don’t exist anyway.

In short we are Doomed. We have been on the course for Doom for a long time. That course will accelerate and not change until humans are counted in millions rather than billions.

“Also, any one of you commenters ever try to support yourself and a wife and a child on a ’7-11 convenience store’ or Walmart pay check ?”

Of course not. It is just STUPID to have kids when you are in that situation – if you want to reproduce, understand that just as it was your choice to have kids, it is 100% your responsibility to provide for them. If you’re working in a 7-11 or Wal-Mart, then work your way up to a better-paying job first.

It’s not about whether someone “deserves” to have kids – I wish the word “deserve” could be removed from the English language altogether. It’s that you don’t have the resources to pay for them yourself, and it’s not “everyone else’s” obligation to pay for the consequences of your choices, and they don’t have the money to raise your kids either. Did you ever stop to think that maybe your neighbors are working pretty hard already, just trying to take care of themselves and their own families?

Read Bruce’s comment above, about the sheer number of mouths to feed on this planet. Who the hell are you to create more of them and do nothing but sit there with your hand out, demanding that everyone else support your kids, when that is YOUR job.

I realize there are many who would rather not work at any job. I meant that aside from the moral, spiritual and humanly bankrupt good people do ‘fall down the economic ladder’. Today more are doing so than ever before.
