Well, here’s your champion former bank regulator, who I knew would just be a “yes” vote for every stupid proposal of Obama. Where’s the tough banking legislation from her? Nowhere, of course.
Notice the hyperbole – “military-grade assault weapons” and “Rambo-style high capacity magazines”.
She’s just another stupid, Liberal, Statist useful idiot.
Note: The bold sections are my emphasis.
Dear (Yojimbo),
Thank you for contacting me about gun control legislation.
Like millions of people across the country, I was heartbroken by the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School last December. I do not know how to explain the deaths of twenty innocent children or why six heroic teachers had to make the ultimate sacrifice for their students.
I also grew up in family that used guns. My older brothers hunted, and I learned to shoot when I was in grade school. I have great respect for the role that hunting and guns play in many communities across the country and believe there is a place for responsible gun ownership in our society. But I also don’t think anyone needs military-grade assault weapons to hunt or Rambo-style high capacity magazines to protect their family from intruders.
That’s why I support a comprehensive set of reforms to reduce gun violence. I strongly support reauthorizing the expired ban on federal assault weapons and high capacity magazines. I also support closing the loopholes in federal background checks for gun shows and private sales. The President has put forward a slate of proposals to help address gun violence and gun safety, and I support those efforts as well.
There is no one way to stop gun violence, and there is certainly room for disagreement on the steps that we should take. But I hope that we can agree that we have a responsibility to ourselves and to our children to take the steps we can to stop the violence. I believe that a reauthorized assault weapons ban and the President’s proposals represent a responsible path forward. I will keep your thoughts in mind as I continue to look for other steps we can take to protect our children and families from these terrible tragedies. I believe that is my responsibility as a United States Senator — and as a mother and grandmother.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Warren
United States Senator

I cannot express how much I hate the Liberal idealogues that I have to live with and be lectured by in this fucking state. Now they will vote in Ed Markey, one of the most liberal Congressmen in this state as our other puked stained Senator. I have all I can do not to go into a Dorner like rage every time I see, here and read anything from the politicians in this state. Now Mike Capuano wants to run for Governor, and will probably win with the strong backing of the unions he so cherishes and bestows largesse upon. I had a long talk with the owner of our company last night, during a late night budget session. He can only shake his head when faced with these sames fascists. As he stated if they had to stroke a check for each of the insidious ideas that they foist upon us they might not be so anxious to pass some these bills. Even my 16 year own daughter knows clearly that the 2nd Amendment has nothing, NOTHING to do with hunting and can cite it line and verse. How I hate these people.
Thank you for letting me rant,
Bob.

I used to admire Elizabeth Warren. She used to be interested in going after the HMO’s, since more than 600,000 people a year declare bankruptcy because of healthcare bills (all of which had health insurance). She tried to get credit card companies to cease and desist their practice of usury by charging 29.9% interest rates. In short, she used to be an advocate for the average joe.
Not anymore. She’s a progressive liberal POS, trying to take away our freedom like every other POS liberal. She will be swinging from the lamposts like all the other criminal politicians and liberals.

Elizabeth Warren was ALWAYS a Marxist. It’s clear from her pedigree.
She’s a law prof at Harvard – Marxism is the litmus test at Harvard – non-Marxists need not apply (though a black, female non-Marxist might be considered if they are too far below quotas, also might be a non-marxist associate prof teaching taxation or corporate law a/k/a the hard stuff). Harvard’s thorough in its vetting –
Its not that hard to sniff these people out. Just look into where they came from. Obama flourished in the cesspool of Chicago politics – that means he’s no different from anyone else in that cesspool.
If Ray Lewis claims he’s not a football player you’d say “you played for the Ravens, before that you played football and Miami and before that in high school so, yeah, you’re a football player.” For some reason people want to shut this part of their brains off when it comes to politicians.
One of the quotes of the day on this site from a few days ago was:
“Far more crucial than what we know or do not know is what we do not want to know.”
― Eric Hoffer
People don’t want to know what these politicians are.

Now guys be fair…a lot of Republicant’s are freedom hating POS too .
So far the only one I can recall advocating MORE freedom was Ron Paul. All of the others are all about less freedom and that comes from both sides of the fence !
Read the NDAA,then see who voted for it and you’ll realize who in CONgress is against freedom .

Not just any head shot. You got to get the limbic system, that’s where they ‘live’, never use the rest.
Today, via daily kos, was a message from Robin Kelly, D for Illinois’ 2nd Congressional District —
“In 2012, Chicago and the Southland endured over 500 murders, and yet somehow the NRA thinks that we shouldn’t be taking steps to fix it. That’s just wrong. We’re losing a generation of young people. A generation of architects, a generation of technicians, a generation of dreams unrealized and potential unfulfilled. Enough is enough.”
First, she inadvertently shows that gun control DOESN”T work but wants more of the same. Second, this meme of fighting the NRA is popular with the progressives. What the fuckers forget is there are a lot more pro-gun people that have NO use for the NRA — their special arrangement under the failed DISCLOSE Act was enough to show their cozy, statist relationship with Big Brother. NRA has something like 4.3 million members, let them get defeated — it will still be an uphill battle.
Meanwhile, rationality and facts will not sway those driven by emotion and ideology.

Yesterday, I had an email from some dork at American Family Values, not sure why, but he got this reply:
G’day
I hadn’t heard of the Wilmington event. But “Google is your friend” and I discover “result of a custody dispute that has lasted in our court system for several years” via Bloomberg article. There are more dots to connect and hints of a backstory.
Here in Australia, some years back, we had a massacre by a mentally defective bloke and no time was wasted on a gun control program, many people just accepted the amnesty and turned in their firearms, others adopted the buyback approach. Funny thing about it, though, organized crime tends not to obey the laws. In Melbourne, gun violence continued. Ultimately, the law was relaxed and ownership was again possible, with background checks, limitations on weaponry (no semi-automatic ~assault military-style rifles~) Just bolt-action or lever or pump (my Canadian friend says a Henry pump action .22 rifle will fire continuously if you hold down the trigger while pumping.)
Anyway. The MSM seems to have gone on to other things but not long ago, there were any number of alleged bikie drive-by shootings, some with semi-autos and possibly full auto. Where did those come from?
You probably haven’t seen this video from CT, by a legal immigrant from the Phillipines:
Henson Ong at Gun Violence Prevention Public Hearing – Hartford, CT – 1/28/2013 – YouTube
He makes good points, and a victim of violent crime himself back where he and family came from — particular about “societal breakdown”. Maybe you remember Joe Stack who flew his plane into an IRS building. Or the man who set himself on fire in front of a New Hampshire courthouse after years of court hassles. Or if you have paid any attention at all since 2007-8 to the depravity of the banks particularly in the housing market.
The true depth of fraudclosure is yet to be revealed in all its smarm. Robosigning is still alive and well, houses are being foreclosed with fraudulent documents by those who purport to have standing. And, like in Florida where they brought retired judges (frankly who seem senile) to handle the glut of foreclosures, and who automatically side with banks against the usual villains of “speculators and deadbeats”. The problem is, the original wave of those was washed away in 2008. Meanwhile, criminals like HSBC get a minimal fine (compared to their profit in money laundering and assisting foreign countries in money matters despite sanctions and domestic laws against same). And that same HSBC is one of the bigger players in the ongoing rape using dodgy paper of borrowers who mostly have no clue.
Four hundred years of property law has been trashed for Wall St. and their useful idiots. The conveyancing, property recording is so muddled now, no one can truly know who owns a mortgage, who the servicer is, or even if they actually pay off the mortgage, will they have clear title? Probably not and most people understand little of this debacle.
It is obvious to most people that the rule of law is broken, that high rollers have a Get Out of Jail free card, like Jon “I don’t know where the money went” Corzine of MF Global. The original HAMP served mainly to pass more fees to ‘lenders’ who stonewalled applicants for mortgage modification. Sometimes through three or four applications (same firm) and sent them a bill for exorbitant ‘fees’ over and above the largesse from Uncle Sam.
Now we have the spectacle of the Dorner event in CA. I haven’t caught up with where that stands today. The past few days of seeing LEOs so fearful of their lives that they shoot up civilian vehicles that are not the same make or color (and in one case, the original perp vehicle has already been found burned and abandoned) or ramming another lookalike kinda truck.
What sort of message does it send to the public to shed a tear for the dead kids of Newtown while drones fly often in other countries with a kid body count in the scores? Surely the latter cannot hate us for our freedoms.
Societal breakdown. From top to bottom.
So you’re in trouble, 911 is seconds away, the police are minutes or hours, if they bother to show up at all. And in any case, the Supreme Court has ruled more than once the police have no obligation toward any citizen.
Societal breakdown.
SWAT teams to the wrong address. Oh well. Never mind your dead dogs or children. Or yourself. DHS and its billion bullet purchase, what’s that about? And the others. Fourteen agencies I’ve counted so far that are armed and dangerous. ED having its own SWAT teams and a particularly egregious case of wrong address, leaving an innocent father face down on the lawn in his underwear and his kids wondering WTF?
And then there’s the collateral damage of the never-ending War on Drugs. Which reminds me of the 50,000 death toll in Mexico, a gun-free zone. Right.
Here’s one approach to gun control:
First, Disarm the criminals — drug cartels, gangbangers including Bloods and Crips and the others, common street thugs.
Next, or even concurrently, Disarm the police whose score on collateral damage seems higher than the perps.
Once you have accomplished those tasks, a serious look at legal drug over-prescription in the U.S. How many Millennials have gone through their school years on Ritalin, Xanax, or other convenience. Maybe some analysis of the Psychiatric Profession of Pill Pushers is in order, as some blanket psychological/psychiatric assessment of individuals is flawed. Then again, labelling your enemies and dissidents crazy worked for Stalin. Et bloody cetera, rinse and repeat other places.
When you have solved all the other above problems, then you can consider what to do with law-abiding people — and maybe some consideration of rule by executive order, NDAA, and the rest of the excesses of an out-of-control government.
Have a nice day.

The debate is going entirely in the wrong direction.
I believe that the second amendment protects citizen’s militias, in whatever form they may take. It does not provide a list of arms that are not to be infringed. Given recent events in other parts of the world, and drones flying overhead, I can see the need at some point to become part of a militia that deploys stinger missles, anti-aircraft guns, anti-tank weapons, artillery and other advanced stuff. I believe we should look to ourselves to preserve our freedom. Let’s not ever forget that as a last resort, it is the ability to project violence that holds oppression at bay.

We were warned about this years ago and chose to ignore the warnings. Now we are paying the price. “The Iron Curtain Over America,” by John Beaty, 1952: Wilkinson Publishing Company
America is no longer free and is growing into a large police state. Another failed democracy. Taking the guns away from the people will be the final act to eliminate the resistance into our final state of secular communism.
I don’t know of any peaceful way to avoid our descent into the coming nightmare world described in George Orwell’s 1984. At one time the people of this country lived under laws with morals and principles that were guarded by conscience. Now we live under laws created by self interest that have neither moral or principle foundation and requires no conscience to follow. In fact conscience makes them repulsive to follow.
Hell has come to America and we get to watch it on television as each dissenter of our fate is tracked down and eliminated right in front of our eyes from the view of our living rooms. What a way to instill fear into social consciousness!
When are we going to wake up and act in unity to save our rights and our dignity? Doing nothing is no longer an option to avoid what is coming. The Bolsheviks are agitated and want to complete their mission. Elizabeth Warren makes no bones about it.
