MIAMI DADE OFFICERS WORKING HARD

This one is flat out astounding.

It’s considered one of the worst incidents of delinquency in the department’s history where the officers are accused of failing to respond to emergency calls, pretending to be on calls when they weren’t and falsifying police records.

All of the accused make up the entire squad assigned to patrol a large part of Kendall from Bird Road to Southwest 104th Street. They were all caught on surveillance tape drinking coffee -running errands or making out with their girlfriends instead of doing their jobs.

In all —the investigation finds 134 violations– The most egregious involving an emergency call in which a 5-month old who was unconscious and in need of medical attention. No comment from the officers- who are fighting to get their jobs back.

I guess you forgot, they’re union workers (they aren’t expected to work).

@Yojimbo: You have it all wrong.

These fine upstanding first responders are merely on their union mandated “break”.

Also, I am sure there is something in their union contracts about being filmed on surveillence cameras that makes any evidence gathered therein totally irrelevant. The facility filming them will likely find themselves sued for illegal wiretapping or something.

Even if caught red-handed, these guys will likely go out on FULL PAY, with no threat to their life-long benefits, while some kind of (bullshit) administrative “review” (=bribing their supervisors) goes on.

Obama will say, “If I had a son that was a police officer, I would not want to see him bothered on his union break or have his actions filmed on a security camera”.

Dude, you need to get with the program in Obama’s Amerika.

I go to Miami often and I feel very safe when I am there. But then I do carry a .45 Kimber while I am there visiting. Glad I learned many years ago to not rely on cops.

Bullock: at least you can legally carry your .45 in MIA or anywhere else in Florida. Try that in Shitcago, Kali, or the Empire State and you go to jail.
