    Only if your dad spends $7 trillion dollars, lets 100 million people sit on the couch all day and eat free bon bons, gives ‘em free housing, internet, healthcare, meds, transportation, and free phones. Redistributes money from people that work to people who don’t. Protects criminals that steal $1.4 billion from farmers, and whose wife is a wookie.

    This is a perfect example of why entertainers should stick to entertainment! He is a funny guy but his politics force me to tune him out.

    I’m not surprised by his mom and dad reference. He has to speak in those terms so that his predominantly FSA audience will understand him, although the *dad* reference might make a few of them scratch their heads.

    I wonder if his *owned* ancestors, endured their burden just so he could have his very own Boss man in 2013! That is some progressive thinking there Mr. Rock! Don’t quit your day job!

    TO THE EDITOR:

    Republicans and “so-called” conservatives are at it again. They are claiming that the Constitution gives people the right to have guns without the permission of the government. If that were true, then how could New York and Chicago have laws against it?
    We Democrats are sick and tired of Republicans constantly using the Constitution to cover up their true plans, which are to make us all afraid of everyone else. Our great president came from a civilized part of the country where there is strict gun control, and he is only trying to bring the benefits of that more modern way of living to the rest of us. I don’t know the exact statistics, but I’m quite certain that Chicago is a lot safer that Morehead City, when it comes to gun violence.

    But do Republicans and conservatives listen to the voice of reason? No, of course not. All they want to do is whine and complain about how gun control and wealth redistribution violate the Constitution, as if the Constitution were all that great, anyway. There are a lot of things that need to be changed about the Constitution, I’d say, and President Obama needs to change it.

    The Republicans are just trying to stand in the way, because the president is black. They even dared to question whether he was born in this country. I think all this demonstrates that the Constitution needs to be amended when it comes to the qualifications for being president. Right now, it says that a person has to be 35 years old and be a natural born citizen. Well, that is obviously unfair because there are a great many otherwise qualified people who cannot run for president because their mothers had to have a C-section. But because the Constitution was written a hundred years ago, nobody even thought of the discrimination that would result from a doctor having to deliver a baby in this unnatural way. Now that we Democrats are in control of the government, that’s just one more thing we should change in our drive to make life fair.

    Yojimbo’s correct; this only demonstrates a slave mentality. “We need a Mother/Father to look after us.” It assumes we are dependent on higher, benevolent powers. But we all know the government is anything BUT benevolent.

    DC: We are slaves. The advantage the poor bastards being driven with whips to build pyramids and pick cotton had over us is they at least knew they were slaves. Most of our countrymen operate under the illusion they are “free.” Our freedoms and comforts are what are tolerated and the restraints are what can be placed on us without rupturing the illusion and risking a rebellion.

    TL: I think a majority, even if a thin one, sees the government as a threat to their freedoms and liberties. I think because of TSA they feel bullied a little bit and discouraged, but I don’t think they really know what to do about it.

    CW: There are no more citizens.

    We are, at best, subjects. At worst, we are enemies — and not enemies by our own choice, but by the choice of the state. The federal government chose to spy on us without warrants. They chose to decree their right to kill us or lock us up without due process. They chose to send militarized police to kick down our doors. They chose to destroy the Bill of Rights. They chose to enable and coddle the Wall Street looters who destroyed (and are continuing to destroy) the country’s economy. And now they’re choosing, once again, to push their same-old-same-old agenda to disarm us.

    A “government of the people” doesn’t do any of that to citizens. Only to subjects or enemies.

    At the same time, of course, the government choses to grant various boons — everything from food stamps to giving people official consent to relationships that are none of the government’s business in the first place.

    So for the moment, I’d say the country is becoming more deeply divided between three factions: government and its cronies; pampered but vulnerable subjects; and an increasingly angry minority who see to the heart of all t

Jason and Annelia Black of San Diego County said the person in the rabbit costume also acted impatiently as their young kids posed for a picture at the Anaheim theme park. The Blacks, however, said it was a different scene when a Caucasian family arrived. “There were two other kids that came up. The rabbit showered them. Hugged them, kissed them, posed with them, and took pictures. Meanwhile, that made my kids feel horrible,” said Jason. The family immediately filed a complaint with Disneyland officials.

    Once in a while, a perfect blog comes along. They are usually few and far between. This, right here, is one of them. The Black family, who is literally The Black Family because that’s their last name, suing Disneyland because the White Rabbit, again, literally the White Rabbit, wouldn’t touch their kids. You cannot script a more perfect racist story. Its got it all. Whites vs Blacks literally, figuratively with children and rabbits and Disneyland. Its like the Niggar Family from Chappelle’s Show except this is real fucking life folks.

    The White Rabbit refused to touch the Black children. He hated the Blacks. Didn’t wanna even touch the Blacks. Now obviously the reason its really funny is because he’s actually a huge fucking racist bunny rabbit and didn’t wanna touch them because they were “lower-case b” black, but good Lord the coincidence is amazing. Hey Mr. and Mrs. Black I know you’re pretty offended the White Rabbit was having a grand old time with the caucasian family and wouldn’t touch your kids, but you should see how he treated the Wetback family. He wouldn’t even take pictures with the Wetback kids
