IE is one giant problem. Hacker’s delight. Use Mozilla Firefox while you still can.

Just keep getting “stop running this script?” messages when I read actual post pages. Works fine when I’m in WordPress Comments mode. Makes me think it’s one of the ads.

According to androids web browser your site name doesn’t match your security certificate. Check your security settings concerning invalid certificates in IE.

I hate Microsoft. After spending two and a half hours of my weekend trying to get a Windows7 computer to recognize the gdamn Windows phone to backup pictures, I re
membered why I migrated away from that pain in the ass company.

    good luck, MSES

Amen!! I get SOOOO many security certificate errors I don’t even consider it a problem anymore. It’s more like a “feature”.

I have deleted IE, reinstalled it including patches, made ALL the suggested setting changes, run virus scans, etc. …. and nothing I do works. So fuckit. The majority occurs on this site and ESPN. Some days it happens every time I click, some days it never happens. But on other sites, like the Hoosier basketball I briefly visit daily … never. IE sucks donkey dick.

I use chrome, and whenever I hit the burning platform website, performance goes to hell. I normally have pandora (streamed music) running and it starts getting real choppy. So something is awry with the website.

The problem is with IE, not your site.

No problem with IE on this computer and at home I use Firefox.

Lots of problems with IE on older computers in this office. This is bad because our clearing firm’s site and numerous other essential work-related sites have full functionality only on IE. You can open them on the other browsers like Firefoz and Chrome, but not download essential reports or upload documents.

Yes, I get the “stop running script” messages, lots of hang ups and then IE stops responding entirely.

Am using Google Chrome without problems today.

Also some kind of problem on my Samsung Galaxy Charge – always getting a message of trusting the certificate or that the certificate is not the same name as the website.

For crissakes, when Microsoft itself warn you that IE is being hacked, don’t you think it’s time to stop using IE? What’s it going to take? Chinese people showing up on your computer?

Microsoft Warns of Internet Explorer Hack Potential
By Chris Nichols | The Exchange – Tue, Sep 18, 2012

Internet Explorer users, get your updates or go somewhere else for your browsing needs.

New Microsoft Logo and Store Microsoft (MSFT), the owner of one of world’s most widely used Internet browsers, says it has to plug a hole that’s left IE9 and earlier versions of the product vulnerable to hackers who could trick users into visiting malicious Web sites, allowing the remote execution of harmful code.

The company said Monday it had received “reports of only a small number of targeted attacks” and a fix was in the works. Microsoft issued instructions on what users could do for the time being to better protect their computers,

I’ve been using Firefox since before it was called Firefox. Almost forgot that IE still existed. Never missed it one bit!

So no….no problems with IE here.

Microsoft operates on the same theory as health care. It is more profitable to fix the symptoms than cure the problems. Nuff said!

Microsoft own a company in California/India that providers refer people to. They remote desktop to your computer and help you out for 45 dollars an hour. They prey on older people who have infected machines and use IE. That ain’t right.

  23. Administrator says:

Robert has informed me it’s not a problem with TBP. It’s related to a new version of IE. Here is a possible fix:

    1. There is a patch for IE 9 that you can install and it will fix the problem you can download it from here :
    http://download.microsoft.com/download/5/9/5/595D11B8-A0FD-4EA0-BF0D-F113258FC28A/MicrosoftFixit50403.msi

    2. From your desktop with no other programs running, click start > control panel > double click internet options. On the advanced tab, look under browsing and you should see two boxes to disable script debugging.
Make sure they’re both checked. Also, uncheck the box to display a notification for every error. This might minimize the number of errors you see.

    3. Sometimes old cookies or temporary files can keep returning you to a script error page. Delete cookies, delete files (including offline content, and clear history). Restart your computer.
