I especially like listening to this woman repeat the LAPD remarks captured on the audio. The man she interviews (former FBI assistant director Tom Fuentes) can’t explain the comments, and says that the audio “should have been encrypted”. Nice.

Not only did the LEOs believe that the comments should have been encrypted, the San Bernadino guys felt that all tweeting should be stopped and directed that all news helicopters vacate the air space.

Another Waco, just with a lower body count.

I don’t believe this for one second.

I heard on the news this morning that the San Bernardino Sheriff swears they did not start the fire. It was always burning.

“We believe that this investigation is over, at this point, and we’ll just need to move on from here,” San Bernardino Sheriff John McMahon told reporters.

    Sort of like Benghazi eh?

“At this point, what does it matter?”

What would be the point in flushing him out with smoke or gas? They would have just executed him when he ran out. This cops had already decided this guy was going to die as evidenced by the civilians that were nearly shot to death by the cops during the manhunt.

The fucking President and military now have the power to kill Americans on mere suspicion, without formal charges or a trial. The LAPD was feeling left out. Before long, all police agencies will have this authority. Going forward there will be a mad dash to encrypt all law enforcement communications. Book it.

California is one fucked up state.

Students Told to Stop ‘USA!’ Chant, Take Off American Flag Bandanas

Four California high-school students were reportedly suspended for chanting “U.S.A! U.S.A!” and wearing American flag bandanas during a basketball game. While their punishment has since been rescinded, school administrators said “the incident is far from over.”

Oxnard Union School District superintendent Gabe Soumakian told Fox News Radio that “we need to pursue this further” and “work with teachers and students and the community about the concept of cultural proficiency.” Soumakian and Camarillo High School principal Glenn Lipman felt that the students’ actions might have had racist undertones since the schools have large Hispanic student populations.

“We wanted to make sure [their actions weren't] racially motivated, and I told the kids I just want to be sensitive to the feelings of everybody,” Lipman said. “If we’re doing it for patriotism, that’s fine. But if we’re doing it for something else that’s racially motivated, I’m not going to allow that.”

But the students deny any racial element to their chants. “We’ve done it always,” one student said. “It’s something we do. It’s the same group of friends. We’re all very patriotic.” The four students gained support from their peers: More than 100 students gathered by the school’s flagpole the following morning to protest in patriotic clothing.

    @bb -

    Consider this:

“When you endorse the application of a radical state power because the specific target happens to be someone you dislike and think deserves it, you’re necessarily institutionalizing that power in general. That’s why political leaders, when they want to seize extremist powers or abridge core liberties, always choose in the first instance to target the most marginalized figures: because they know many people will acquiesce not because they support that power in theory but because they hate the person targeted. But if you cheer when that power is first invoked based on that mentality – I’m glad Obama assassinated Awlaki without charges because he was a Bad Man! – then you lose the ability to object when the power is used in the future in ways you dislike (or by leaders you distrust), because you’ve let it become institutionalized.”

I am not sure anyone here is calling Dorner a hero, but what was at stake that day wasn’t Dorner’s fate, it was one additional shovel of dirt on the grave of a nation of laws and ideas. No big deal for some, perhaps many, Americans — but then how do you proceed to define due process or basic rights in this new nation of fiat and force?

It would have been nice to hear the whole story on this. I think if Dorner really killed the Captain’s daughter (and he probably did) then he undermined his whole cause, he should’ve stuck to Cops…then the asymmetrical warfare bullshit would have made more sense.

That being said, he was very calculating. He didn’t kill everyone he came across.

That’s if you can even believe any official accounts.

Before any of you cop lovers jump down my throat, I want to make it clear I don’t think it would be cool to just randomly kill cops. It just would’ve have made him more consistent.
