Ashley Broadway, who in December was denied membership to Fort Bragg’s officers’ spouse club because her spouse is a woman, has been named Fort Bragg’s 2013 spouse of the year and offered full membership to the club.
This week, the Department of Defense honored those sacrifices by making a decision that will advance gender equality in the U.S. armed forces: Women will no longer be barred from serving front-line combat roles.

When men don’t act like men are supposed to act, then women have to assume the role. They don’t want to…at least not initially. But they will do it if nobody steps up to the plate.
So, who do you blame for that, if anyone? I blame the male half of the population. It has been abdication of responsibility that has caused the problem. It is true that it has to do with the destruction of our institutions through intervention by the state.
But at the same time it seems like a couple of new genrations of men in my lifetime have also bought into this new and dangerouis behavior…willingly neutering themselves by giving up their most important responsibilities…the leadership of their families and the dominant role in their sexual relationships. Those two things are tied up with each other, imho.
If this society does come apart at the seams, maybe that, at east, will change.

Eddie, my theory holds that strong men in their youth are lured off into wars not of the making by an inherent sense of duty ,honor and country of which glory plays no small role and either killed outright or physically or emotionally crippled forcing the beta male and emotion driven feminista to step up to the plate and accept the role of leadership, and thus a bureaucracy of merit-less incompetence is borne.

If the BSA does this they will loose a lot of sponsor churches. Might get ugly as the BSA does not own anything at the troop level. When we bought a new trailer for the scouts it became property of the church for use by the scouts. Same thing with the out building for storage and all the projects on the church.
