    Government has been working on ‘fixing everything’ for the better part of 100 years. Where a low cost technological fix is possible, say polio or small pox, it can organize and pay for a solution, where the problem is human nature a solution just isn’t possible and anyone who believes it is is really too stupid to hold public office.

    The sheeple truly, truly, trust (even though they deal with thousands of ways that disprove the notion) that the government is here to help us.

    Instead of being scared, they welcome it. Yeah, occasionally, some innocent gets killed by the cops and the neighbors get pissed, but overall, if the government says it is right and good, it is believed.

    Scary stuff for the likes of me.

    I don’t want their help, I want their indifference. I can help myself.

    Seems our 70% Christian valued population has turned their back on that one. God helps those that help themselves. I’ll take it one further for them, he turns his back on those that demand others do it for them.

    No wonder we are so screwed.

    The sniveling designer athletic shoe ghetto walkers of the FSA on welfare, disability and food stamps are easy to identify. The rest of the FSA and government handout dependent or indirectly dependent are not as easy to spot. But that portion includes most everyone else from suburban clone bloodsuckers to vampire billionaires.

    Most of the people I deal with are affluent and probably fall into the top 5% -10% wealth and income wise. They take from the system in many ways. From farm subsidies to tax loop holes, nicely packed government contracts, government and military retirement, social security, the list goes on and on. The government subsidizes many of them indirectly through assistance programs and food stamps so they may underpay their exploited card carrying FSA employees. I wonder how dependent Wallyworld and many other businesses are to a significant degree on the the FSA cash cow. I wonder how many are dependent to some degree on the “not FSA” FSA gravy train.

    These more invisible FSA support most of my sales so I get my share of the FSA free money pie too. Most of my stuff I worked for but was paid via FSA money to some degree. But I did get my flat screen for free as a gift from my daughter who only 25 and flourishing as a criminal …..whoops I mean banker.

    If not for the oil dependent money out of thin air economic system that has evolved since 1913 probably 80% or more of the population would starve. The whole damn system is FSA and FUBAR. A total cluster fuck of mutually dependent fraud, vanity, delusion, debt and theft. We are all involved, all complicit and will get everything we are entitled to and deserve. A big fat piece of the Doom pie for everyone.

    I certainly make money off the FSA. But…I didn’t invent this system or vote it in. People who provide goods and services sell them to whoever is willing to pay for them.

    The problem is….what do we all do to make money when the system falls apart? Right now, my part of it IS falling apart, slowly but surely. It can only speed up from here. It’s pretty scary, really.

    Nowhere in my comment did I commend Reagan. Nowhere. There has NOT been a non-destructive to our kids’ futures president in my lifetime. Probably will never be such a beast either.

    Reagan had the gift of public speaking (out of both sides of his ass) and I commend him for that. But, I agree, he sucked as a president.
