“The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first.”Thomas Jefferson

“Nothing is so permanent as a temporary government program.” Dr. Milton Friedman, Nobel-Prize-winning economist.

“The ultimate result of shielding men from the effects of folly, is to fill the world with fools.” — Herbert Spencer

Despite their degrees, résumés and pretensions, the Establishment is no longer made up of  ‘policy’ types.  Most of its members are placemen. Their expertise is in becoming and remaining members of the Establishment.” — William S. Lind

“There’s seldom been control of a new federal agency that wasn’t sold by the most efficient fund-raising politicians to the wealthiest pressure groups within four years of its inception.” — Bert Rand

“The government is merely a servant — merely a temporary servant; it cannot be its prerogative to determine what is right and what is wrong, and decide who is a patriot and who isn’t.  Its function is to obey orders, not originate them…” — Mark Twain

“It is not the function of our Government to keep the citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to keep the Government from falling into error.”Robert H. Jackson (1892-1954), U.S. Judge, in American Communications Association v. Douds, May 1950

“When government does more than guard against the initiation of force, inevitably it becomes a means of theft and bamboozlement.” — Donald J. Boudreaux

I listen to POTUS (People of the US) on Sirus radio.

The radio personalities on this channel all share the same belief. Government is here to protect us all from making mistakes, government is here to create jobs, government is here to take care of us in our old age.

Whether it’s from taking a loan we can’t repay, buying a chunk of cheese that may be bad, or investing in the wrong retirement fund. It’s up to the government to save us from ourselves.

These people actually believe that the government cares about the little people, that everything they do is because they have our best interests in mind. The callers? It’s all over, these drones believe this drivel.
It’s mind blowing to listen to the growing majority of people who don’t understand that to learn, you must first make a mistake and if you don’t learn, then you fail.

It’s the fucking Barney generation. That stupid progressive liberal purple dinosaur has taught our children that actions have no consequence, big government is the answer.

    It’s over.

I can listen to that station for like 10 minutes at a time before I am gripped with a sadness to the core of my being. I used to get mad but now I feel the job ” they ” have set out to do is complete.

    We are done.

Corporations are legal fictions created by the State to shield executives from liability… It’s like if I had a little hand-puppet, and I went to rob a bank, and the hand-puppet held the little gun and told people to hand over all the money, and then the hand-puppet grabbed the money and ran out, and then I got caught and I handed the hand-puppet over the police and then the police tried the hand-puppet, put the hand-puppet in jail, and I get to keep all the money.”
