The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, “You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I’m just not close enough to get the job done.”

Eddie says:
I’ve been reading Neil Young’s new autobiography. It’s fascinating. For a rock star, he is a guy with a lot of substance.
He’s spent years developing an electric car…not a subcompact, but a ginormous boat (actually the prototype isa ’59 Lincoln).
He’s also developing an mp3 format with much better sound fidelity than iTunes, called Puretone.
And he can actually write…very well. I was surprised.

Stucky says:
David Bowie releases new vid on his 66th birthday.
——————————————————————–
Unsurprisingly, 10 years since he was last heard, Bowie’s voice sounds older and more world-weary. The melancholic song sees him reviewing his time in Berlin – where he created some of his most groundbreaking music in the 1970s – as he lists some of his haunts with the repeated line “just walking the dead”.
And in the video directed by Tony Oursler, with the musician’s pensive face projected on to a puppet, he appears to be almost biting back tears as he looks back on his life.
——————————————————————–
If you’re a Bowie fan, I think you’ll like the song;

SSS says:
“Heart of Gold” is a good song. Good, but not great. Backup singers Linda Ronstadt, a Tucson native, and James Taylor in the studio version, which can be heard here.
Neil Young is a one-hit wonder and eats shit politically. He should have stayed with Crosby and the gang.
